Enjoyed a romantic dinner on the beach at this stunning resort. The staff made us feel right at home—so welcoming and friendly. It’s clear that a lot of love has been poured into designing this place, especially learning that the owner, an architect, was behind its beautiful design. A truly special spot that we’ll definitely revisit.

My experience at Soori Bali was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in tranquility and luxury. The staff's warm welcome and personalized attention made me feel right at home. The villa provided a private sanctuary with breathtaking views of the ocean and lush surroundings, perfect for unwinding and soaking in Bali's natural beauty. The infinity pool overlooking the beach was a highlight, offering a serene setting for relaxation. Dining alone was a pleasure, with delectable cuisine and attentive service ensuring every meal was a delight. Soori Bali exceeded my expectations in every way, offering a peaceful retreat where I could truly recharge and rejuvenate.

I can actually sum up our stay at this hotel in one word: Fantastic. My husband and I spent 14 days over Christmas and New Year at Soori Bali, and we were completely stoked. Our souls are still there.
The negative review from a guest who apparently stayed at the hotel at the same time puzzles us. But well, expectations vary.
For those who appreciate seclusion, value privacy, and are design enthusiasts, this is the right place. A very well-planned hotel, also regarding the size, with excellent service. Every wish was anticipated, so we had truly many unforgettable moments during our stay. Our villa was spatially well-designed, bright, with cohesive interior and very well-maintained, offering a breathtaking view of the sea and beach. The hotel is in great condition, with fast and reliable WiFi connection (as an experienced frequent traveler, I know what I'm talking about). The team was incredibly friendly and professional.
It is one of the few hotel concepts where, from our perspective, the overall package was a perfect 100%. Thank you to GM Astrid Killian and her team. We loved it! We found the relaxation we needed and will be back soon.

We stayed at Soori Bali for 10 days and had a wonderful and unforgettable stay in one of the Ocean Pool Villas. We were very impressed by the location, the view of the sea, the nature as well as the architecture and especially the people. The villas are very spacious and offer a private atmosphere so that you feel at home. The hotel offers everything you could expect from a 5 star LHW hotel and focuses on sustainability. Particularly noteworthy is the great service and the sincere friendliness of the staff. We were very impressed by the excellent food, lovingly prepared by Matthias Stuber and his team. We can also recommend the SPA. It was really difficult for us to say goodbye, but we will definitely come back.

Nestled along the breathtaking volcanic black sand beaches, my time at Soori Bali felt like entering a serene sanctuary where architectural elegance seamlessly melds with the beauty of nature. Whether I was basking in the peaceful ambiance of the helicopter pad or savoring the farm-fresh delights at the resort's restaurants, each moment felt like a celebration of harmony with nature. Moreover, the incredible service and warm hospitality of the staff enhanced my stay, as they were always there with a friendly smile and ready to assist with anything I needed.

Our recent stay at Soori Bali was pure indulgence. The Ocean Pool Villa offered stunning ocean views, a private infinity pool and a private pavilion. Nestled on a captivating black sand beach, the atmosphere was truly unique.

Culinary delights and a mesmerizing traditional dancing show during one of the dinners we had enhanced our experience. Soori Bali is the epitome of luxury, perfect for those seeking sophistication and relaxation.

Soori Bali knows how to create the perfect luxurious vacation and is a destination itself!! From the facilities, villa, interior design, service to food, everything was perfection. I'd highly recommend to watch a sunset at the black sand beach (the resort is beachfront) it may end up being one of the most beautiful sunsets you''ll ever see! Plus they also offer many activities for you to experience during your stay, from balinese cultural activity to nature walks at sunrise. You'll never be board here. Food and service were 10/10 everyone was so passionate about this region and so welcoming. Please try their balinese cuisine and thank me later : )

Great place we enjoyed our honeymoon there,Astrid and the whole stuff are just more than great, clean calm and peaceful environment. Food is awesome there and the sunset gulf is a whole new experience.

We just came back from a 10 days stay at Soori Bali and were not disappointed. Designed by an architect, who is also the owner, the buildings blend easily into the surroundings and try not to compete with it. The beach made of fine volcanic black sand is stunning (but very hot) and gives for a very special experience and some unique photographs.

Astrid and her team are trying the best to make you feel comfortable right from the start. Being greeted by your name is something that makes you feel very welcome. The service in general is fast and efficient.

Food is one of the major highlights and really exquisit. I was skeptical of the breakfast concept but learned to appreciate it. Even for a 10 days stay the menus were sufficiently varied not to get bored and we could even order a special balinesian dish and the chef was more than happy to comply with our requests.

This is the right place if you want to relax and escape from the hustle of daily life. Don't expect to have things close, maybe apart from rice fields. We wanted to relax and recharge and Soori was just what we needed.

I read some other more negative comments and even if some reviews are harsh, there is always some room for improvement. It's true that the rooms could have an uplift of maintenance above all seeing the price. At least the reaction of staff is always super fast and problems are solved immediately.

When it comes to staff I noticed some differences in terms of experience and level of training but I guess that is also normal, but it's true that luxury is all about details and consistency and luxury clients are expecting only the best.

One comment mentioned that the management does not understand the local culture. I would clearly disagree with that. In our experience Soori Bali is a place of encounter between local and international and in a right balance. Too much Bali would not be good and too international neither. I my view it's just right.

Some things you need to know when going to Soori Bali:

1. It's far away from everything. 90'-120' from the airport and calculate the same if you want to do some sightseeing, but then again you get compensated by a great and very quiet location.

