Be it Kheema Pav or Dhansak, this Irani Cafe serves dishes that are finger licking good.

We started off with some Berry Burrata Chaat and Chelo Kebab along with Raspberry Soda and Blueberry Smoothie to gulp all this down.

I absolutely loved the kheema pav here and the dhansak rice which was served in this tiffin box has my heart.

For desserts we had the Rose and Almond Cheesecake and my favourite was the Jeroo Aunty's Chocolate Mousse

Iv always been a fan of SBOW and recently went to try to their new menu at Viviana Mall, Thane. The ambience instantly takes you to old world, Irani cafe charms of South Mumbai. The dishes we tried (as recommended) were:

✅ Purdhah Biryani
✅ Chocolate Mousse
✅ Watermelon Juice & Raspberry Soda as drinks

At Sodabottle Openerwala, stepping in feels like a delightful time warp to the vintage allure of Irani Cafes in Bombay. The ambiance, with its retro décor and welcoming vibe, sets the stage for a memorable dining experience.

Their revamped menu is a treasure trove of Irani and Parsi culinary wonders, showcasing the very essence of Bombay's diverse street food culture. Starting with the Irani Berry Burrata Chaat, every bite was a burst of delightful flavors—a perfect blend of tangy, sweet, and savory notes that left me wanting more.

The Chili Cheese Pull Apart bread was an absolute revelation! The warm, gooey cheese combined with the subtle kick of chili made it a true indulgence—a dish worth savoring slowly to fully appreciate its deliciousness.

Moving on to the mains, the Parsi masala roast with pao was a highlight. The rich, aromatic spices infused in the tender roast, paired with the soft, fluffy pao, made each bite an authentic culinary journey through Parsi cuisine.

What stood out beyond the incredible dishes was the attention to detail in preserving the authenticity of the flavors, all while presenting them in a modern and inviting way. Sodabottle Openerwala is not just a restaurant; it's an experience—an ode to the culinary heritage of Bombay that's both comforting and exciting. Whether you're a connoisseur of Irani and Parsi cuisine or an adventurous foodie, this place is an absolute must-visit.

DJ is good and plays great music...and if you are looking to refresh yourself Irani Chai is a must. .:)

The food was great. Chai, bun maska and the mawa cake are to die for. The Chicken Shish Taouk kebab was delicious 🤤

Food was delicious. Went for lunch with my family. The ambience is like an old Parsi Cafe. Service was very prompt when it was crowded. Try the Basil Berry, Coffee Cranberry, Chicken Farcha, Chicken Cutlet, Chicken Salli and Chicken. They serve Parsi, Goan, Iranian and some of the Maharashtrian dishes.

If you are looking for Good food, Good vibes and Good time then this is the place. We went for a quick dinner and enjoyed the experience. The service is good and the staff is also friendly.

Both the dishes were well made and well seasoned. Mutton was well cooked and soft.
The only drawback is it is expensive as compared to other Parsi restaurants.

Loved the mutton dhansak and chicken cutlet! Special shout out for the toffee pudding,we licked the plate clean! Excellent staff, very helpful and polite, with great ambience. A great experience!

Went there for afternoon tea and loved the laid back atmosphere and good food. First attempt at chai and bun maska and it was good. Bun was a bit dry for my liking.

Nice place to chill out on a beer with some great snacks. They mostly play old hindi songs in a low volume. But somehow your feet starts beating to the song in that atmosphere. Great ambiance & excellent service!!

Great food and cocktails. Nice music and ambience at the place. Prices are reasonable and the serving sizes are just about right. Nice helpful staff and well decorated interiors. Cocktails were tasty and well presented. Would recommend coming in for a quick drink and really appealing starters. Prawns Kundapuri was really really good. Salli Chicken - You cannot go wrong with.

I just loved the vibe of this place. I was in Mumbai for a month and I visited this place multiple times due to the ambience. I could literally spend entire day here. Paav Bhaji was delicious. Also loved Irani chai and bun maska. However my dad claimed that he had better chai and Muska bun at dadar :)

Food and drinks have a very fresh homemade feel to it that makes you feel loved. The menu is just mouth watering and makes you want to try all at once. Good interiors - perfect for all those instagram moments.

