The Avadhoota datta peetham is a beautiful ashram complex of Sri Ganapthi Sachchidananda swamy. The complex is huge and has 5 major attractions - Shukavana which is a bird aviary, beautiful Bonsai Garden which is in the Guiness book of world records for its collection of bonsai plants from all over the world, Karyasiddhi Anjaneya temple with huge idol of Lord Hanuman, Sri Datta Venkateshwata Swamy Temple and a Museum. The ashram is very clean and well maintained. Its open for public from 9.30am to 12.30 pm and 3.30pm to 5.30pm. There is a small entry fee for the bonsai gardens, rest all attractions are free. We spent almost 3 hours at the place and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Must visit destination in Mysore.

It is a big complex housing various temples. Lord Venksteshwsra, Lord Ganapathi, Lord Shiva and Navagraha deities are worshipped here, Apart from this Karya Siddhi Hanuman is very very famous. These are open to public for worshipping in the main temple complex. Inside the Ashram you have got Lord Dattatreya ದತ್ತಾತ್ರೇಯ, which is the main diety, worshipped by Shri Jagadguru Ganapathi Sachidananda Swamiji Maharaj himself. Apart from this you have got Musueum, Shukavana, Bonsai Garden and Sound & Light show in the evening on Saturday & Sunday. A must visit place if you are in Mysore.

First we visited the temple and then entered ashram through temple side. Temples have good vibes, calm and pleasant. There is anjaneya temple and Balaji temple.

From there was an entry to ashram mini bird sanctuary but unfortunately it is closed from Dec 22nd 2023 due to Covid guidelines. Next we moved ahead to vishwam museum which exhibits old times treasures.

Moved to prayer hall cum temple then had our breakfast there. Finally spent time in auditorium.
Overall good place for peace lovers.

Place with divinity and nature supporting endangered birds and bonsai park and Ayurveda and medicinal training center. And place has nice mechanism to loot people by showing parrots. No need to buy any entry fees because they take enough money from you more than you expect.

This ashram is famous for the huge aviary and bonsai garden.
We visited the aviary, it was free entry.
There were 100s of huge macaws and many other birds. 🦜🐦🪶
Some birds in cages and other freely roaming in the aviary.
They have arranged photographers who charge us 200-300rs per printed photo with birds.

Awesome place. Here they have created great bird rehabilitation center and its really phenomenal job. They have created small movie with birds and that's awesome!!! Large verity of birds are here and in some part they are freely open. Natural beauty is well maintained. So many small sculpture are placed. Look like birds are also so well trained that they allow to take photos with them without harming bird. Unfortunately photography is prohibited inside of the bird area. Must visit place...

The Ashram is home to Shuka Vana which houses thousands of parrots. We first went to the aviary and enthralled to see the variety of birds there. There were also opportunities to get clicked with the 🦜 in hand and with a cost (Rs.250/bird). After we visited Shuka Vana, we randomly went to the Hanuman Temple and were mesmerised by it. The temple is beautifully built and has a huge Hanuman idol on the top. We weren’t aware of the light show and came back at 7 PM in the evening. The Light Show was the highlight of the evening and we absolutely loved it! The light show is combined with Hanuman Chalisa and is beautifully shown on the statue. The seating arrangement is also neatly done. It is a must visit and to be planned well in advance - The light show happens on Weekends (Saturday/Sunday) and has 3 shows in the evening from 7 PM to 8 PM.

A must visit place! Beautiful temples, gardens, birds and bonsai garden. Laser light show is held every Saturday and Sunday along with Hanuman Chalisa recitation at 7:10pm, 7:40pm and 8:10pm. Feels so peaceful and divine. Highly recommended.

The sukha vana, the bonsai garden, the karyasiddhi Hanuman temple, the whole ashram's tranquility ceases us and makes us reflect and introspect ourselves. But we cannot capture the beauty of the ashram with our phones, but we can with our hearts.

Nice place for kids and elders to spend time amidst nature and animals. I got to see birds that are too human friendly. We get to hear chirping sounds of birds and see over 300 different birds that you might not see at one place.
This place holds Guinness book of world records for most number of species at one place.
Visit timings are quite typical and needs planning before you visit.
Entry to see the birds is free.

Must visit the place, you get to see a lot many types of parrots, bonsai gardens and a beautiful museum. Although you are not allowed to take pictures inside with birds, they will only click your pictures with parrots(rs10/ person) and macows (200/bird) and give you printed photos. There are timings too...If you want to watch completely plan for timings and visit

Had amazing experience visiting this temple. Sound and light show is amazing. Will visit this temple again whenever around Mysore. Ample parking space, restrooms are available. Light and sound began at 7.30 when we visited. There is cave inside the main Hanuman temple and they charge 10rs for the visit. I recommend to visit.
