On 26th January 1930, ‘Independence Day’ was celebrated in this park. On this occasion the Pledge was taken in support of the slogan ‘Freedom is my Birth Right’.

Shoes etc. This Jhandewala park having historic values many freedom fighters was sacrifice their lives during hoisting Tiranga. (tricolour flag). This park witness meeting of Gandhi ji and other famous leaders of India and huge gathering of peoples that time and after freedom of India on 15 th August 1947.
