No one knows anything. NRIs if you are smart don’t invest your valuable funds here. You will never get your currency here they will give you in INR no matter you brought your currency from different world. Ask about difference in NRE or NRO account. They would make you fill out tax forms may ask your social security number etc to report the income. Then ask to pay GST 18% if you are converting your own money to foreign currency. Honestly put your extra money underneath the mattress. No sense of going to this bank having less knowledgeable employees.
