The Southern Hotel Surabaya

The lunch at the hotel with a scenic view, tasty food, and attentive service created a memorable dining experience. The combination of great ambiance and culinary satisfaction makes it a place worth revisiting.

Totally love the ambience and atmosphere of this hotel. It's compact but funky. The room was not too spacious but somehow it well designed and the layout was awesome. I just not comfortable with the bed since it's too soft for me. I prefer medium firm bed as it make a good sleep. For someone who love sleep with soft bed, then it's the best choice for you. The room also quiet and various TV channels available.
Breakfast was fair but I found different taste during lunch time. It's more delicate and tasty. Already plan to stay here in couple days forward.

Stayed there for 2 weeks straight. Totally satisfied with the services. Staffs are friendly, efficient, and nice. Cleanliness top notch.
Walking distance to marts (Indomaret & alfamart) to buy for Indonesian foods, snacks and drinks that not sold in Malaysia haha.

Note that I can hear the bar's noise (music and singing) from my room (level 8th) at night, but I am fine with it.

I'm suggesting to have few seating at the lobby (especially for pregnant women or elderly) since I need to stand while waiting for Grab.
They have seating at the lobby café area, but I feel bad to sit there without ordering anything.

Special thanks to receptionist cute girl Nia. Appreciate her support to translate English to the local Taxi driver and assistant us solve the problem. She is so nice and friendly, making me feel so welcome and enhancing my travel experience. So happy to stay with this hotel and have the considerate services. Once again, thanks Nia for making my day.

- the changing of the hotel name itself is still confusing, which led to misunderstanding between public and the hotel visitors.

- kinda weird to provide a menu to be served (meatballs), but no one is standing by. I had to called one of the staff to get it done. Besides, there's also no written details about it as well. Kinda disguised.

- the ice cream texture isn't as thick as it usually should be. Just plain, and not vanilla tasted.

I only use the vip room for transit before enjoying the lunch buffet, so not yet using the room for a staycation.

We had a great stay in The Southern hotel. It was very comfortable. Almiya at front desk was very helpful throughout our stay. We will definitely come back to the hotel for our next visit to Surbaya

Unfortunately gym is so small but it is okay bcs so far Im satisfied enough.
Breakfast is delicious and have many variations! Unfortunately I was sick so I couldn't try many.
Hotel's price is not pricy. It is cheap for this kind of satisfying services.

My little sister had wedding in this hotel last week. Super happy and sad at the same time. Cant believe she's someone's husband now. Anyway i stayed night before the wedding. Nice hotel by the way!

The best hotel surrounding Jemursari area. The only four star hotel and also the only hotel having swimming pool in this area, definitely will be the family choice to bring kids for weekend gateway.
They always do the service excellent, great smile and good behavior.

The building, the facilities, the staffs and of course the food is all perfect. The price also affordable with a very strategic location. They also provide meeting room including projector, sound system.

Check in process took too long, there was a little problem with my bookings. I booked 3 rooms for 2 nights with connecting rooms (2), nearby (1). The reception said that my request available but for 1 night and have to move to other rooms the day after. I got confused why it has to be that way, i insisted not agree to move, and stay in my rooms. It almost took an hour to finally got my rooms without moving the next day.

Rooms was spacious and clean as we always choose Ibis Styles in every city we visited.

Breakfast was superb with many variety of food and beverage. There was a nescafé coffee machine also.

We had a little trouble with my AC and the technician repaired it with politely and efficient.

Please give credit to the breakfast staff named KAK IRFAN. He was so nice, polite and helpfull for our two days breakfast. Thank you kak!

Will come back again!

The services is good. I give my big thumb for the breakfast menu. It's totally different with the others. Traditional menu look like sambelan or penyetan is available here. And about price room is obviously reasonable.

I stayed in room 1019 for two days. There's nothing to complain. All is perfect! The room is comfortable. It's clean, and cozy. The AC worked great. The cool box is very useful. The coffee maker is very handy. The hot shower worked well. And most of all I like the food. The gym and the pool is nice. I would love to get back and stay again.

One of the best and cheap hotels in East Surabaya. The room was super comfy, good facilities and super nice staff. I arrived when the hotel was having an event and due to the small capacity of the elevator, we can't go up. However, one of the staff was nice enough to let us go from the back lift. We thank her a lot of times since the people in the guest lift is so crowding and due to the pandemic, I am a bit anxious. I'm giving good credit to this hotel and you should definitely stay in this hotel if you come to Surabaya!

Favourite place to stay. A lot of foods variety. Taste from decent to good. Staffs are very friendly and fast response. Everything is perfect. From the hotel room the view is amazing. So far one of my fav place to stay in Surabaya. Some traditional food like Rujak Cingur and gado-gado is delicious.

My office happens to held a few conferences/trainings in this hotel, so far staff and participants expressed their positive experience staying at this hotel. Among the things that we like are namely; Friendly staff, overall cleanliness, multiple meeting rooms with various sizes to accommodate different needs, and for me personally what I’m most impressed with is the restaurant and the lounge near the swimming pool (And of course the pool itself!). The taste and variety of meals served during breakfast and lunch time were amazing. The infinity pool was spot on, the lounge was a great place to hang out and “environment friendly” for smokers like me. Overall a highly recommended hotel for business purposes or simply to have a weekend getaway with your family.
