Dear Mauritius Embassy staff,

I Mr Madhu Potharala citizen of Mauritius and have been travelling to India on the 6th March 2020 and was about to return on the 20th March but and not able to be back to as mauritius frontlines were closed due to lockdown. So I have been stucked in the city of Hyderabad city since the 20th March.

As such, I have contacted and sent an email to Mauritius High Commission in New Delhi and got an reply from them that if there will be a repatriation flight i shall be listed on a priority list.

On 22nd May 2020 Mauritius High Commission in Delhi, Mr Sookmanee (Head Of Mission) contacted me that Air mauritius repatriation is scheduled from Chennnai to Mauritius on Wednesday 27th May and Mr Sookmanee explain to me clearly that i need to take Covid 19 PCR in lab at Chennai and High Commission and has arranged the E-pass to travel to HYD to Chennai during the Lockdown in India to take a Covid PCR test to be able take flight on 27th May.

Finally, I'm grateful and I thank Mr Sookmanee (Head of Mission) for his humility, he is a cool in person and when ever i have called him he had replied to my calls despite he was under so much immense pressure, working for so many repatriation of mauritians and once agin many thanks to his entire team at Mauritius High commission in Delhi.

Thank you Mr Sookmanee for your help and great work in this Pandemic period and hope see you soon again......

I went to Mauritius in end of May 2022. For visa on arrival was given very conveniently. The staff was very good n prompt.
I m thankful.
