Tantra Cafe Restaurant and Beach Huts

In my opinion the best restaurant on the beach. Not as upmarket as some, no unnecessary music, but just a really nice, relaxed atmosphere. Food is great, prices are decent and the staff could not be more friendly and attentive. Super clean toilets and pressumably a super clean kitchen, too. I eat a lot of salad and never had a problem with it here. We are in the Tantra almost every day and will continue coming here until we have to leave for home. Full points. 👍

Probably the best beach restaurant on Patnem Beach. Went there twice for their fish curry and prawn vindaloo set meals which include rice and papad. Most other restaurants charge separately for rice/breads so the set menus at Tantra Cafe are quite good value.

Our group of 7, which included kids ate, dinner one night at Tantra café. Similar to the string of restaurants/shacks lining Patnem beach, Tantra's location is ideal for a perfect view of the ocean/beach while dining. We ordered everything - from drinks , appetizers to main course & dessert. Food was not spectacular but was not bad either, and service was slow (around 30 mins wait time) on a weekday night. Their music was a bit loud for my taste but my toddler and her cousins enjoyed the dance floor for a few minutes.

Overall, the ambience, price tag, location & good staff makes Tantra something to try out while at Patnem.

Amazing staff, delicious food and excellent accommodation. This is my favorite place to stay or even just to eat in south goa. The staff are incredible.

The BEST service and staff. For the same price e have spent hours reminding the servers we ordered food hours ago, with no notice. Here the servers know you and your order quickly and check in regularly and bring things out immediately. We loved the service so much after 3 days we switched rooms to stay here. Clean and comfortable, good price. Will absolutely come again!

Stopped for a drink - ended up staying the evening- freshest fish you could ask for !!! So good came back for a second night.
Massive prawns - enough for a main and I had three - but tried the butter chicken - and this was to die for - if you are ever passing through- stop, have a drink and chill - will definitely be recommending this place when we get back to the UK
(Cost - total cost for the entire evening £23!!!/ Butter chicken 300inr, prawns 70inr each with added chips and salad) ask for yadav! 😊

Great food and ambiance right on the beach! Ended up spending most of the day here and everything we ate and drank was delicious (and more reasonably priced than a lot of the beach-front spots). All the seating is very comfortable with great views of the water and the owner and staff are kind and helpful without being overbearing.

Best food on Patnem Beach. Very friendly staff and we got to play with cats. However, while the food is awesome having more traditional beef/pork recipes would have nailed it. The Vindaloo was amazing but chicken so it was a bummer.

I stayed here with my friends and we loved the place so much. Good people, good food and an amazing view of the sea. That is precisely why we went to Goa. Wish fulfilled. The staff is polite and helpful at given time of the day, Because trust me, we would get food and drinks urges during the middle of the night too.

This is our second stay at Tantra and both occasions the experience has been excellent. From the accommodation to the food and service all very good. Its clean and fresh towels and sheets. The owner of this cafe is very helpful and hands on. We will be back.

Yep back after almost 3 years. Same great staff; very attentive; not pretentious very chilled very Patnem. Great quality and quantity of Vegitable Momos.

Located amongst restaurants on either side. It stands out in service and food. Good cocktails and chicken vindaloo was the star of the meal.

wonderful food, drinks available, about 10 mins walk from the beach. Giving a 5 star because the guy behind the bar was very sweet to a friendly dog that came in. Had a great time there
