It is a must visit temple for its ancient history.
Established by Cochin Royal Family and now under the Cochin Devasom Board.

Navagraha is the specialty of this temple.,. A new Mast is under construction.. Lovely place...

Serene, ancient, spiritually uplifting and with the Navagraha, it's really unique

"Shiva" is at its fierce form here and don't mess with him here. This temple hosts a wonderful combination of Peepal and Maavu tree infront and a peraal behind. Temple is well located at the heart of Thripunithura and near to Poornathrayeesa temple. The temple structure is made kerala-dravidian architecture style and is more than 1000 years old. According to folklore, sage Parasurama has installed the idol of Lord Shiva.
This temple is also famous for Navagraha Pooja. Took few beautiful pics from my recent visit. Thank you

The beliefs of the temple, the parsurama established 108 Shiva temples in keralaand as much as this one also. One of the Navagraha existance here.

Main consecration is Lord Shiva. Also have shrines of Parvathy Devi, Ganesha, Shastha, Nagas and Navagraha. The temple pond is very beautiful and allow people who knows swimming to swim and take bath. Main festival is Shivrathri. Pradosha abisheshakam is carried out here. Very close by there is a temple dedicated to Lord Muruga and Ganesha.

Temple dedicated to lord shiva.well maintanied and neat temole.it is near to bus stop.navagraha temple is also there . peaceful ambience . Very famous temple in thripunithura. Shivratri festival is very good. Overall good temple to spent time peacefullt.

A very old temple .. the main deities being Shiva & Parvathy. In the same compound there's a separate temple dedicated to Navagrahas which is equally as old. A very calm n peaceful place of worship. Located quite close to Poornathreyesha temple.

Peaceful serene calm.
Locals call the deity "sivan paatta" meaning old grandfather.
As the name suggests,the deity is different from others in that it is not the angry form of Lord Shiva.
Rather,it is the benign form, which is akin to the loving grandfather we all remember from our childhood.

It's a prominent Shiva Temple in tirupunithura and pradosham is very important here. Public by large participate and rudjra Japam done on this day. Navagraha sannidhi and ayyappa deity also there. Nice ambience and gives you positive energy.

Very devotion but some daddy less people use soap in the pond so water is not good due to frequent use of soap

Chakkamkulangara Siva Temple is an ancient Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and Devi Parvathi is situated at Thrippunithura of Ernakulam District in Kerala state in India.The Chakkamkulangara temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva however temple is equally famous for the Navagraha pratishta. The Lord Shiva of the temple represents the Swayamvara moorthy though originally it was in the form of “Mrityunjaya” in his fierce ('ugra') form, facing west, featuring eight hands with various attributes. Thrippunithura is one of the Brahmin settlement in the ancient Kerala and Capital of Cochin kingdom. The temple structure is made kerala-dravidian architecture style and is more than 1000 years old.

Shiv is the main diety
Along with sree Parvati Devi and Ganapaty inside the kovil.
Main Vazhivadu is dhara, Kuvala archana for lord Shiva and kumkum archana for goddess Parvati and karukka for Ganapaty
The sub diety 's are Ayyappa and Sarpas. Offerings to lord Ayyappa I is elluthiri and turmeric powder for sarpa
Along with navagraha temple on its right side which comes under Uraanma
Where mainly people offer elluthiri to all 9 planets which costs around Rs 18 only.

This temple is very calm and nice, you will go there again and again. Such is the Pooja and the behaviour of the staff over there.

Like Thiruvairanikulam temple. Both Mahadev in front of the Kovil and Sree Parvathy is in the backside. Navagraha Temple is also here.
