Taman Prestasi Surabaya

This park quite enjoyable, though located in city center. Parking for car is quite challenging as it only have limited spot. This park had several options for kids activities, but still need to improve on safety and cleanliness.

Taman Prestasi can be freely translated as the Park of Achievement is situated along the main river that flows through the city center of Surabaya. When you turn left from the main street after the Big General Soedirman statue, you will see the installment of a fighter plane.
If you go through the main entrance, you will see a connecting bridge to the backyard of the Presidential Palace called Grahadi. This old beautiful Grahadi also functions as the house of the East Java governor to receive important guests.
If you really care about the history of the city, the small wharf by the river next to the connecting bridge used to be the entry point of the building, and the massive lawn which is now the front yard used to be the backyard. The connecting bridge is of course locked due to protocolar reasons. Kids love it so much here because they can play a lot.
One probably good thing about this park is that no vendors are allowed. This park is one among the very few that is strictly patrolled by the Satuan Polisi Pamong Praja or the Civil Service Police Unit. Under this circumstance, you can rest assured that your kids will not beg for balloons, sweets, kites, molly fish, or detergent bubbles. or things that will force you to spend at least IDR 50,000 in one go.
This park also functions as the departure point of little boats that sail along the river for kids. I once took my two-year old daughter for the boat ride, but a couple of days ago when I went there, I did not see the boats sailing, probably because of the renovations that are going on.
How long is this park stretched? Along the street, so the park is just along the river.
One more, the restrooms are generously available, and the good things are that they are free and well-maintained.
One interesting thing, hunt for the sign that writes “Dilarang Pacaran” or No Flirting, especially dedicated to restricting young couples from being too openly romantic in public.

One of my fave parks in Surabaya. Large, good view, any playground for children, and some other facilities, make me feel comfort to be here. I could hunt photos here, like flower, city view, tiny animals and maybe human activities.
Because of this is a park, I see that too seldom of spot to sit here. But so far my daughter always enjoy her time here. We can also make mini meet up here or just for spending time in the evening. Any facility like toilet and musholla here, so I no need to be worry.

One among greatest options to enjoy the time with family or friends in the heart of Surabaya. Water recreation just right behind the governor of East Java office, sightseeing by boat and it's nicer at night as the lamps make the boat looks more fabolous. No entrance tickets for the park just when you wanna take the boat, and it's only 4k per person. Proud of you, Bu Risma! 🌟

It's huge and so many playgrounds, you can spend all time you have with your kids and family or friends too, cozy place with fresh air here.

There's a boat will drive you sight seeing the city from the small river. The citypark located in a riverside. Plus there's some food stands near the city park. My favourite drink is soymilk there.

A place where you can do some outdoor sports, jogging, cycling for free. Well structured, clean, and of course environmentally friendly. Better go with your friends/colleagues to this place. Public restrooms and handwash facility are available. Close to river boat trip, a must try in Surabaya. I love this place so much and recommended.

This place is a complete park, there's a place for boat training, kids playground and great monumen of indonesian bomber plane

If you love kayaking, you might wanna visit this place. It's very cool place for kayaking especially during the night. The beauty of Monkasel will hypnotize you with its glimpse lights. If you 're hungry after that you might stop by to enjoy the local cuisine in the canteen there.

Children love it. A cozy playground that everyone from children to adult could enjoy. You may find slides, swings, and many more. There's also restroom, and the most interesting is boat riding.
