It's a 7 storied building... The only concern was for those who can't use the stairs.. The North East side of our country is very clearly seen with lots of pics. Well maintained, clean and the automated lights..We enjoyed it. Don't miss the Museum. The view from the top is awesome 😎

A must watch place for the people who want to know more about northern east states and their history. There are a total of 7 floors (2 under the ground level and 5 at the top) which contains culture, attire, weapons, religion, livelihood of different tribes and locals of North Eastern India. Also a wonderful view point at the top of the museum where you can see the whole Shillong in a 360° view. The entry fee of the museum is 100 rupees per head and 100 rupees for one mobile (for capturing photos and videos).

Mentioned time do visit it

In Shillong's embrace, a haven stands tall,
Don Bosco Museum, a wondrous call.
Stories of tribes, cultures unite,
In halls of knowledge, vibrant and bright.

Heritage echoes in every display,
History's whispers in a colorful array.
Mountains' tales and folklore blend,
In this museum, where cultures transcend.

From artifacts old to futuristic dreams,
In Don Bosco's embrace, the past gleams.
Shillong's treasure, a beacon of light,
A museum that ignites curiosity's flight.

Great place to visit. You'll get a great foreign like view from here. Various things related to the people of Assam and Meghalaya can be seen inside the museum. You must visit the skywalk from the rooftop of the museum building. It's really a great place to get long views.

Don Bosco Museum in Shillong is a must visit. This museum provides a glimpse into the rich, beautiful and multi-cultural lifestyle, history and traditions of the tribal culture of Northeast India. The museum celebrates cultural diversity through indigenous culture, arts and crafts. There are a total of seventeen galleries, each offering a glimpse into the region's historical and cultural heritage. It will take you around two to three hours to explore the museum thoroughly. The Art Gallery's extensive collection includes rare paintings and antiques from across the North East . The layout and display are excellent. The staff here are polite. It has a small cafeteria with beautiful view of Shillong city. There is a souvenir shop where you can also buy some souvenirs. There is a sky walk that offers a 360 degree view of the city. The entry fee is a little on the higher side – 100 rupees per adult. If you want to take pictures with your mobile or camera, you have to pay another 100 rupees. But the museum is worth a visit as well as the skywalk.
The museum is open from Monday to Saturday and is closed on Sundays.

The best thing about this museum is its rooftop view. One can witness the 360 Degree panoramic view of Shillong City and East Khashi Hills. Besides rooftop, the museum has a great collection and it might take 2 hours to complete visiting the museum. Gathered great knowledge on the culture of Northeast India for here.
