It is a very old temple and the structure is good. Must visit for temple architecture people interest. Very calm and no crowd at all. A very old peepal tree, also called Ficus religiosa in entrance. A big garden also if you want to spend some time with family and kids. Parking is not free so be careful. Park road side has a lot of empty land nearby if you want to save some money.

Happy journey.. keep reading and helping each other!!!

This is a beautiful historical temple and a definite must visit if you go towards Nandi hills. Would have been nice to include more information next to key areas for a self guided tour as we got a lot of details on the architecture from someone in there that all tourists may not have the opportunity to listen to.

A very calm and nice temple. The temple premise is big and ancient. There is a stone umbrella inside the temple. There is a huge lawn outside the temple building, in the premise. Humble food is served for free with voluntarily donation. Parking available outside the temple boundary, also can be done on the roadside. Some quick snack options are available outside the temple boundary.

The architecture of this temple is awesome. This beautiful temple is near Nandi hills and not much crowded. This temple has a large park and a pond in the centre of the park. The temple is well maintained and clean. There are a lot of monkeys here so be careful with your things.
I highly recommend visiting the temple to see the beauty and architecture. There are two entry gates where there is enough parking space available.

It's a must visit temple. Beautiful huge temple with intricate carvings on the walls and pillars. A 1200 years old temple, it marks the dynasties of 5 different rulars of their time. Very interesting. The shiva deities in each of 5 temples are extremely divine and spiritual.

Amazing place to visit. You can see three dynasties of architecture. There is so much to see, including signs of how it became a place to stay. It’s a good sized complex with more than one dancing area, although some of the floor stones had been removed from the older part. Do look up to see the frescoes dating from the 16th century, and don’t miss the 16th century parade cart outside, carved to look like the temple itself. This place is well worth a trip.

This is an underrated place, which is good and peaceful in its own way. The area is big enough with multiple temple and historical figures. Must visit place on the way to Adi Yogi temple. It’s a very peaceful place to hangout as well and take beautiful pictures. The architecture is beautiful, especially with the engravings and detailings. Please carry some cash for giving puja in the various temples. The toilet is not great, they have the new ones installed but not in use. Also, you get to see and feed monkeys

This temple, believed to be over 1000 years old, houses ancient scriptures in Tamil and Kannada. Located near Nandi Hills, it’s a recommended stop for visitors in the area. The temple is maintained by the Archaeological Survey of India and features twin Shiva Lingas. Additional attractions include a tank and old wooden chariots. This site is particularly recommended for families and those interested in ancient temple architecture.

Spiritual place with good ambience. The views from the temple are stunning and there is a nice statue of Lord Shiva in the compound. Overall clean and spacious temple complex. Parking is a bit difficult and need to be done on the road side.

It is a very old temple built in the 9th to 10th century dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is well-maintained despite it's age and is a monument of national importance. People visiting Nandi Hills should also visit this place as it is very near to the Hills and is worth a visit. Inside the mandir there is a lush green ground and you can sit there and relax as well. No charge is required to visit the temple. To reach there from Bangalore, car is the best option.

It was truly a remarkable experience. The temple's architecture is simply stunning, with intricate carvings and vibrant colors that immediately capture your attention. As soon as I stepped inside, I felt a sense of peace and serenity wash over me. The temple grounds were well-maintained, and there was a sense of tranquility that enveloped the entire area.

Location - This place is near to Nandi hill's location, great place for a day outing. One can cover this place on the way to Bangalore from Nandi hills.
Timing - Morning 5am till 7:30pm I believe.
Ample parking space
Crowded on public holidays but darshan can be completed max by 30-45mins.
Garden area is huge and one can spend an hour or 2.
Now comes the architecture of the temple - MARVELLOUS.
Temple construction was started in 800CE and continued till 15th CE with support from multiple rulers like Cholas, Vijayanagara's etc.
This architecture marvel is a gift from our rulers and should be preserved by us at all cost, carvings on the stones and on the pillars are awesome.
One of the beautiful archeological feather in the cap of Karnataka!!

A nice temple with old time charm and beautiful stone carvings.

Be careful of monkeys and also do West full length clothes. Wearing short dresses isn't allowed in the temple premises.

People are nice and the crowd is regulated
