The construction work is going on inside it(widening of runway and construction of Check In Area, Air Traffic Control Tower has been successfully constructed on 28th August 2018), under UDAN Scheme of PM Narendra modi it is being converted into Public Airport and work is about to be completed by July 2019(The work was inaugrated on 25th August,2018 ). However one of the main problem is relocation of people of Dundibagh Basti ,among them half of them have left the place, but the rest are still there waiting for place to be granted so they can move but They are ready to move and SAIL is finding place to shift them which would be completed till April/May 2019.

Well its still not operational but for a small airport this is quite beautiful and it got the perfect place

Currently under construction. New Terminal building works has been completed and few outer work is left.
