The stay is a different experience. The hotel is close to Kalapathar beach. The hotel is made in woods and give your a village stay feel. it’s eco friendly and close to the nature. Staying in Bamboo hut is a rare experience. The hotel doesn’t provide any TV Ac etc but the experience of staying here is really worth an experience.

I was there from 26th dec 22 to 27th dec, must say that i loved the place. The receptionist was warm and a very polite person, breakfast was delicious and we also had a massage in the evening. Situated amidst jungle makes it so much more of an peaceful experience. The rooms were unlike i had stayed in before, it was like a jungle outing for me. Services provided were good though there's room for improvement.
Overall my experience was great 😊

Very close to Kaplapathar beach. This place is an eco stay. So manage your expectations and understand what to expect from an eco stay.

If you see the cats at this place, please feed them. Especially the cat attach with this review. I met this cute one during my visit here. She will always have a special place with me.

Beautiful Natural resort.
Recently visited there in November 2021
Our stay was for 2 days.
The nearest location of sightseeing is kalapathar beach which on walking distance from the resort.
All other location of sightseeing is far away from this place, if you already hired a travel agency or rent a bike then no problem.
All staff is helping and prompt.
This property is actively managed by only 4 people and they all stay there only.
They makes yummy breakfast - presentation & packing of breakfast is excellent.
No cafeteria is available, they send breakfast in room only.
This property needs a bit maintenance like 24/7 hot water supply & generators & wifi throughout the area.
Lastly we had a great time at this property very natural & peaceful place

The more I say less it feels. Wonderful place this was. It is located little far away from jetty and sea. It’s in the midst of plantation with a relaxing view of greenery all around. Kala patthar beach is around 300 mtrs away from this place. You will feel good vibes from the moment you enter this place. The staff was really polite and friendly. It felt safe but it does get dark after 05 : 30 here. The cottages were well kept in an old fashioned way with lower floor to sit and upper floor to sleep. It was all calm and relaxed. They offered excellent breakfast. You’ll love it if you want relaxation and chill time and you’ll hate it if you are looking for partying.

Had a really fantastic time. Loved the ambience and the location of the resort. 10/10 for cleanliness. And the service of the staff was exceptional. Sukanto, the receptionist during our stay was beyond helpful. He made our stay a delightful experience. We especially enjoyed our rides back to the resort from town in the dark. Such an enthralling experience. And if you're staying here, I highly recommend catching the sunrise at the Kalapathar beach which is a less than 5-min walk from the resort.

The Manager and Kartik were humble and helping in person. The rooms were very clean and nice experience to stay connected with nature.

The property is just 2-3 mins away from Kala Pathar Beach which help us to witness sun rise at 5:10 am.

Powercut instructions were given in check-in time. We never felt , we need AC.

It is such a beautiful place that you will fall in love with it! We stayed at the flying elephant for 2 days from 12-14 april and for sure our experience was amazing! Manohar ji at the reception is a lovely host and makes sure you have a comfortable stay at the property. The resort is just a 2 min walk from the kalapathar beach (due to which we did not have to go to other beaches to see the sunrise, we saw it on the kalapathar beach itself!!). The cottages are made up of bamboo and coconut wood which is self cooling and we never felt the need of an AC ! The property is amidst lush green coconut , mango trees and water lily ponds! Wifi is a problem in whole havelock so do not expect much from wifi anywhere on the islands! The best part of the resort is our furry friends, James the cat and a doggo who are always welcoming to the guests and need some pats and ofcourse food! Manohar ji thank you once again for making our stay a lovely one!

One of the best option to for nature lover. Away from the hustle bustle. Friendly and helping nature of staff. Highly recomend to stay in paddy bunglow. Breakfast is superb. Kalapathar beach is at walking distance. Cab takes 600/- from Havelock jetty to this place so I recommend to rent a moped once you enter Havelock.

I stayed at the Paddy View cottages for two days with my cousins, and we had the best time and experience of Havelock there. Shareena, the host was extremely warm, friendly and helpful. The rooms were big, comfortable and cozy. It takes you to a different world. Loved our stay there. The restaurant was very good too. It's proximity to Kala Pathar beach is another reason why you should choose to stay there ! We'd love going back to this resort.