Its very authentic Parsi style food. With the preparation they add some twist. Example, sev noodle on top of chicken masala. Taste is very authentic and preparation is so cool. What i only saw is items are over expensive. Might be cause of its restaurant cum bar. But if you want to have only food and spend time with friends family, then also its a very nice place to sit and talk. Both the sofa and chairs facility available here. Staffs are warm & cordial.

Elder Bawa- fresh and refreshing spritzer. Well temperature maintained glass served with sparkling wine and gin was nicely complimenting each other where you will
Taste the slightly bitter taste of grape fruit slong with the infusion of burnt stick of rosemary

Raspberry Soda- one of the most iconic drink to have in Irani food/beverages. The new twist to the iconic drink will definitely surprise you. Crushed raspberry was giving nice thick textures where crunch of seeds was cutting off the liquid nature of the drink.

Jumping on the food SBOW menu is nicely decorated their signature dishes with modern platting.

Chelo Kebab- Highly Recommended. Finely minced Chicken marinated with authentic and traditional secret parsi spices was giving flavourful texture throughout the bite. Where juicy and tenderness of seek served along with pita bread, hummus and salad was well decorated on the plate and nicely complimenting each other. Sour texture of salad and spiciness of seekh was good fun ride of textures.

Smoked Chicken Mini Cutlet- finely smashed chicken with parsi spices and coated with egg batter deep
Fried in oil and garnished with yogurt based mint chutney on the top and bedded with low spiced roasted tomato gravy was giving very subtle taste. A little textures of spices could be more helpful to elevate the whole dish, where yogurt topping can be slightly towards sour/tangy side.

Moving ahead with the Main course SBOW and their team Has nicely worked on the main course where recommending you to try out their-

Chicken Sanju Baba- chicken Drumstick cooked in onion and tomato based gravy with thickness of almond based paste was bursting out in mouth with raw spices where chicken was amazingly cooked with the gravy.

Parda Biryani- Highly recommended. Full grain soft and fluffy riceayered with freshly cooked mutton keema and mutton chunks with medium spicy gravy was giving heavenly amazing texture of biryani. Ypu will smell aroma of fried onion and ghee throughout the biryani.

Chocolate Mousse- Fonest chocolate mousse so far. Ganache chocolate melt down and whipped with cream will not give you powder texture at all.

Overall SBOW is just perfect place to experience traditional followed recipes of parsi cuisines. Chef and his has done an amazing job with menu and will make sure to serve you good qualitative and quantitative meal.

its a very good place to have food and drinks, ambiance is very good, staff is very polite and humble, only major drawback is that they dont have washroom, we have to use mall washrooms, and those are far away from this place. and the taste of food is very good.

Had been to Soda Bottle Openerwala on a weekend. We settled ourselves in and ordered some chilled beer. Love the ambience and the music at this place. It really gets you in the mood to party.

Chicken Baida Roti:- A real delicacy with nice crispy roti and stuffed spicy chicken masala that just makes you wanna have more served with onions and green and red chutney.

Thick Cheesy Fries:- The classic fries revisited sprinkled with some masala and served with their specialty cheese sauce. Goes really well with your drinks.

Bacon Vada Pav:- My most sought after dish here. Yummy bacon stuffed into pav and presented like our very own version of Mumbai vada pav along with green chilies. The magic happens when you take a bite of this heaven. Again you can enjoy this dish with your drinks.

Chicken Farcha:- Yet another Parsi dish that makes you want to come to this place more and more. The best part is it is boneless and coated with some nice spicy batter mix and deep fried served along with mint green chutney and onion salad.

Chicken Bhuna Sandwich:- Another delicacy that you should definitely order here. This is a classic representation of Bademiyans Bhuna chicken. Bhuna chicken is stuffed between slices of brown bread along with cheese and sliced onions. Served with some french fries. Definitely, do bite into this awesome delicacy.

Egg Sandwich: A custom made to order dish that they were more than happy to make for us. Boiled eggs stuffed between slices of brown bread along with cheese and served with french fries.
Tomato Cheese Macaroni:- A yummy macaroni style spicy dish with tomatoes, and cheese.

Finally kuch meetha ho jaaye??? I am not gonna write about this dessert on my platter. Just gonna leave a picture to let your eyes do the drooling and get tempted.
