Vishnu Maheswara Ayyappa Temple

I used to visit the Ayyapa temple every day. I enjoyed the soothing evening ambiance, the enchanting mantra chanting, and the daily South Indian Kerala-style prasad. It was a serene and divine place, far removed from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I cherished this peaceful and tranquil place immensely.

The temple is really good and gives you the real Kerala feel. Unfortunately the location is the problem, which would get resolved by itself once the place becomes famous

Once visiting we get a feeling as if we are in temple @ Kerala.
Pls visit in the morning hours before 8:30 AM.

This is an ayyappa temple in kalwa.
I been visiting this temple since past 25 yrs.

Peaceful and divine.
I had visited recently to offer thulabharam for my kids.
The management are very supportive and helpful.
They have their known traders in Kalwa that delivers the offering at the temple if you plan for thulabharam.

Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa !! One of the less known temples in the Thane Mumbai area. Premises around are made the way temples are built in Kerala. Make sure to attend Mandala Pooja in Dec every year!

Early morning time is peaceful inside the temple

A temple that will give you the feel of visiting a temple in Kerala in Thane, Maharashtra. Temple is close to Chatrapati Shivaji hospital in Kalwa. The approach road, a very small stretch of road to the temple is not maintained well. There is a hp gas godown and automobile workshops in the road leading to the temple. The road leading to temple is poorly maintained. Only the stretch of road closer to temple is concrete and well maintained. The temple is very peaceful and you feel good after visiting the place. After Darshan spend some time in the peaceful atmosphere and you will feel rejuvenated. The place is close to railway tracks and the train passing noise will come through but still it doesn't seem to disturb the peace.

Beautiful Temple. Poojas are performed by South Indian poojaris. But open to everyone. Very warm vibe. No attitude very polite.

You can reach here by getting down at kalwa station then taking a rickshaw to shivaji hospital and after reaching there crossing the road and then a short path to reach the temple.

All Kalwa Devotees, without fail should help this temple to do daily pooja by way donating in kind or materials. Due to Covid19 the temple in need of help.