Awesome place to spend time or stay near kalapathar Beach. It's at a throw away distance from the beach itself and if you are hoping to relish the beautiful sunrise in the beach this hotel should be on your top list. The rooms are divided into 2 categories I.e. cottage with bedrooms on floor or bed rooms at an elevation. The cottages are made up of bamboo and evokes a thrilling sensation when you climb the ladder to your roof bed room. The service boys are excellent too. Part of a restaurant cum hotel chain they readily serve breakfast (included in the booking) and lunch & dinners available on preorder (extra charges applied). Enjoy your stay to the fullest, if you choose to book a cottage during your travel at this property (as local people call these resorts). Happy travels🤗

A secluded bamboo property amidst nature. Would recommend it, if you're looking to experience Havelock in its natural charm and want a peaceful stay away from the crowd. Special shoutout to the property manager, Manohar who was so amiable and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable. The property is located close to the Kalapathar beach. Bonus points - The complimentary breakfast was yummy.

As the name suggests, one can get forest like experience...
Facilities are limited, but their staffs are very responsive & courteous...
Complimentary breakfast is also good...
If you love nature and want to stay close to it... This is the right place...
Don't expect hifi amenities here.

Had an amazing experience here at flying elephant❤
It has a part of my heart now! We were 3 girls and still felt all safe, safer than our native places😜. Now we start to miss it😭 thankyou manohar , you were so sweet! You are the best!! It's in a deep jungle and it has its own restaurant which is very cute. The chef was amazing too❤. The whole staff is very friendly. A 250 meters walk in the woods leads us to kalapathar beach. And beach is amazing too. There are food places near by to have snacks and tea

Stay here if you can. So much nicer than the busy and noisy beach 3-5. Peaceful and relaxing in the jungle. This is the Bert beach on Havelock no doubt. Staff are very kind and go the extra mile. Food at the restaurant is next level - coconut pumpkin curry is the one.

My husband & I stayed at The Flying Elephant, in Havelock - it was one of our best decisions ever!

The resort is nestled in the far corner of Havelock, right by the Kalapatthar beach. Quite literally a stone's throw away from the beach.
The rooms were cozy & comfortable. We stayed in the Plantation Cottage - the rooms are clean & extremely well maintained. The best part of the rooms were the bathrooms and it's fixtures, it's completely in sync with the ecofriendly theme. It's beautiful as it is partially outdoor and you truly become one with nature.
Just sitting by the lounge area of the cottage and enjoying your cup of tea is so relaxing (we even got lucky with a lotus in full bloom right outside out cottage!)
There are quite a few resident dogs and cats to give you company and if you're a pet lover you’d be welcomed with a LOT of love!

A special shout out to Sherry, who manages the property at Havelock. She is such a wonderful manager - during our stay she went beyond her call of duty to ensure we were comfortable.

Even though it gets dark real soon in Havelock and the resort is at a distance, safety to getting to this resort wasn't a concern at all. In fact one the best part about the route to the resort is that after a certain distance you ride with the beach on one side and dense trees on the other.

Btw, if you're staying back for the breakfast at the resort, then definitely try the "Aloo Parantha"!

2 mins walk from kala patthar beach, this is a very secluded resort having bamboo huts for stay. It is located almost inside the jungle and offers tranquility and peace. It was like staying in the lap of nature. Absolutely loved the experience. However, the stillness and silence is so much, that we were able to clearly hear the guests in the neighbouring cottage having $*#, as if they are right beside us.

Firstly,
We came here in sep 1st week after second wave and booked online for three days.
But due to covid guidelines in portblair we had to do mandatory RTPCR test(free) and wait till the result comes negative(it took 1 day🙄)
So one of the three days of our booking at this hotel is already wasted and we when we came by to the hotel we requested the staff to extend the stay for 1 more day since we lost 1 day.
They kindly obliged our request.
Hotel review:
Pros-
1.One of a kind experience
2.well maintained
3.staff- very courteous
Cons-
1.bit far from the bazaars
2.there is no A.C (u don't need actually)
Overall, No need to be scared it is a completely secure place.
Cheers✌

Really loved this place. It's near to Kalapatthar Beach, about 2-3 minutes away. They have two varieties of stay, a machan, and a paddy house/bunglow. Staffs are limited and niceand really helpful, especially Sherry. She is the one who will take care of anything you wish to know, and anything related to your stay.
