GEMS Modern Academy

My children has been attending GEMS for almost three years now and I felt it was high time I shared our experience for prospective parents who might be considering enrolling their children.
True to its 'international' claim, the school offers a diverse environment. My children interacts with peers from various cultural backgrounds, and I believe it's helping them develop a broader worldview.The International Baccalaureate (IB) program and IGCSE they offer is challenging and comprehensive. It's pushing my children to think critically and deeply about subjects.
In case of extra-curricular Activities, there's something for every child. My elder son, found his passion in the drama club as well as in football whereas the younger one went for music club.
Some of the faculty are internationally experienced which brings varied perspectives to the classroom, which only enriches the learning environment. The school boasts state-of-the-art facilities – from science labs to sports arenas.
In conclusion, while no school is perfect,GEMS,Kochi has been a positive environment for my kids holistic growth. I recommend this institution to parents looking for a globally-oriented education for their children, but I also advise them to visit the campus and interact with the faculty to make an informed decision.

My children are so happy in GEMS and they enjoy going to school. I can see the excitement in their eyes when they show us all that they studied during Gallery Walk. So happy to see their overall development, they are more confident to speak to anyone after going to GEMS. As a parent I am so thankful to the teachers and management of GEMS Modern Academy.

What I love the most in PYP curriculum is that the students are taken through a plethora of learning experiences which cater to their individual, social, and emotional well-being. The fun learning activities keep the children not only engaged but allow them to probe into newer levels of knowledge and skills. I am truly grateful to be a part of GEMS family...yes, it's a magnificent magical family where each member showers their magic. Its not just academics but there's music, dance, drama, art, all genre of sports and even more..The school infrastructure is awesome and well equipped for all these activities.
Each child grows holistically. They emerge as academically skilled, emotionally intelligent, resilient and children filled with gratitude... Great student teacher/staff relationship... there is learning, love, joy and celebration of life...

GEMS had always been a gem in my dreams and finally, when the invitation landed on my inbox... it was truly a dream come true..! Still, when I stepped into the school, the first person to greet me was Ms Hillary herself, the all-time-pleasant Captain of the ship. Though a bit new to this system, within a few hours, I got settled with everything, thanks to a bunch of colleagues who are competing to get a new staff feel at home.
It's not just a school, but an environment where learning takes a place naturally. No compulsions... no strict rules or regulations... no commands... no shouts... everywhere a smiling reminder and showing the way to go to higher heights, as the GEMS motto puts it - the future belong to the curious..!
That's why the children step in and step our every day with the same smile on their face.
I feel Gems, as a real gem of a learning environment with two basic reasons... One is the presence of the group called SPARKLES - a family of assisting team for children with special qualities and capabilities. Each child is respected and valued personally 24/7 and their achievements are celebrated!
Second is the wide variety of Extra-curricular options opened for children, and that includes all the outdoor game possibilities as well as the platforms like International mindedness.
I understand, being at GEMS is not a profession, but an environment where I grow with the children.

It is an honour for me to be a part of Gems Modern Academy, Kochi. Throughout my career, I have worked in different institutes and performed various jobs, but here I feel something different. Throughout my stay here, I have experienced a positive attitude, as well as good care, especially the support from the staff. The school's infrastructure is incredible, and it provides students with all the facilities and support they need.

As a long term parent of Gems, I am completely satisfied with the school. From the highly experienced and IB trained teachers to the state of the art infrastructure and facilities, we are happy that our children are in the safest and the best school in the city. I am extremely happy to be a part of Gems Modern Academy. The day I joined I could able to feel the warmth and caring of the school for the students as well as the teachers.The most important thing is the unity of the staff and its really amazing and I could see the happiness in everyone's faces.
The facilities  and the infrastructure is the highlight of Gmak.As many of the other places they call it's international and the facilities were below par.But Gmak is really really International with the facilities and infrastructure.The students are given the best training and facilities in sports ,dance,music,drama ,art etc apart from Education.Students with special needs are getting excellent support and caring at the school.Everything is going on excellent with efforts of the Management of Gmak.Very happy and privileged to be a part of the wonderful team.

I am originally from the UK and had been teaching in an International school in Switzerland. My husband is from Kerala and we were looking to move but back but only if we could find the right school: we were absolutely delighted when we found Gems and it is such a privilege to be part of a truly incredible team! The school is academically rigorous and the IB/Cambridge syllabus prepares young minds perfectly for the world beyond. The teachers are experienced, professional and unfalteringly committed to education, and the students are a kind, caring and dynamic family. The facilities of the school are highly modern and impressive, as is the range of extra-curricular activities on offer from climbing and eco club, to yoga and Trinity Speech and Drama. I feel so lucky to be a member of the team at GMAK!

I am proud to be a part of GEMS Group and GMA, Kochi. This is the second time I got a chance to work with one of the largest educators of the world. A very pleasant environment to learn for kids. Located off the hustle and bustle of the city. State of the art infrastructure and child centric teaching methodologies. Having my son studying here, I see a lot of 'teaching the kids to live a better life' than teaching them to score full A+ in exams.

This is my third year of association with GEMS Modern Academy - Kochi and my experience at the school has been consistently excellent both as a teacher and as a parent.
