We stayed in this property for 3 nights four days.This stay is very calm and peaceful.A proper detoxification.we travelled with our 7 months old daughter & the hotel staff's are extremely helpful to us in every possible way. Property manager is also very charming and cooperative.well maintained & properly managed stay it was.

The stay was excellent and the location was great. The property located inside the green valley. The services provided by the staff was great. We have booked one deluxe and one standard room, However, the staff was upgraded our room to deluxe at free of cost. They even made us bonfire. Our stay was different experience.

Good Room condition, clean Bathrooms, superb hospitality ...The day we reached there was occurrence of Hail storm but even then all room services were provided..
Superb Hospitality coupled with tasty food have made this place the best stay in my Sikkim visit...
Staffs were always on their toe asking what is needed and trying to provide everything possible within the limited resources they have...

Barfung Retreat located admist the lush green valleys makes for the perfect stay in the lap of mother nature. The scenic beauty accompanied by the chirping of birds makes this place rather enjoyable. The rooms are great and equipped with all necessary amenities. The food is good and the hospitality and well nature of the staff makes you feel at home.This might be the perfect getaway to spend your holidays in a quiet and rejuvenating atmosphere. The picturesque location and the cordial staff makes this retreat a must stay. Highly recommended!

The place is very calm, serene and full of greenery.. It is located in the mid of the forest which is a bit far from noiseful locality...The rooms are more than spacious and very well maintained..Foods are good...Stuffs are quite nice to us...If you want to take a break from your daily busy hectic life and want to experience a peaceful ambience, then you must visit here...

I would give a 10 star review for service if I could. Amazingly hospitable staff. Honestly, it almost felt like home with the amount of dedication and care they put in. The chef personally came to meet us to ask us what we would like for breakfast and dinner.. the sweetest soul I've met. All the meals were delicious.. fresh and home-made. Kebal bhai and Arpan bhai were also such sweet individuals.. they took very good care of everything, serving us meals even after breakfast and dinner hours, and all with a smile. They took personalized orders, even remembered our personal preferences and requirements after explaining it once.
This is the perfect place for people who like living in off beat places, amidst nature. Its perfect for relaxing. The view from the rooms are also mesmerizing- the Kanchenjunga is visible from the hotel rooms and the buddha statue of buddha park is also visible from here. This is probably the best hotel you could find in such an off-beat place, away from the city (it is located 2km below Ravngla). It provides all amenities a hotel in the city would but here you also have friendly, hospitable staff who will look after you and cook anything you want, for you.. so its actually better.

Excellent rooms and exemplary quality of service. We were amazed at the sincerity of the staff in making sure we were comfortable in our room.
You need to drive about 4 kms from the town to reach the retreat.

Overall a great experience. Good hotel. Excellent location. Will definitely recommend to friends, provided they want a quiet and peaceful place sans any shopping opportunities in a town/city.

The staff (Dinesh, Suk Bahadur, Sonam etc.) was very friendly. The hotel dogs, Cocoa and Sheru, were absolutely the friendliest dogs I've seen. They were our guide during our walks to the jungle, the Seven Mirror Lake and around.

A nice place to enjoy your holidays. Beautiful location, with mind blowing scenic beauty. A very homely atmosphere and cordial behaviour of all staffs. Nice food preparation with sufficient quantity. Overall, A must visit place.

It's a literal "hidden gem" amidst the small town of Ravangla. Absolutely picturesque location, the rooms were lavish and each of them had a beautiful view to offer. We went inthe winter season, but the room heater they gave us and the geyser was in great working condition and didn't let us feel the chill at night. Well maintained rooms and excellent housekeeping. The food was of high quality, from Indian to Chinese, to their wonderful arrangement of bonfire. Staffs were the kindest and nicest, I went there with my little pet cat who immediately took a liking to the place, even though they had a dog of their own (Baloo the dog is literally more well behaved than many tourists). The manager took us for sightseeing in his private car, and all the staff take care of their guests with utmost sincerity and attention. 10/10 would stay again and would recommend everyone .

It was amazing experience staying in Barfung retreat, beautiful and peaceful weather and atmosphere, very good service, food quility also good, living in nature lap feel like you are in heaven.

I went there with my family and a small Pet. IT is few kilometers from ravangla ..and a very beautiful, serene place. Rooms are beautiful and spacious. Foods are very homely and good. They arranged bonfire fire for us .the most important thing is their stuff. They are soo good behaved and helping Our out and us enjoyed a lot there. We will definitely come here again. And yes the gest thing is the little library in their dining hall. A blissful stay

A boutique resort in Ravangla, situated amidst the mountains and dense foliage and forest area. Beautiful, quaint and tranquil, with spacious rooms and bathrooms. You can only hear birds, crickets and trees rustling at night (and most parts of the day). Limited menu, but served with utmost love and care. They keep guests well informed about the menu and timings, serve adequately large portions, are very attentive to the guests' needs.

We travelled with a senior citizen and a kid, and were very well looked after. The room cleaning staff is also top-notch and very soft spoken. They have a quaint, stone-walled dining area and a lovely patch of greens to admire the scenery and a great view of the Mt. Kanchenjunga. Highly recommended for a peaceful stay in the mountains. You can also see the mighty Buddha (Buddha Park) right from their garden area at night.

Had visited Ravangla during mid-June with the wish to experience a magnificent monsoon in the mountains. Barfung Retreat gave us the ideal setting for the lazy and quiet vacation we were looking for, right in the lap of mother nature. The view of forests, mountains and endless rains from the super-spacious balcony of the suite-room was truly refreshing. Herds of rain-soaked-clouds would often pass almost through us while we enjoyed warm cups of tea in the balcony !
The stay, the food, the cheerful young group of hotel staff and the tail wagging furry friends , all made our holiday so so special.
The only thing that can be improved are the lights in the room. They can be planned in a better way, for the evenings to not feel so dull inside the room.

The place is away from the hustle and bustle. The view from the rooms are breathtaking. Early in the morning we got to see few peaks of Kanchenjunga wide and clear. The hospitality is no doubt superb. Staffs behavior food is also that se loved a lot. I have a plan of visiting the place again this time i plan to stay little more longer.

Beautiful, quiet location. I absolutely loved this place. We stayed there for 3 nights and really liked the peaceful, and pristine location with plenty of beautiful sights.We also got see Mt.Kanchenjunga early in the morning.
