🌿🍲 Siboghana Waroeng - House Of Mandala Ease: A Hidden Gem in Ubud 🍛

Tucked away on a quiet street by the river, Siboghana Waroeng is a hidden sanctuary. Venture upstairs to discover a gallery adorned with art and mandalas crafted by the owner's father. This tranquil spot also hosts cooking classes.

Specializing in traditional Indonesian vegan cuisine, the food is freshly prepared with an authentic touch. The prices are refreshingly accessible, reflecting the homemade goodness served. There's a small table on the first floor offering a fantastic view towards the kitchen.

This is not a place for those in a hurry; instead, it's a haven for those seeking a peaceful atmosphere paired with exceptional local fare. The portions are generous, and their sate is, without a doubt, the best I've tasted in all of Indonesia.

For spice enthusiasts, you can request extra sambal. If luck is on your side, you might get to indulge in their delightful desserts. The beautiful garden adds to the overall charm of this culinary gem.

I recommend this vegan ‘Nasi Campur’ from Siboghana Waroeng to trick the food restriction for Moslem travelers that still fancy a true Eat-Pray-Love-esque Ubud experience. Two dishes make the surprise highlight: ‘Sate lilit’ made from cassava and grated coconut that delivers a chicken-like taste, and mushroom artificial katsu. The restaurant also has a homey and aesthetic Balinese household ambience. Simply 9/10. Will definitely have a revisit once I am in Ubud again.

Delicious vegan nasi campur. It was served wirh tempeh goreng, urap and fried mushroom. We also tried Gado gado and the peanut sauce was delicious.

Wanted to try the banana cake but they were sold out by 12 noon :(

The food took a little while to come as it is a small family run business. The food had a home cooked taste to them

One of the best nasi campur in Bali! Tastes super authentic even though it’s vegetarian. I love the nasi campur so much, especially the crispy mushroom! It takes them more than 15 minutes to serve because they’re all freshly-made which is amazing. The staff are super friendly and smiles a lot! Always come here around 3 or 4 because it’s not that busy. It’s also a very nice place!

The best vegetarian food in Ubud. We liked it so much that we came here two days in a row and we tried almost half of their menu ;D everything was super fresh and tasty. And we waited about 20min for our food both times. Definitely recommend this place!

The best vegetarian food I've tried in a long time. Their food was even one of the main reasons I came back to Ubud.

The best dishes for me: the siboghana soup, the fried noodles (no comparison to other fried noodles you'll find), and the banana cake (even though they seem to have changed the recipe, it was better before) 😍
Also, most of their dishes, they put fried mushrooms, which are really tasty as well!

The only dish that hasn't been so great had been the pumpkin soup - same price than the other soups, but much smaller.
Talking about prices, this place is so cheap for the quality you'll have.

The ambience is amazing, it's just far enough from the main street so you don't hear any noise, and when there's no one, you'll just hear the birds singing.

This was my favourite restaurant in whole Bali, thank you so much ❤

It was our first Warung in Bali and it is one of my best Warung here. The dishes are simple and tasty.
It’s quite affordable. Each dish is around 20k.
Please keep it authentic.
All dishes are vegetarian.
The pumpkin soup was good during the rain days.
The desert we took is too sweet, we didn’t finish it.

-Long serving time but totally worth it-

Simple yet delicious home-made vegan meals with generous portion. The nasi campur, mushroom satay, vegetable soup, fried banana, dharma tea and turmeric drink were really good. The sambal is to die for and the sweet-sour sauce for the spring roll was very much on spot.
Two thumbs up for the lady cook.

The waitress was always friendly too whenever I came there.

The ambience is quite unique as the restaurant is situated inside a traditional Balinese home.

p.s:
they're also generous.. I asked for hot water, not only it came with lovely pandan fragrant, it was free of charge! I was ready to pay for it and they said it's on the house.

Very tasty and authentic dishes, perfect for vegans. Loved the nasi campur.
The place is very quiet in comparison to other places in the centre. It took a while for the food to be prepared but it was worth the wait.

Delicious food. The salad was amazing. It mixes pineapple and papaya with lettuce, cucumber, and traditional salad items and it is topped with s delicious peanut sauce.

Food here is really good. The menu is not as extensive as in other places but it really tastes as home cooking. Just don't come here whrn you're super hungry as you'll have to wait on average 30-40 Min, they even warn you on the menu that there's a wait.... however it's worth it!

One of recommended plant-based restaurant in Ubud. The location is little bit hidden behind Purartha Hotel. They have the best vegan Sate Lilit in Bali I guess. All the look, flavor, even texture are very similar with the non-vegan Sate Lilit. Please note, they need 35-45 minutes to serve the food (it’s written on the menu). Yes, it took that long, BUT IT’S WORTH THE WAIT. I’ve tried Nasi Goreng (i use red rice), Nasi Campur, and Kare Noodles. Their Kare Noodle and Nasi Campur are bomb. Everything is flavorful, heavenly good. The price is very affordable. It’s truly vegan paradise.

One of the best delicacy & affordable vegan food in Ubud. All freshly made, but take some time (30 minutes or so) to cook, so don't get cranky if you're really hungry. But the taste is worthy! Come back here twice in a row to try another menu.

This is some of the best vegan food I've had in Bali. It's such a calming environment and the staff are beautiful.

The food felt homemade and plated with love. A must try is the crispy mushrooms (they are so CRISPY)

Best vegetarian food I ate in Bali by a mile. The dishes that we ate were so flavorful and cooked perfectly. We had nasi campur and balinese soup, which took good 30 mins for preparation. But the wait time is more than compensated after having the balinese soup. Its home made food in a really nice setting which made ambience perfect for a cool day

This restaurant is run by a Balinese family and has a very peaceful vibe, all ingredients used in the food is sourced locally. The food seemed to have been cooked with a lot of care and every item had a uniqueness to it. We loved the food, environment and the staff is also very kind. The only thing is there’s a long waiting time for the food to arrive. It’s a slow paced, peaceful place; so if you are fine waiting, would highly recommend this place for vegan food.

We ate here everyday during our 3 days stay in Ubud. The food is cooked slow and tastes delicious. Be prepared to wait, but you won’t be disappointed. Prices between 15k-30k, we found it very affordable. The girl serving the food was adorable.
