Absolutely unique experience of staying in a renovated palace with the best amenities! The people, food, activities and the service were excellent! We enjoyed the sunset boat ride and mohiniattam performance during our stay. There is not enough space to explain the kottaram. You have to experience it!

I was looking for two nights stay options in Kochi and having experienced CGH earth earlier at Kumbakonam Mantra Koodam, I called the reservation team for options. Since we where a group of 6 people including a kid the reservation executive Mr. Sanish recommended this property. though it was little expensive, it was worth every penny.

The reservation desk was so helpful in noting down my requirements and this property being a single key property, the entire food menu and other requirements are customized according to your wish.

the 200+ year old property was the holiday home of erstwhile Raja of Cochin (Property is adjacent to the Chittoor Krishna Temple, which was Cochin Raja's Family deity) was nothing short of royalty. the entire kottaram was ours for two days and the experience was unique and awesome. there were positive vibes everywhere and the backwater views where stunning. the atmosphere was quiet and each and every place of the kottaram was a sweet spot to enjoy.

The food menu is customizable and we had the kerala Sadya for lunch. every item tasted perfect and was cooked with care and it was a beautiful experience. Breakfast had puttu and appam and it tasted yumm. The cook Sajitha deserves a five + star rating.

The entire staff was very helpful and catered to our requirements. the property manager Milton Varghese made sure we lived a kings life at the kottaram.

there was also a private boat ride in the backwaters and the experience was good.

The support staff or the Karyakarthas of the kottaram as they call - Martin and Balaram also deserve a five star rating.

now having experienced CGH earth twice and satisfied, looking forward to explore their other Properties in Kerala and TN in the future.

A calm and quiet holiday in the middle of all the city rush. The staff were very friendly and caring. A small pool converted from the old pond style, which was what the kid in the family wanted for the whole stay. And a boat ride through the backwaters to enjoy the calm evening, thankfully there was no rain on that day.

We had a wonderful time at Chittoor Palace.. it offers tranquility by the water, with a lot of character to offer. The staff had been excellent in taking care of us.. food been amazing.. we were lucky to watch some stunning private performances by local artists too.. Will definitely return!

We felt we were transported to paradise when we stayed here. The house is absolutely gorgeous. Milton Balram Martin and Sajeeda looked after us with so much warmth. We loved every minute of our visit. The boat ride on the first evening the Mohini Attam performance the fantastic food including the Sadhya, the Appams idiappams the mutton roast and the Biryani were all delicious. This is without doubt one of my favourite stay so far.
The location is a hidden gem.
Best of all though is the lovely staff and the service you receive - it is truly superb.
All the staff, especially Milton, the property manager is soo courteous and did his utmost to accommodate our every need. He deserves a five star for his stellar service.
You are made to feel welcome and relaxed here. I am already looking forward to our next visit.

Akshay Vijayan, a young man who works for the Chitoor Kottaram property was an excellent host from the time we arrived. He welcomed my family, and myself with great enthusiasm and was attentive to our needs throughout the day. I will fondly remember the lunch. He went out of his way to serve us with care and love. He is definitely an asset to your team, and I sincerely hope you give him many more opportunities in the future. I hope to see him at senior levels at your company someday.

The property is beautiful, and is one of the best I have stayed at. The food was delightful. The backwaters which is right at the doorstep makes the stay even more exquisite.

One hidden gem!! Absolutely loved the care and the hospitality of Milton and Martin. Food will be the highlight of the stay.

Lovely cute heritage property at land's end. Serene and peaceful. It belongs to the Royal family. Good place if you want to keep away from the city noises and people. Absolute privacy (bcos the palace has only 3 bedrooms) and CGH hospitality. Private jetty. Beautiful Pool.

Chittoor kottaram is a place where the Gods must have lived.. Filled with greenary, flowers and fauna filled place. Great ambiance. Very well maintained by Casino hotel group. The wedding mandap was well decorated and at the shore of a brackish water. The vegitarian food was of very good quality and the service was excellent.

This place must be more beautiful under the lights in the evening.

Due to the covid situation, the protocol was well maintained.

The directions to this place in Google is to the point. Just follow it to reach the place.

With the outer look you may feel this cannot be the place, but once you are inside the gate, the Palace would be like a place in heaven

Chitoor Kottaram as its very name implies was the royal residence of the erstwhile ruling family of Cochin when the king sought to take some time off from their worldly duties and pay homage to the family deity in the temple nearby.
Beautiful abode that still retains that sense of splendor and serenity for which it was originally made.

The Chittoor Palace was a popular retreat of the Maharajahs of Cochin by the backwaters of Ernakulam.

The exact date of construction of the Palace is not known but it is believed to be more than 200 years old. The oldest document available is a letter written by a Maharaja of Cochin from Chittoor Palace in the 19th century to his nephew in Madras where he describes his stay at the Palace.

The Palace was one of the favourites of Maharaja Rama Varma or Chowarayil Theepatta Valya Thampuran, ruler of Cochin from 1932-41. He used to spend days together at the palace during the Utsavam festivities at Chittoor Temple, which is right next door to the palace.

It was also known as Southern Chittoor Palace to differentiate it from a Palace in Chittur in Pallakad.

It's a heavenly place for celebrations. It has a beautiful view of water body and a serene atmosphere. The palace rooms are also very well maintained.

GEM WHICH HIDES IN CHITTOOR.... WE WENT THERE TO CELEBRATE OUR 15TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY. AS IT WAS OUR 15TH WE MADE SO MANY PLANS EARLIER BUT ALL COLLAPSED DUE TO COVID SITUATION. ANYWAY WE DECIDED TO GO THERE AND NO WORDS TO EXPLAIN THAT THE CHITTOOR PALACE AND THE STAFFS FILLED OUR MIND AND STOMACH...THEY PLANNED TO CELEBRATE OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND SURPRISED US IN A GRAND WAY WITH A CAKE CUTTING, FIREWORKS ,TRADITIONAL LAMP DECORATIONS, FLOWER DECORATION.... TOOO MUCH TO SAY ....DELICIOUS FOOD, TRADITIONAL LAMPS FOR AMBIENCE ,THEIR LOVE, THEIR CARE...NO WORDS TO EXPLAIN.....LITERALLY WE WERE MAHARAJA AND MAHARANI FOR ONE NIGHT.
