Budhiya mai mandir is one of the oldest temple of gorakhpur. Everyday thousand of people come to pray budhiya mai for the welfare of their family and their prosperity. Also a new temple is made just in front of the old temple. A small lake full of lotus is present between the two temples. You have to cross the lake in order to reach the old temple by a boat whose fare is Rs 10 per person. Especially on Tuesday and Saturday many devotees offer mango and other edible items to the monkeys. There are hundreds of monkeys ???? and langoors. Must visit the temple and be blessed.

This place has developed over time . Parking can be done near shops . Try to reach early as rush increase after 11 .

Explored Budhai Mai Mandir in Gorakhpur, and the spiritual charm is undeniable. However, the presence of numerous monkeys is notable. A very beautiful place inside the jungle. A pond is available between the old and new temple which can be cross by a boat at very low cost. Overall place is very peaceful. People worship here for their wishes and that wishes are get fulfilled. There is a story of the temple to know the story you should visit the place.

This temple is suitated in the kusumi jungle with the 4-5 km distance from airport, roads are also convenient but lot of monkeys can be seen near temple there are two temples old and new, in which old one of temples is located other bank of river. It is calm and cool place away from all noises.

People come across here from very far place to worship here as it a firm belief and faith of hindu people. The temple is from very old time with religious faith. A historical temple of Bhudhiya Mayi, very famous place in this area. People visited here for their prayers what they want in their life.But be careful with monkeys because there are so much in number.

Such a calm and pleasant spiritual place to visit near Gorakhpur. The breathtaking view and passing through Kushumi forest is amazing.
Money's all around. Lush green. The best time to visit is in the morning to attend darshan

Location of Budhiya Mai Mandir is very pleasant. Some good time must be spent here. Quite good approach road in jungle is making this temple a must visit place. Soothing air and relaxing environement is the best thing I found.

There is a small pokhra between old and new temple. This can be crossed easily through available boats at very reasonable fare.

We, group of 4 cyclists, went from opposite end of the city, i.e. from Khajanchi Chauraha, Medical Road.

As with most famous temples, keep your prasad safe from monkeys. The whole route through Kusmhi Jungle is found to be filled with hundreds of monkeys.

Large number of small shops, ranging from prasad to bhutta, chat, tea, samosa etc. are now open here throughout the year. Very long queues are witnessed in Navratri Seasons. Availability of public transport is good now. Tempo are available at reasonable fare from morning to evening from city.

Gorakhpur's airport (Mahayogi Gorakhnath Airpot Terminal) is very near to this holy place at around 5-10 minutes bike/car run.

However, although most part of the way through Kusumhi jungle, is a national highway (NH-28), but there is no road light. So late evening or night travel by cycle could be dangerous due to relatively narrow road and density of the forest.

Very famous temple of Gorakhpur. It has a very interesting historical story behind it. It has two temples, one is very old one that lies on another side of a water body, and the more recent one lies near the jungle roads. It has lots of monkeys, so you need to watch out for them. And it might be crowded on weekends. But definitely, worth a visit if you want to spend time in nature and spend a spiritual day.

It was a better experience for us...that we went there.... actually this temple(budhiya mata) is famous because for its story.......so let's explore by the story......long time ago, there was thin bridge between .....in which a old lady from the corner was sitting and asked a dancer over there....but the dancer was laughing on her .......and the old lady closed her eyes for short time.....and she given cursed them .....and they never reached the destiny and over there .... suddenly the bridge broken and they fall in river and died .......that's solved..... So we get the values that..... God had no image .....but they can come in any form either human or animal.........
