Visit to the Olimugal Masjid...🕌

Today I had the pleasure of attending the Zuhr Jumu’ah prayer service at the Olimugal Masjid . I have learned a lot of information about Islam in my undergraduate experience, including the origin of the religion, the Muslim dynasties, and the values of Islam, but this was my opportunity to understand the culture with the religion. During this visit, I observed numerous rituals, scriptures, and methods of worship that are similar and different from my own religion. The most distinctive feature of Islam is the celebration of Ramadan.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, where Muslims fast and celebrate the revelation of the Qur’an. During Ramadan, Muslims must fast from sunup to sundown, withstanding at least 16 hours without food or water. In addition, there are certain health behaviors required during the fast, such as eating the most expensive and luxurious meals, donating food to charity, getting adequate rest, staying hydrated, and exercising lightly. Additionally, individuals are also encouraged to expand their faith by reading of the Qur’an or making prayer a priority. In other words, This month being Ramadan could be the reason for the high population of Muslims in the Zuhr prayer service.

The Zuhr prayer service is described as the prayer to Allah right after the zenith of the sun. The prayer occurs at this time, because historically other religions have prayed at the zenith of the sun, and out of respect, the Muslims waited until after their prayer to pray to Allah. There were a few differences I noticed between this service and any other service I have been to. First of all, I noticed that there were people wearing suits, as well as people wearing shorts. I talked to the Assistant Imam about the dress code. He mentioned it is recommended that the worshipers wear their best clothing when talking to Allah, but it is not required or

It is a most lovable place for pray. It is a place which is easily noticable on a normal traffic and on heavy traffic. It have an ample area for praying, carm and quiet inside. Rush and bad noices from the traffic doesnot irritate us inside the mosque. It is very near to ernakulam district collectorate, infopark, sunrise hospital etc and is opposite to the susrutha eye hospital.

One of the beautiful and largest mosque in kakkanad. This mosque located Jest 5 minutes away from thrikkakkara busstand.... This location easy notice from normal traffic..... Serene place of worship... Nice architecture..... Totally wonderfull mosque....Nice atmosphere... Free parking available here....

Well maintained sunni masid

One of the largest juma mosque in kakkanad and is located in seaport airport road. 'Shafi' based prayers are there.

Calm and quiet place for Namaz. Air-conditioned Mosque. Finding Parking lot is bit difficult.
