Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurant

This was among the best food experiences from South India. Highly recommended, and the best part is that they are a family-owned chain of restaurants that maintain that same standard and quality throughout their outlets. Every item on the menu has been thought through with great care and attention. We drove five and a half hours for a meal here and it was well worth it.

Very good food. Biriyani was excellent.

Great BIRIYANI!! Loved the biriyani they served. It was served in a matka style container and was really hot as well. The pieces were mind blowing and super tasty as well. The sides we ordered was also really tasty and nice. Service was really great and efficient. I wouldn’t recommend ordering anything other than biryani and sides cause roti and Sabzi was really not that great. They have no clue how to make a tandoori roti so please be careful. Staff was really great and helpful, they don’t know anything other than Tamil so be mindful about that. Prices are okay considering the quality of biriyani they are providing. They have AC as well so really great considering the heat of Dindigul. Would definitely recommend if you’re a biriyani lover.

This place serves one the best authentic thalappakatti biryani.... the taste of the mutton is also soo good and soo tender.... but the place is small.... the food was delivered fast as soon as we ordered..... wouldn't recommend the guntur chicken to anyone because its all boneless pieces and not that tasty..... mutton nalli, mutton soup and mutton Biryani is a must try.
