Very nice set-up created. Lots of opportunities for photography. Had really good time. We visited for timepass thinking will spend one hour but spent 3 hours instead. Realistic village setup. 100 rs ticket seems like more but worth it.
There is shopping gallery at entrance. No entry ticket for shopping.
Also we bought scented candles at the centre, made and sold by handicapped.

This place is a time machine which makes one feel that he or she is in Shivaji's era. This clearly depicts a typical maharashtrian village, the work done for survival, the wear, the way of living. The premises has resturant inside the premises where local food and drink is served. Entry fee is Rs. 100. Worth visiting.

If you go to Pratapgad which is why you are on this road, you should definitely visit this place.

Charges are rs. 50 for kids and rs. 100 for adults.

They have created entire village during the Shivaji Maharaj era alingwith all the occupations that people used to do.

There are lots of spots to take photos and their Volunteers are very good. They take some amazing photos to make it feel realistic.

You can actually experience and try your hamds to get the feel as if you are driving a bullock cart or doing girni or taking out water from well, etc.

It takes about 45 mins to 1 hour and should not be missed.

There is car parking available in the vicinity.

There are couple if eateries with typical Maharashtrian food and 1 handicraft shop for any of your shopping needs.

Shivkalin Khedegaon is a very beautiful concept because of which we can show our next generation what the living conditions were like in Shivakal. How did the economy work? The exchange process is beautifully shown through statues and models. There are trained guides to explain these beautiful villages.

Nice place to Visit at least once every one visit when go to Mahabaleshwar if you don't go to see Points will ok but if you do not visit Shivkalin Khedegaon you miss a lot.

One of the best place to visit near the Pratapgad Fort.

It is a nice place to visit, a must visit.
If you have children, they should know our past, how people survive that time.

On our way back from Pratapgadh to Mahabaleshwar is this beautiful setup of rural Maharashtrian village, set in the 1600's.
We had a guide who explained each sculpture, every detail of the set up - what did a mason, blacksmith, farmer, carpenter, 'Patil' do in those times and how they helped the ruling Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
The Patil's 'Wada' was reminiscent of my ancestral village home.
Some amazing picks as well.
All in all, worth a visit.

And yes, the place was hosting a wedding where the entire village had turned up!

A beautiful experience and a must visit. It so well planned and detailed. They even have guides to explain everything. Truly amazing. Kudos to the man who conceptualised this and brought it to existence. A much wholesome experience that going to wax museums.

This is the highlight of Panchgani. A must must visit spot. It gives a Vibe of a village. Shown how ppl used to live in those times. A perfect replica of a tiny village. The house, huts, floor, kitchen utensils, Bangli, Doors and much more. Kids playing games, elderly ppl taking Shekuti, Well. Kids should visit this place. 100rs per person worth.

Before entry the 100/- may seem a lot. But trust me it is worth every penny. If you are photogenic then surely there are lot spots for it. The main attraction would be how authentic it is in providing great insight for people and it's vicinity during Shivkalin village.
If you are doing Pratapgadh then fort and this village is very good combo.

The village vibes of the place literally take you back in time. The setup is done so well. Can easily spend about an hour here. There's an entry fee of 100. Can also shop handicrafts and honey from shops right outside this museum.
