St. Antony's Roman Catholic Latin Shrine, Kaloor

Whenever I pass by this shrine I hop in to say the Thanksgiving prayer. Lovely place to be. Every Tuesday there is St. Antony's novena. You can park your vehicle just opposite to the shrine and adjacent space at right of the shrine.

St. Antony’s Roman Catholic Latin Shrine in Kaloor, Kochi, is famous for the beautiful experiences that the church gives to its believers. St. Antony and his wonders are numerous, and people who place their trust in the saint will never be disappointed. Hence, the church is also called Kaloor church.People pray to the saint when they lose something of value when they want something in life. It is one of the most important pilgrim centres that give relief, peace and happiness to people.

It's a very wonderful peaceful place.

Car parking is too much problem facing that area. High traffic and public places near the national highway side stay this church

St Anthony's Roman Catholic Church is a famous shrine dedicated to the saint. Located in Kaloor. The novena day is Tuesday. Check the website for service details. Prayer petition s can be put in boxes in the church.. an intercessory prayer team prays for all the intentions. It is a very good place to go to if you are worried and feeling helpless. There is also an Adoration chapel on the premises

This is one of the most famous pilgrim centres in the whole of Kerala State. This is devoted to St.Antony of Padua. There had been a lot of miracles happening to many people out there who had offered their personal prayers and offerings to the saint. There are Novenas happening every Tuesdays until 6.30 pm which also consists of the English Novena. There is a huge crowd on Tuesdays. Even though there is a huge hustle bustle on the highway just in front of the shrine, the rituals and prayers happening inside are not affected due to it. Along with the Novena, one gets an opportunity to garland the saint's statue too. There are a lot of shops there that sell various holy apparels related to the saint. After the evening Novena there were buns offered to the people to eat. There is 'Kanji' (rice porridge) given to the people after the afternoon Novena. There is an ample amount of parking space opposite to the shrine on the other side of the road. One has to cross the road after having parked one's car. There are traffic policemen helping out people to cross the road by blocking the traffic for a little while. Overall this shrine is a must visit for people and pilgrims having the most urgent yet unsatisfied needs.

The Shrine of St. Antony also known as Chovvaazcha Palli, situated in Kaloor, Kerala is one of the biggest pilgrim centres of St. Antony in Kerala; perhaps second only to Padua in terms of popularity.

This Shrine belongs to the Archdiocese of Verapoly and is under the pastoral and administrative care of the Metropolitan Archbishop of Verapoly, His Grace Rt. Rev. Dr. Joseph Kalathiparambil.

The mother church of this Shrine is St. Francis Xavier’s Parish Church, of Kathrikkadavu, Kaloor. Just like the name Padua got associated with the Saint Anthony who lived there and motivated the people there to turn to God, Kaloor too became synonymous with St. Antony and his wonderworks.

You can find Thousands of people attending the Kurbana on Tuesdays. You can also find pastors from Foreign countries too on those Days.

Back in 2016-17 for PoGo players it used to be a major portal. Used to be a regular visit and always loved the ambiance.

A very popular church for the locals as well as the outsiders irrespective of religion or cast.
Church where miracles happen if you ask sincerely and with utmost humility.
Very crowded on Tuesdays but other days are comfortable.
The road outside will mostly be choking with traffic. Park a bit away and walk to the shrine.

Peaceful atmosphere.its a must place to visit.if you are visiting cockin. It's near the jln stadium and near the Kapoor bus stand.there is a bit of traffic on the way to this church.overall very nice place.

Always a favorite. Connected from 2018 till now. Place of worship, serenity, just near the traffic but can be calm by presence of mind.

Mass is available on all days.
Of the 4 Sunday Holy mass, 3 are in Malayalam and 11 am mass is in Tamil.

Though it's crowded on Tuesdays, huge amount of people turns up for the Novenas and prayers to get the blessings of St. Antony.

A small parking area is also available near to the adoration Chappel or Infront of Antonion hall on the same side of the church.

Tuesdays are the most important day for the church. Early morning 6:15 onwards mass & novena are been offered till last mass & novena at 7pm (English)

Those who wish to have Nercha Kanji (rice gruel) 10:45 mass & novena will be the better timing, but during sunny days this timing can be hectic due to large number people comes at this hour & humidity. There will queue for the nercha Kanji during this time.

Those wish to offer (buns or rice) can be placed in front of the st antony's statue inside the church.

Parking is available right opposite to church which is quite a big parking lot and another parking available just after the church in front of the adoration chapels entrance, which can accommodate 8 - 10 cars
Toilet facilities are available at this area.

I am from Mysore, and I was in Kochi for an important exam. a day before I visited the Shrine and offered my prayers and sought divine help. Exam was tough and I was totally relying on Divine Intervention. Yesterday my exam results are out and I cleared my exam. This is a wonderful experience and I thank St. Antony for praying for me. Thank you.
