In the city Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, there is a very famous and ancient temple of Lord Hanuman called Gargaj at bohdapur. This temple is situated on the hill of Amara Mountain. The story of this temple is incredibly interesting and mysterious. Let's learn more about this temple. The priest Ashok Sharma, who takes care of the temple and serves Lord Hanuman, shared that this temple is very ancient and his family has been serving this temple for generations. Their ancestors used to say that many years ago, there was a loud roar of thunder from fast-moving clouds.

After this, the mountain, known by the name "Amar Parvat," suddenly broke in half and fell down, spreading its debris all around the area. This sudden event left everyone astonished. Following that, when looked upwards, a form became visible on the mountain. To see this form, when their ancestors went up, the figure appeared to resemble the form of Lord Hanuman.

Since then, the worship ritual began here. This incident spread like wildfire in the region, and the immediate king arrived at the scene to inspect it. When he reached there, he had a vision of the deity, and at that moment, he offered the currency that was in circulation as an offering, which can still be seen in the temple today.

Those who come for darshan have their wishes fulfilled. Priest Ashok Sharma further explains that this idol is extremely miraculous. The desires of devotees who come here are definitely fulfilled. It is believed that if you continuously come for darshan until five consecutive Tuesdays, and circumambulate the deity, all your tasks are accomplished, and your desires are fulfilled as well.

During the rainy season, the waterfall flows
It is said that the idol emerged by splitting the mountain. That's why the circumambulation of the deity is not possible. Additionally, during the rainy days, when it rains, water flows around the idol, making it seem like Lord Indra himself is anointing Lord Hanuman.

If you also wish to have a glimpse of the divine form of God, then you can reach Bahodapur directly from the Gwalior railway or bus stand, and from there, you can reach the Amara mountain either on foot or by means of transportation. There are two routes to reach the temple located on the mountain. One route is for pedestrians, which goes through stairs, and the other route is available as a road route. This way, you can reach the temple directly via vehicles.

Feel free to ask any questions or doubts.

The building is very spacious and impressive. It is built on a raised platform. This temple is situated on the outskirts of the town and It is on a mountain peak surrounded by very tall trees You have to climb almost 100 stairs to reach the main idol of lord Hanuman. There are many beautiful idols of gods and goddesses. The atmosphere was very calm and peaceful. The visit was very refreshing and I enjoyed a lot.

Hanuman temple, located in outskirts of gwalior city nearby to Gwalior central jail and Mental hospital, it is located in a quiet and peaceful location on a mountain in order to reach up there you have to climb up around 100 stairs, this place is always less crowded even on hanuman jayanti, the view from up there is mesmerizing as you can see one side of gwalior fort and 1/4th of gwalior city, and even the evening and night views are great from up there.

This place is ultimate in divinity. It's a very old temple which was always patronised by the rulers of Gwalior. Of late, Birlas also took up it's renovation for some time. Hanumanji here are supposed to appear by themselves with a loud roaring garjna and thus naming it as Gargaj ke Hanuman 🙏🙏

This is a temple of Hindu god Hanuman. It is located at 200 metre high from the ground level for which you have to climb up stairs. The view from above is quite nice and it is mostly crowded on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

It's a place where you can burst out and get your calmness back. Very famous among people. This is a known place for tantrik worshippers, anyway I found this place close to the nature and positively charged.
