Sagar Ratna Restaurant

Today we visited here and ate 5 Poori, bhaji with kurma and 4 Pieces of Dal vada with sambhar. Dal vada, sambhar with coconut chutney was so tasty, Dal vada was so crispy and hot. Whole atmosphere was so nice. Very nice seating facility is available here.

Always a go to place for healthy & filling food.
We were there at breakfast time. Restaurant is clean with ample amount of sitting space and charging ports.

We ordered cheese dosa, idli chaat and ice cream sizzler.

With the original idea of dining at HSB when we went, having seen huge waiting outside HSB, we
decided to walk into this huge restaurant- which was equally full but we managed a table at the fag end of the restaurant near the kitchen.

Very, in fact highly professional service, very tasty food. The wait staff constantly checking out about the food & more so, bringing the next item you order only after checking with the guest, shows their professionalism.

On the food part, everything was very tasty, quite authentic. All the three friends of us really enjoyed our meal. In fact two of us returned for one more dinner the next day, before leaving Delhi. Would highly recommend & for sure will be back.

Enjoyed the delicious Sagar Special Thali with 2 vegetables, dal, flavored rice, rasam, sambhar, 4 pooris, rice, aplam, pickle, curd and a sweet for 295 rupees.

After walking around CP for a while looking for something not too spicy to eat, we happened upon this gem of a restaurant. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, and the Idli Chaat was out of this world. Mixed vegetable Uttapam was also very tasty. Rava Kesari and Gulab Jamun rounded out a great meal.

A very warm eating outlet with a huge frame of Tirupati Balaji. The service was prompt, quick with friendly servers. The location of this place is also a key. We saw a lot of office-goers and families walk in the place. It had a certain warmth that draws you. The ever smiling staff just wins your hearts.

If you love South Indian then must visit sagar Ratna. Food quality is good, place is very neat & clean.
Staff is professional and there is enough number of waiters to attend customers.

Budget friendly & mouth watering food i must say. I love south indian so much specially onion dosa which comes with 3 types of chutneys & sambhar, very fulfilling & satisfying.

Everything top notch! We had their two different varieties of Thali, and everything that came with them was outstanding in terms of taste. Evan simple aloo sabzi was too good.
But i have to say i wasn't quite satisfied with their Veg Biryani (which some of you will call- Pulao, but I'd differ) it wasn't quite up to the mark!

Also, the chai looks better than it tasted. No match to a simple tapri chai.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sagar Ratna Restaurant, a popular South Indian restaurant located in my city. I had heard great things about the food and atmosphere, and I was excited to try it out for myself. I must say, I was not disappointed.

The restaurant has a warm and inviting ambiance, with traditional South Indian decor that adds to the overall dining experience. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Now, let's talk about the food. As a lover of South Indian cuisine, I was impressed with the variety and authenticity of the dishes served at Sagar Ratna. From dosas to idlis to uttapams, everything was cooked to perfection and had the perfect balance of flavors. The sambar and chutneys were also delicious and complemented the dishes perfectly.

One dish that stood out to me was the masala dosa. It was crispy, perfectly filled with a flavorful potato filling, and served with a generous amount of chutney and sambar. I also tried their filter coffee, which was a great way to end the meal.

The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable, making it a great value for money. The restaurant also offers a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, catering to a wider audience.

Very nice environment, delicious South Indian food.
On your request they also provide Jain good options as well which I love the most.
Tasty food.
Must visit if you are really funding good place to have South Indian food.

I enjoyed the food however I visited during the evening hours and the place was still getting cleaned so it took 10 minutes of waiting for us to get our desired table.

A South Indian themed Dine-In/Take-Out Restaurant in Connaught Place. It is a fine cozy space for authentic South Indian cuisine. I loved the humble infrastructure and amenities provided by the place.

To add to this, the restrooms where clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, not once did I feel I was somewhere new or alien, my order was served to me in a reasonable amount of time and the food quality was really good.

The shake which I ordered was also delicious and I enjoyed my stay at the place, the only downside I would say is that it is in a relatively small area and thus, when jam packed you cannot escape the continuous speaking of other people, which might or might not annoy you.

All in all, a great experience and definitely worth a try!

Ordered the Podi Ghee Roast Masala Dosa and it was the best Dosa I had during my India trip. The Podi made all the difference. The Ghee probably too. Three different chutni, the masala on the side, and two cups of sambhar. It's a lot of food, you definitely get your money's worth. The cold badam milk was delicious as well.

IF YOU WISH to have a good south indian experience while being in CP, SAGAR is the go to place. Good seating space. Quality service. Rich and hygienic food. And still better with the price range offered by similar restaurants in the area.

The taste of all dosa we eat are too much tasty. The garlic dosa is best I ever eat till now..
The best thing I had here is meeting a branch manager Kuldeep Raj Gupta, his sense of humor and dealing a situation with customers with patience are make me his biggest fan. Kuldeep Raj Gupta is a person with quality to become even prime minister, what a good person I meet today.

Wow place to experience the true taste of South and North Indian Cuisine. Sagar Ratna Janpath is also great ambiance wise. This place is far better than other Sagar Ratna Restaurants. Service is really good and it has options for all age sections. Best part is this restaurant is 100% pure veg. Location is also tourist centric.

Good variety of veg breakfast options but they can work on their chutneys more. If you fancy a colorful variety of mini idli then do try.

Value for money, as always they are, price as per dish portion is good, you can have samber, chutney as per your requirement, staff is taking care and are sincere, no need to pay service charges

I organised an office get together. Booked my seats in advance. The food was served cold and late. Service was very poor. Would not like to recommend for any get together or large group to go to this place. No one listens here, they take own time in preparation without worrying about customer requirement.

Sagar Ratna hotel is too good very hygienic food provided , Any time there were so many wating list because of nice food. Food cost is high but the taste service is good . Masala dosa love to it.
