It is one of the most beautiful and peaceful temple of Lord Shiva in Thane. I really love the atmosphere around the temple. The temple is very clean and well maintained. You can also spend time to feel calm and aligned with god. I have an amazing & peaceful experience here and I high recommend this temple to everyone.

Love to visit every weekend. Great atmosphere and enchanting experience. Temple is full of positive energy. The atmosphere gets so pious and splendid that it instills a feeling of spirituality inside you.

The Jagnath Mahadeva temple is an excellent temple to visit, either for Puja or for a visit to view an architectural beauty. Situated atop a small hill at Gaimukh village on Ghodbunder Road in Thane(West), the beautiful white-coloured temple has a beautiful Mandapa (hall) with a dome-shaped roof and a sanctum with a tall Nagara type Shikhar(pinnacle or turret).
The sanctum houses the Shivalingam, which is said to be "Swayambhu" (Self-manifest). It is usually kept covered with a metal cover shaped like a cap. It is engraved with the face of Shiva, thus converting the Shivalingam into a "Mukhalingam". The Lingam is kept uncovered on Mondays.
On either side of the entrance to the sanctum are statues of Dwarapalas, and on left there is an idol of Lord Ganesha and on the left an idol of Lord Hanuman.
There are small temples dedicated to Lord Mahadeva and Lord Ganesha, and a big metallic lamp which is kept lighted all the time.
The view from the temple is very nice, with the Vasai Creek visible near the horizon.
There are about 100 steps to ascend to the temple, which are not stiff at all. But for those who cannot or do not like climbing 100 steps, there is a fine motorable road to go up to the temple, and there is ample parking place.
During Shivaratri, a large crowd gathers at the temple, and on Mondays many devotees flock there.
It is a serene place no doubt.

The temple is on the top of a hill, in the Gaimukh village. It's a Mahadev temple. The temple is very close to the forest area. You are recommended to visit here in early morning or evening before dark, as it's very hot in afternoon and the mosquitoes will do the job by the time it gets dark. The priest is there, and has small quarter near the temple to look after. You can drive a vehicle right upto the hill near the temple.

The Jagnath Mahadev Temple is just opposite Gaimukh lake. There is two ways of going upward towards temple. One is stairs with around 30-35steps and the other way is taking your vehicle upwards which is bit sliding path. The temple is very clean and well maintained. You also can spend plenty of time inorder to feel calm and aligned with god. From temple you can also see a very good view of the lake. Very peaceful and calm place to be.

Very peaceful place, you won't feel like you are in the city. Temple is very well constructed & bit on heights. Except for Monday there is no crowd. You can even book this temple in advance for marriage or some other ritual. There are monkeys around, so that you can even take some fruits & offer them.

Very Good calm place, From the main road you have to take a walk either by steps or by slope road to enter into the Temple. It is in just above 40 to 50 meter height. I prefer the side road why because it is fully covered with trees and green grass. well maintained and organized by the peoples.

If u want some peace or a moment to relax, this place is the best recommendation as not only u can enjoy the peace but also the blessings of lord Shiva and a beautiful scenery.

Spotted this beautiful temple while I was on my way back to Mumbai. It's extremely well carved, clean & it's so peaceful.

Deep and divine. In a bustling and busy Ghodbandar Road in Gaimukh overlooking the Thane creek, this is a must visit temple situated on a hillock.

This Mahadev temple is calm and serene during week days and non festive season. Visit and take darshan, sit down and let the divinity soak in amidst cool breeze and calmness.

The Shiva Temple is a very beautiful temple situated utop a small hill near Gaimukh Village.One can observe the surroundings and Vasai Creek straight ahead.Place is very calm and relaxing.

This place is almost on the ghodbunder road. It's approximately 7.5 to 8 kilometres from Majiwada junction
You can reach here by public transport (bus), auto, Ola or Uber
This place is not very crowded and hence you will feel fresh. This place is above the road level and it's on approx. 70-80 mtrs elevation. There is a separate road for taking your car till top. You will get a good view of ghodbunder road from top There is regular aarti happens in morning and evening.
A must recommended place to visit, away from city crowd and rush. The Gaimukh chowpaty and Nagla bunder is nearby from this place

If you are looking for peace and serendipity.. This is the place to come seeking for it.. This mahadev temple located on a mountain in the outskirts of thane is a total bliss... The place is sooo open and peaceful. The idol of lord shiva is mesmerising and the serenity of the place makes u stay there for too long.. Best time to visit would be monsoon as the place looks amazing then.. The view is breath taking with mountains on one side and creek water on the other.. Must visit.

Temple is just far from city, at a peaceful place. There are steps to go to temple also a road for two wheeler & four wheeler, parking also available. Just opposite to temple there is gaimukh khadi & Cruise restaurant.

It is far away from the station. But buses and autos are available. Good evening breeze along with vasai creek view. The temple is good. Q
