Recently, I had the opportunity to visit a magnificent temple during my travels, and it proved to be an enlightening experience. As I approached the temple grounds, a sense of peace and serenity enveloped me, setting the tone for what was to come.

The temple's architecture was a testament to the skill and devotion of the craftsmen who had built it. Intricate carvings adorned the walls, depicting tales of ancient mythology and spiritual significance. The grandeur of the temple was awe-inspiring, leaving me in awe of its beauty and historical significance.

Inside, I found myself immersed in a spiritual ambiance, as the scent of incense filled the air and soft chants reverberated through the halls. The tranquility was palpable, and I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of reverence and connectedness to something greater than myself.

The meticulously maintained surroundings provided a peaceful retreat, allowing visitors to meditate or simply soak in the spiritual energy that permeated the air.

The spiritual atmosphere, stunning architecture, and interactions with devotees created a memorable experience. I would highly recommend visiting this temple to anyone seeking solace, cultural immersion, and a deeper connection to spirituality.

Chaurasi is a spacious level ground in center of Bharmour where the galaxy of temples mostly in the form of Shivlingas exists. The Chaurasi Temple Complex offers a delightful, clean and a scenic view. Another temple built in the same style is that of Lord Vishnu cast in his Narsimha avatar.

Located at an approximate distance of 650-700 km from the capital of our country. Holding a great religious and historical significance that are as old as 1,400 years, this temple is a must-visit for any spiritual sadhak (seeker).

It is situated on the pious Devbhoomi of Sirmour, Himachal Pradesh and has been dedicated to Mahadev, Lord Shiva. the view on the road is mesmerized. A real treat for eyes.
Because of its rich heritage, the vibrant life in this adorable town majorly revolves around the Chaurasi temple complex, as one can see a lot of devotees flocking the temple premises to seek the blessings of the Lord.
The word Chaurasi in Hindi means 84 and as the name suggests, there are 84 small and big shrines built in periphery of the Chaurasi Temple.

This region is known for the lush beauty of nature and is mostly known for the milky snowfall during the month of January, though, summers are great to explore it to the fullest. So, depending upon your taste you can pick the season in which you want to experience this place.

Many prominent local beliefs are associated with this temple. According to one such belief, it is said that after a person dies, their soul has to visit the temple so that their worth can be measured based on their life karmas. And the God who is responsible for calculating the karma of dead is Lord Chitragupta.

It is a belief of many that he has been given a room of his own within the temple from where he operates his Godly activities even until today.

One of the most revered places of Hindus, Shiv Chaurasi is the heart of Bharmour and is in the heart of every Shiv devotee. Enriched with enigmatic history as well as architecture, it was built in 7th century and still in good condition with the help of some renovations done by the authorities. The temple complex is neat and clean with one main temple surrounded by comparatively small shrines. It is located at the centre of Bharmour and glorified with magnificent views of mountains and nature. The air is pure and have a tendency to purify your soul as well.
I recommend you to search about this place and read the rich and unique history of Bharmour and Lord Shiva.
By closing your eyes and meditating a little, you can definitely feel the presence Lord Shiva here.

Om Namah Shivay
Made by Raja Meru Varma in the 7th century AD, the temples have been made using bricks and mortar made of ground lentils and butter. A visit to this site can be a liberating experience. Here’s a dekko at the prominent temples located in the vast complex. The road to Bharmour is good, but the path is a bit dangerous. Therefore, it is mandatory to be skilled in driving or have a seasoned driver to drive your vehicle. In true sense the City Centre of the ancient town of Bharmour. The mani mahesh temple and Vishnu temple are believed to be around 1300 years old. True ancient historical monument. The temple complex of 84(chaurasi in Hindi) derives it’s name from the number of temples there. You can call it the centre of Bharmour with every one visiting the temple in the evening and kids playing around there. A must place to at least sit and relax and notice the faith of people. There’s an old deodar tree and couple of old wooden temple structure completely aweinspiring!!!
