I usually go for walk for my peace of here I really got so much natural energy and vibration, this is historical place but it's nature makes more beautiful, now there is so many cafe, which help tourist to get food..

If you are someone who are travelling to dehradun then this place is a must. Very close to city. Try to go there in evening time.

The journey starts from khalnaga dwar. We actually, started running from Khalanga dwar at inclined road. The journey itself is natural surrounded by forest, silence, and peace. Khalnaga is war memorial which seems beautiful. Seldom at this place makes you want to stay for long.There are no shops at Khalnaga and is totally covered in forest. The road is not metalled but still good for those who seek peace

Located at just 5 kms from Dehradun city center at Sahastradhara Road, Khalanga War Memorial is a famous tourist spot in Dehradun which still depicts the brave story of Gorkhas. Its becomes big honour when an enemy erects a memorial of their opponent. It is perhaps world's first memorial erected by an army for their opponent. It was Britishers who constructed Khalanga War Memorial in the memory of their General "Gilaspy" and other army men as well as Gorkha General "Balbhadra Thapa" to pay tribute to their courage jointly after the battle of Nalapani which was faught in 1814.

It's an entrance to the Khalanga War memorial. The war memorial is not that impactful but the jungle is. Beautiful trees and dense jungle is amazing.
