My own Parish, both beautiful and spiritual serenity. The church is spacious enough to accommodate 1500 and in these covid restrictions around 35 chairs are arranged 2 meters apart. Sunday masses timings are as follows, effective from November 2021 - 6: 00am, 7:00am, 8:00am, 5pm. Communion is served strictly following covid protocol. Daily masses at 6am and 6:30am. Tuesday evening mass in honour of St.Anthony of Padua at 5pm

The new Church was Blessed and Inaugurated by His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Stanley Roman, then Bishop of Quilon on 2007 April 28th in the presence of His Lordship Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Gabriel Fernandes, Bishop Emeritus of Quilon and Rev. Fr. Joseph Detto Fernandes, then Parish Priest. The first Christians in Mukkad were of seven families who fled from Quilon on account of persecution in 1808. It would seem that there was already a shrine here in 1600 under Neendakara Parish and in 1765 a chapel was built facing the lake. In 1898 Mukkad was erected a parish. In 1899 the Maharaja of Travancore permitted the construction of a church in the area. From 1963 onwards Mukkad is having an independent parish priest.

The People of the parish are very active and devoted. I had a wonderful parish ministry in this church. Very prayerful atmosphere one can find here.
