Beautiful masjid. Inside wooden work is superb. Reconstruction of masjid is really good because its does not damage interior work and old structure. So Its give a Nostalgic feel and peaceful mind. This masjid is useful for Lulu visitors. Basically its location is very useful for people.

Masjid is on the cherannaloor highway opposite to lulu mall. Big masjid with enough options for the travellers as well. Very neat and good toilet facility. Parking can be a bit of a scene. Road side parking only. Adjascent to masjid there are enough food options.

One of the best mosque in the city. Near to Lulu mall. Easily accessible and have good parking spaces nearby. It's very spacious and has a peaceful environment.

A magnificently built masjid by the side of Kochi - Mangalore National Highway. Walkable distance from the famous Lulu Mall, Edappalli, Kochi. Prayer facility provided for ladies, though a little away from the main masjid building, is in fact a blessing for travelling families.

Formal Friday Sermon (Jumu'ah Khutba) is in Arabic language and is preceeded by an admonition speech in Malayalam language.

Edappally Juma Masjid is a masjid in Edappally.It has a history of more than 1000 years, the Portuguese army attacked this masjid during their rule in India to catch the Muslim freedom fighters. One of the great Indian Islamic scholar edappally Usthad K.P. Aboobacker moulavi lead the dars here for 42 years. There are 7 juma masjids and 5 non juma masjids 12 madrasas and a community hall under the edappally juma masjid.

This mosque is around 1000 years old and was constructed with the help of Edappally rajas. It was the site of a pitched battle fought between the Portuguese and the Arab &Mappila allies of Edappally raja in September 1536 C.E.The Portuguese had to retreat without taking the mosque due to the stiff resistance put up by the Arabs and Mappilas.The Portuguese captain Martim Afonso De Sousa was seriously injured and 14 Portuguese soldiers were killed in this battle. An area inside the mosque is always seen covered by a mat and is revered by believers.However,the reason for this action is unknown to the present generation.Probably this could be the site of the grave of one of those brave mappilas who succumbed in the fight with the Portuguese.The thick walls and the impressive wooden carvings are the main attractions of the mosque.There is a structure infront of the mosque known as the 'Thampuran Srambi',where the Edappally raja used to visit his Muslim subjects and enquire about their wellbeing.

An ancient mosque which is extended in to modern style. Highly recommended to visit this mosque. The Quthuba Mimbar and inside area are still maintained in ancient style. Well done for its authorities for keeping this masjid....
