Wonderful place for practical learning for young minds. This place offers great learning experience for visitors. I went there with my students and they were amazed and learnt a lot about biodiversity of Uttarakhand and Himalayan region, rocks, Mountains, technology and the best part is taramandal which is newly introduced. You'll get a chance to observe number of constellation.
Must visit, maybe it will be a life changing experience for you and your child.

This is the best place for young generation. As it is well equipped with lot’s of scientific things. Regional Science Centre is definitely spreading scientific attitude among the students across the state of Uttarakhand. Almost all the topics of different areas which are useful in growing age students are available like from physics, chemistry, biology, robotics to Himalayan gallery .
So I highly recommend this place.

There is a 3 D movie of 15 minute duration and TARAMANDAL planetarium inside can get knowledge about stars moon and many constellations
The is two halls
One is related to earth geology and abouts mountains and many landforms
And another is related to physics chemistry biology

Awesome experience, full of science related stuff worth going there specially with kids, students, everyone should visit there.

Very interesting place I genuinely enjoyed very much. Apart from entertainment there is science behind everything that is placed there. There is one Himalaya museum denoted the himalayan people, culture, science and technology there topography and all. And there is frontier of technology museum in which innovations and inventions of india are displayed. Then if i talk about the main hall there are no. of things are there that we do and are based on science such as tap in air, tornado, power of air, music generate, colourful shadow, pendulum, etc.
There are star galaxy and movie show too which was gaining attention of everyone.
And if you come outside the building there is big park where every playing instruments are based on scientific terms.
Overall a nice and interesting place to visit which add up some values to you.😊
I hope these will be enough from my side and for experiencing more go visit there once.☺☺

It's a really good spot to go with kids if you are visiting / staying in Dehradun. Since it is newly made so almost all the activities are running in well conditions. Specially liked the 3D movie (which was on global warming) and effects were great too. Couldn't see Taramandal since it was closed due to corona guidelines. Overall a nice place to have some hands-on science activities.

This educational trip helps to enhance their knowledge and experience. In this tour we learnt different different discoveries by so many Noble price Winner scientists.Watched 3D movie about global warming.
Learned about our planetarium. Feel the Himalayas natural thinking and greenery environment & culture of uttarakhand.

When we talk about living beings & the things which surround us are all about science & technology. So being a human & specially a science student we all are very curious and I must say this is the place "The Science City" where you will get the answers & logics to many of your questions.🤔🧐

Best place for students o grab knowledge + Entertainment I must recommend to all student doesn't matter education stream whether science commerce arts any one can visit but perfect for science students or who are more interested towards mountain ⛰,but must visit before 3pm otherwise you will not able to watch 3D show it will take approx 2-3 hours to visit entire garden & science center.

It's a beautiful place to visit with your friends. You can have some awesome clicks here. The RSC in Uttarakhand State is developed by NCSM in collaboration with Uttarakhand State Council for Science & Technology in its premise at VIGYAN DHAM, Jhajra, Dehradun. The total area of RSC is 30450 m square which have Science Park and RSC building.
The Science Park encompass Dinosaurs park, outer interactive exhibits based on scientific laws, and Planetarium. While, the RSC building host Fun Science Gallery, Himalaya Gallery, Frontiers of Technology Gallery, Innovation Hub, 3D Theater, Auditorium of 200 sitting capacity, Exhibition Hall, Library and Meeting Hall. Some of the attractive features of the scientific law based interactive outer exhibit in Science park are Gravity chair, Whispering garden, Musical Bar, Sympathetic swing, Birding Cage, Eco tube, and Perspective house etc. along with proposed planetarium. In addition, Intelligent materials, New trend in nuclear power generation, cloud computing, Robotics, and Carbon nano-tube & graphense etc. are some of the attractive features of the inner exhibits in the RSC Building.

Regional Science Centre of Dehradun is located in Vigyan Dham, Jhajara, Premnagar, which is a newly created science park that educates as well as entertains visitors especially children.
This Regional Science Centre is 14Km far away from the ISBT Dehradun and approx 15km away from Dehradun Railway Station and can be easily reached via bus or shared autos (Vikram) etc., While Jolly Grant is the nearest airport (47km).
Opening Time of Regional Science Centre is 10:00 AM and closing time is 05:00 PM.

Regional Science Centre (Vigyan Dham) is a perfect outing destination for school children to expand their scope of knowledge. This science park includes Dinosaurs Park, a Himalayan gallery, a 3D theatre, a library, a 200-seater auditorium and an exhibition hall.
However, the highlight of the Regional Science Centre is the interactive exhibits that educate and entertain the visitors. Some the popular science exhibits at the Centre are ‘Gravity Chair’, ‘Whispering Garden’, ‘Musical Bar’, ‘Sympathetic Swing’, ‘Birding Cage’, ‘Eco Tube’ and ‘Perspective House’.

It also showcases important concepts like nuclear power generation; cloud computing, robotics, carbon-nano tubes and graphene to name a few. A planetarium known as Taramandal is also set to be operational where visitors could observe the night sky.

The Regional Science Centre (Vigyan Dham) in Uttarakhand State is developed by National Council for Science Museum NCSM in collaboration with Uttarakhand State Council for Science & Technology (UCOST) in its premise at VIGYAN DHAM, Jhajra, Premnagar, Dehradun. The Regional Science Centre (RSC) is develop with 50:50 share basis of capital among NCSM and Govt.

t is opposite of Shri Balaji temple 3 km ahead prem Nagar Nanda ki chauki Dehradun .
The most i like here is the special museum of The Himalayas.
Wednesday is closed in a week you can go there in weekend.

Quite an awesome place to visit...not just only child but even the adults can also visit...I will Better request them to go and visit there!!
All should know about this wonderful place... there quite a number of beautiful thing are there...and the taramandal and the 3d show is just awesome...the park is Also very well decorated!!
Just go and visit and enjoy the beauty of science...if you wanna visit the total please keep atleast 4 hours in hand...and don't forget to visit that Himalayan gallery!!

Every thing is good especially staff they are polite and well trained how to demonstrate but it's request to state government kindly provide regular expert maintenance team to repair unserviceable items such green mat 3d movies shows etc

the science center was very nice and this place parking was also available . dinosour park was good. and in center there are too many things to gain knowledge about science . every details on science theory was brilliant. the description about Himalayas and mountains and earth was very brilliant. and the taramandal show and 3d show was very good .please visit if you love science . it's really good place for childrens.

It was a mind-blowing experience.
Visiting there turned out to be the best decision. I learnt so many bizarre and innovative subjects. It was indeed very informative and eye opening experience to me.
I wish I could go their when I was a Kid.
So I can resist the fear of Science which unknowingly developed inside my brain.
Once again it was an amazing and worthy experience.
