best library ...in every term ...money,ambience,staff,facilities...almost every thing.... the reading room have preety good space to work nd not suffocating as others.. enough books for reference nd ...staff is awesome...they patiently guide u for everything...charges are also not freaking ...r reasonable ...living in small spaces of cities nd as a biblophile..i am indeed happy to find such place ...i'm not one who writes review often but ..i'm really grateful to see our country ,govt.,nd people doing such good in utmost important area ...made me to write this review ...I will say to those who are finding a library ..I will say go for it..but I go library for short hours nd long hours spending there can be different...nd here comes the lack of the library ..that it opens for less hours ..from 10 to 7pm for reading room nd library for 10 to 5 pm..

If you are planning to go to the Delhi Public library, then you should know that old library cards are now invalid which has a membership of more than one year. Now acc. To the new rules, old library cards will be renewed and it will have a membership of one year only. Also the charges for studying in DPS are now 200 rupees per month. Also the library is now shifted from its old place. So make sure to call the library officer before hand to know the new address.

Though I failed to get books of my desire, still the library has a good collection of books in various disciplines. Though I failed to get seat in the reading room, still there is good study rooms, both ac and non-ac. For finding a good book you at least have proper information about the availability in the library. For getting seat in ac study room you need to arrive before the time of opening of study room as soon it gets packed.

Best library speedy work and clean and quiet environment. Reception guy is best person he will help you definitely.
On renewing or applying for new card.

At first I went there with my friend to make my DPL identity card ....the person on the desk not soo good..i got my card within a day .....after that I used to go there for my preperations for my exams and i am glad to say that this place was too good to study ...they also provided a desktop setup with a internet connection for our help ...they have different section for kids and other members to study.....

This Library is a True Library for UPSC Aspirants. Instead of Paying Rs. 2000-3000 to Illegal Study Rooms in Old Rajinder Nagar, Aspirants Must Utilise this State Government Initiative. I would Suggest from Heart to Utilise it. For Outstation Students 1000/- is the Deposit for 6 months. You can Issue Various Books too. For Locals its Free. It's Air Conditioned.
Almost 2k-3k is Saved Monthly. There are 2-3 Shops Round the Corner at Pillar No 163 to Eat as well. Timing is 8am-8pm which is Good Enough. Do Join. It's a Government Initiative Started in 1951.
