Had a very nice experience but it doesn't had a proper maintenance, you can see the entire city top view from the fort. Try climb up to the end and you can see the good view. Somehow the final entry closed on the top may be govt. can focus and maintain to attract more people and make it as tourist place. Haritha had a restaurant where you can expect some cool drinks, ice-creams and tea coffe with snacks.

Nice place for weekend hangout. This fort is really beautiful and must see. Today I traveled to fort from Hyderabad, in mid afternoon because of very hot climate I was not able to climb the fort till end. But it was amazing while traveling. If the government takes interest in maintaining it looks more beautiful.

Went in month of October, it was covered with grass and greenery. Felt little wild and adventurous. From the top, the view was beautiful, may be because of greenery everywhere. I guess this will not be that beautiful during summer. Upto 30% of the fort we can drive. Canteen and seating in canteen was pleasant. View from canteen was also beautiful.

There is no upkeep or entry ticket for the fort. If you're coming by a vehicle, there's a road about halfway up although it's a tricky route. The fort itself is fun to explore with pots of hidden archways and steps that lead to beautiful scenery on all sides. Medal looks beautiful from the top of the fort.

A good ride destination for bikers. No tea and coffee served in the mornings. May be served if booked in advance.

The fort is located at a distance of 95kms from Hyderabad.
This is an important historical site around Hyderabad. One has to climb more than 500 steps to reach the top of the fort, which occupies 100 acres on the hilly area. Now, there is not much left to see, but as it stands on a hillock, it offers a good view of the district.

The view from this place is breath-taking. The ride to this place is quiet humbling. Away from the hustle-bustle of the city residing on top of Medak Town, the fort is worth the effort.

Though time has taken it's toll wearing it out, but the view is amazing along with restaurant at the base of this fort.

Good to bring kids here can drive car up to the fort gate nice greenery around with big rock mountains very beautiful scenes. From the height of the fort the whole madak town can be seen like view from the bird eye. There is not much to see no canons nothing just steps to climb but it's a very cozy place for couples to hung around.

It's an enjoying experience when you start trekking & climbing up the hill to reach the top :-) Avoid it during summer season & prefer morning hours as you might get tired in case you're not used to walking/trekking. Kids in our group enjoyed the trek to the top. The view of Medak town from the top of the fort is a different experience.

There's a Haritha restaurant where you can have some basic refreshment.

This fort is really beautiful. It can look more beautiful if the government takes interest in maintaining it.the masjid on the peak can be reopened with some precautions and railings.medak fort has the capability to earn a lot of tourism money . Only of course if the government had brains.

Visited medak fort in the month of sep 2019. There is so much of history to know about this fort. Fort is not well maintained. Even the way board displayed is also maintained badly. It took 1 hour for us to walk around the fort. One should not miss the entrance gates views and designs still visible on the walls.there is a police outpost on top of the fort.
It took 2.30 hours to reach the fort from hyderabad.Iittle part of the fort is converted for heritage hotel and restaurants.rooms available for stay.

Must visit place of Every Indian.
Located about 100 km from Hyderabad, this fort can be called a pilgrimage site. In the Western Chalukya, Kakatiya, Musunari Nayaka period innumerable ordinary people and soldiers had given their lives to save the Mother Land from the greedy foreigners. Hundreds of years of bloody history is written on every stone of the fort. Medak in Telangana was once known as Siddhapuram. Later the name was changed to Methukudurgam. It was known as Gulsanabad for some time after the Muslim conquest. Later, the old name Methukusima came back. At present the English name Medak is the only common one.

The history of this palace and dynasty is as fascinating as it is glorious. Prataprudra (2), the last Kakatiya emperor of one of the glorious dynasties in South India, received his throne from his grandmother Rudramma Devi. 600 years ago, a Hindu woman king (she used to call herself a king) was riding a horse and ruling the vast Kakatiyo kingdom , the story sounds like a story. The Thousand Pillar Temple and many monuments still stands as a reminder of their past glory.

Great place to hang out if you are in Medak. Not too steep. It has steps throughout the fort - about 100 odd steps.

Easy to climb. Approach needs to be improved. Tourism department needs to do something. Haritha hotel is there with about 3-4 rooms.
