Central ground

Big enough ground to play cricket in groups and I saw many sports event happening too. Near to bus station so quite accessible.

The ground is peacefull with ample of spacs to play for young ones in the day the ground is surrounded by busy road and the transportation connectivity is good here

Central Ground is the heart of Thane City where all new emerging cricket talents born.

Good place for cricket.Not good for Running or jogging if you're not comfortable to walk in between cricket pitches or you can jogg on sidewalk. It's better at morning till 10 am and after 6pm as there is less crowd.Winter and summer there is more crowd and in monsoon grass grows everywhere.

Always great ground pleasure to play. .

A big ground to play cricket but you can't go and play football there they won't allow you... Also you can play matches there...

Very familiar ground for cricketers

Central maidan thane is a good place to play cricket matches only issue is although it's a single pitch ground it's open for tennis cricket as well so crowd can be an issue best time to play is 11 to 4

There are very few open places in metropolitan cities like Mumbai and Thane and this is one of them. Being closer to police quarters and police ground it is free of encroachments. Always full of kids or youngsters playing cricket or football. Also a place to hold political rallies during election time. A nice place to take an idle walk around watching a local cricket game.

One will find this playground always filled with busy playing kids always. The only bigger ground to play in and around central Thane, as far as I know.
Even in rainy season.. I find this football being played frequently though. This Maidan has produced many great Cricket players ! Probably for other catered sports too! Many fine cricket coach had helped the seekers make their career and marked their signatures on scoreboards!! We too used to play cricket in college duration.

I have enjoyed District level Cricket match & Enjoy Veg and NonVeg Mishal dish first time in Mumbai at Sagar Non veg Misal under the Hotel Pavallin at Central Maidan corner.
