They had so many sea food varieties and almost all of them were great. Tasty, clean and worth the price. Surely, its a place for sea food lovers.
The restaurant opens only at 12.30 and closes by 4pm, as far as information we got from the billing person. We went almost around 12.30 itself for lunch, so all the food options they provide were available. Guess that, as time gets late, the fish options might be sold out. The restaurant was fully occupied and all the customers were seen to be purchasing fish items.
The service was also great, that they were constantly refilling the items in our plate, as they get over, without even we asking for. This is very rare now a days, as people never tends to refill even if we ask for.
The basic meals (without fish fry) itself is worth it, for Rs.100/- i think. There were varieties of curries to try (fish curry, prawns curry, moru curry etc). Do try all of them, if you are going to.

Update - They have started non veg breakfast and dinner now. Shop is now open from 8.00am to 10.00pm. The rate of lunch meals have been increased to 120/- from March 01,2024, which is very much reasonable with what they provide.
And, the shop has been opened on the ground floor too, which has increased the seating area and provides more visibility to the shop. New photos of the place are also posted here.

I had a great time at Machli Restaurant, a non-food place that serves amazing fish dishes. My colleagues recommended it to me and I'm so glad they did.
The restaurant is on the first floor and it has a cozy atmosphere. It was very busy when we arrived, but we managed to get a table after a short wait.
We ordered meals with Machli special fish fry(chemballi fry), chala fry beef with koorkka and chemballi curry. Everything was delicious and satisfying. The meals came with rice and some fish curry gravy that was out of this world. I couldn't get enough of it. The side dishes were also tasty and complemented the main course well. The only thing I didn't like much was the chala (sardine) fry, which was a bit dry and bland. But the beef with koorkka was a perfect combination of meat and vegetables, and the Machli special fish fry was crispy and juicy. To finish off, we got some pineapple pieces with sugar on top, which the restaurant manager said was good for digestion. I thought that was a nice touch. We also had a sarbath drink, which was refreshing and sweet. It was a wonderful dining experience overall.The price range is very reasonable.
The restaurant is open from 12pm to 4pm. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they gave us some tips on what to order. I highly recommend this place to all the non-veg lovers who want to try authentic non-veg dishes.

Awesome food if you are a seafood lover. It was a surprise find & we loved the food. Very fresh seafood with a traditional taste. Healthy portions of serving & are well priced. Great value for money. A fantastic place for a group & family lunch especially on Sunday. A special mention about the Management & Team, they are very friendly & always ready to serve. Kudos to Machli 👏

This is one of the best restaurants I've been to in my life as someone who has eaten seafood from vancouver to Hanoi. The dishes are super fresh - kingfish caught at 11am same day we ate at 1pm. Very tasty too - apart from the thick kingfish roast, I suggest the squid roast, prawns roast and fish eggs fry. The rice plate is excellent too - really good samanthi and anchovies. They have some great curries they bring over like a tomato seafood one. I've never had before the unique sweet dish they have - a pineapple and coconut mix. They always ask if you're happy w the food and we all were. 1,900rs for all of the above and it was more than enough for 4 of us.

Best meals shop in Cochin. Even though price is little bit higher it's really worth the money. All items provided are fresh and tasty. Rs 100 for meals in which they provide four different curry you can choose what you want. There will also be two veg thoran, pappad , pickle, chammanthi along with the meals. Fish and beef specials are available. Even though fish item price is higher, the quality is unmatchable. Fish fry, curry is preferred. Beef specials are also the best. The meat used are good quality. Even if you buy just meals without any special, you can choose curry which may have prawns and beef items which is given along with meals. This place will be crowded during lunch time. It is recommended to reach the shop by 12.30 to get seats and enjoy the meals without any crowd.

The meals was hot and tasty. The side dishes are well priced and fresh. A must-try for affordable Kerala-style seafood in Ernakulam. Highly recommended.

For all the fish lovers in ernakulam this is the best place to go out to have lunch. They only have lunch with rice , curries , salad ,kozhuva fry as side dish. The pickle was so tasty, it was dates. Normally a very crowded place. When you go their always go with two or more people so that you can try all the special dishes their. Meenmutta fry is a must try 5/5, and remember not to over eat the same. The place is in the first floor so those who cant climb the stairs cannot go but can order through swiggy. Loved the food and the hospitality. Must try. They are not open at night, only open for lunch. Beef fry and special mutton thala also available. It is learned that they have a whatsapp group where they share the daily special items. Also they serve fresh fish caught on the same day.

Wonderful meals with Fish items. Very famous restaurant for meals and fish dishes. They have quite a good tasty food with a wide variety of seafood items. Every fish lover must try this one. They serve tapioca with their meals as complimentary item, which is also very nice..

This place is a top choice for a satisfying and delicious lunch. Their beef fries are outstanding, and their fish fries are equally delectable. If you're in Kochi, it's a must-visit spot for sure!

Had a great sea food meal. Side dishes were really upto the mark. Mango pickle was the best. Bought extra prawns fry n kakka fry and they were really good. Provision for veg salad in every table shows their commitment for providing good food. Enjoyed both their food and service. Keep up the good work 👍.

Meals with lots of curries and sides are tasty.. you will also get prawns pulissery, manga pulissery , salad, pineapple sweet etc..

Small restaurant with limited steering capacity. Lunch time will be crowds. Items are little costly but tasty and price worthy. Parking space also consisted. Restaurant located in road side.

Discovered this joint so late in my life ...but worth visiting here for all fish lovers . You get Kerala thali and order fish items and prawns and crabs from a variety of menu . Enjoyed every piece of meal there . Owner also full involved and gives that extra personal punch . 5 stars from me !!

Excellent food. Heaven for Seafood lovers i would say. ❤ Neymeen fry, Pothu fry with coconut, Prawns fry - all these dishes are a must try. Meals offered is of high standards. The tables are neatly arranged and well equipped with separate jars of Sambharam and Rasam. Restaurant is open from 12-4pm. Place gets a bit crowded by 2pm and the most sorted out special fry items will be sold out by that time. So if you are planning to visit, please make sure to visit here before 1.30pm. 👍

Only negative thing is that this shop is not that much visible from the road. Parking facility is not available but sufficient space is available for parking on both sides of the road just 100m away. So that is not much of an issue. Overall iam giving 5 stars. Right now we are regular visitors of this place and so far this is the best meals i got in Kochi.. ❤

The food and the price is unbeatable💯do try their fish platter of 500 rupees, crazy quantity of baby prawns fry, 4 pieces of tiger prawns, clams, squid fry, 3 sardines, fish egg roast. But the place is small, try to visit early afternoon
