Glagah Indah Beach

It's a nice place to spent your free time.
There are market, restaurant, swimming pool for kids, laguna, etc. So, you can do a lot of things like fishing, trying to catch some little crabs, riding the boat at laguna, shopping in the market (you can find various souvenir), or just walking and taking some picture.
Oh, if you like plane, you can see them landing to the airport near the beach.

Nice little town close to Yogyakarta, worth a visit. Take a walk on the beach or make a boat trip in the bay. Lots of warungs and sea food. A brand new airport is under construction close to this place (2018/2019).

The location is really close to the Yogyakarta International Airport, only about 10 minutes with car. The sand is black and soft, with strong waves. Recommended to visit if you want to see the sunset. No entry tickets, only parking ticket.

Black Sand and Clean Area, You also can look big wave in this Area, but don't try to swim over the Guide Line due to this Wave if Very Dangerous and already a lot of Victim that died here. But if you can take care your self you will feel at home due to the wind is make you comfy. Bring your family and your friend here to get new experience with the Glagah Beach. Glagah beach is one of the destination tourism in west progo with many spot. Dermaga, lagoon, flower park, huge parking..in a few years..this place will be near from Yogyakarta International airport..

Popular beach spot and place for spend your time with family around amazing point of view for greatest southern sea. Tickets 6k/person and for parking fee around 10k for car. There are many food stall which sold fried seafood. Best time to visit around 3-4 pm, or golden hour for take a some marvelous picture

Since this is south beach, you won't find banana boats or other water sport. But they have boat for short trip in their lagoon. The price is Rp 10.000 each person or Rp 100.000 per boat. They have a lot souvenir shops, restaurants, mini pool, and a lot of bathrooms. Enjoy!!

Glagah Beach has a calm lagoon just behind the main beach. There's plenty of food stalls, providing grilled fresh fish and young coconut fruits. You can ride the boat in the lagoon for a fee. There's also many outdoor yards, usually used as outbound activities.

The main beach itself is a bit scary. The sand is black and the waves are strong. Swimming is prohibited, but fishing is free. You can walk on the wide wave-breaker to the furthest point and watch the sea from there. It's hot here so be prepared with a hat or headgear.

Glagah Beach is located near New Yogyakarta International Airport, so you can spend your waiting time on the beach before check-in to the airport.

You can't swim here. You can ride a boat that will bring you to a small lake. There are several restaurants that offer grilled fish and other seafood.