2. The sea is not accessible. This is not just the case for Soori Bali but don't expect to jump into the water, you'll be confined to the big central pool or your own villa pool.

3. You'll make your own experience. Don't expect things just to happen, you can ask them and the team will do it's best to make it happen.

Set just behind rice paddy fields, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the traditional villages is a delightful treasure. I did not expect such a beautiful, perfectly designed hotel. Soori is exceptional! From beginning to the end, everything was perfect. Our villa, was so clean. The service is second to none. There is a different tapas style breakfast every morning. Fresh juices brought to your table. The food is just delicious!! Worth every penny!

Such a wonderful and unique place. The landscape and architecture are incredible as well as the spirit of the hotel. The atmosphere is extremely serene thanks to the location between rice paddies and the Indian Ocean with a stunning private beach. Our Pool Villa was gorgeous, overlooking the rice fields, haven!

Soori was the one of the absolute best resorts I’ve had the pleasure of visiting! The customer service and attention to detail was incredible, everyone knew us by name and were extremely cautious about our dietary restrictions. The one bedroom villa with a private pool was gorgeous, very clean and the complimentary mini bar and turn down snacks were a fantastic touch to take our stay to the next level. 110% would return and recommend to anyone who would like a relaxing vacation in luxury.

After few visits in Soori Bali, I came back again this year for another incredible escape on the island!

My rooms have always been spotless and the villa host is kind and helpful—I've especially enjoyed our conversations while being driven in the buggy to my villa. My villa faces the beach and the views are breath-taking… Every time I visit, I honestly feel as if I've awoken up to paradise. Sometimes, it’s unavoidable that I’ve to take work along with me on my holidays but to face such a view while being on zoom calls… I guess it’s all good. 😂

An important thing to note: Due to my rather troublesome dietary needs, I admit that I'm not the easiest guest to prepare meals for, but the chefs seem to have managed it with ease (especially when I had forgotten to inform them of some new restrictions, yikes!) and I'm so appreciative of that!

Amazing place to chill and relax your soul. It’s far from everything and the place is really quiet. The black sand beach, the beautiful villa, the tasty soto ayam here are the things that we will definitely missed!

We stayed at Soori Bali for 3 nights and we only have great things to say about this incredible place. The Villa we stayed in was incredibly beautiful and had everything you may need to have the perfect vacations. We had the opportunity to enjoy some of the activities the hotel has to offer where they show you the real Balinese culture: we learn how to do canang (the balinese offering), we went on walks on the rice fields where we saw the local people on their daily life and we were even able to talk and spend time with them.
The resort is very isolated so you can escape the craziness of Bali and just enjoy the local and peaceful life of a local village.
To top it all off, it is facing sunset so it is perfect to spend a great afternoon enjoying the pool.
All the staff were incredibly thoughtful and nice, we couldn't ask for a better treatment. It was by far the best hotel experience we had ever!

WOW! This is without doubt the most breathtaking place I’ve EVER stayed at. Every little detail is perfect! The staff is so kind and welcoming, they always make sure that you have everything you need no matter what. The villas are beautiful and so clean and the bed is the best ever! The view is just one of a kind and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing! I really recommend this place, I will be back FOR SURE!

I was down to my last 2 weeks in Bali, after hopping around the island for 6 months. My husband, Chris, had sent me a series of reels on Instagram as references to places that he would like for us to experience, Soori was on top of the list. As I was scrolling through reviews of the hotel, it reaffirmed my decision to save one of Bali’s finest for last.

My goodness, even that scenic drive alone to the hotel was well worth the flight to Bali. What a stunning property. It’s like we were transported to old, untouched Bali. Perhaps my favorite place in South East Asia. The service was perfection, the food was amazing. Don’t miss out on the local cuisine here! Hands down, 10 stars! I could write a poem about our stay here. It truly was remarkable.

Soori Bali is notorious on social for being the vacation destination for the Kardashians and Biebers but I can reassure you that it's far more than just a celebrity's pretty photo.

Located off the beaten track and immersed on the skirts of a farming village, Soori embraces and thoughtfully weaves culture, community and storytelling into every corner of the customer experience and design. I came here to witness the art of a brilliant architect and walked away amazed by how the design was only half the story!

As a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer who's seen the unfortunate side and impact of tourism on a small village, it was refreshing to see their enthusiasm to proudly place their community at the forefront of everything they do.

It was a totally immersive experience that I'll never forget: biking with a storyteller, private rice terrace Balinese lunch, cliffside yoga, local dance performance, and unplanned but delightful run-ins with artists and performers.

If you're considering a stay here - GO!

Undoubtedly, this is one of the most beautiful and grandest villas if not the most, that I have ever been to throughout my career as a travel blogger! What fascinated me was not only the marvellous quality of the resort and how relaxing my stay was, but also how polite and welcoming their staffs were. We were treated like kings and queens even though we were there for a collaboration project. We had the time of our lives during our stay.

We were located in a 4-bedroom private villa, and the master bedroom was ridiculously spacious! It had a massive bathroom with a walk-in wardrobe, and their minibars were well-equipped and all-inclusive!

Another thing that impressed us was their genuine love and care towards the local and environment. They eliminated all use of plastic straws and bottles throughout the resort. You also get to witness the beautiful Little Dancers practising traditional Balinese dance or be part of their noble program of turtle release. It was quite a magical and memorable experience.

Soori Bali also tackles both Indonesian and Western food very well! Their gourmet breakfast was so delicious with a variety of options.

I highly recommend Soori Bali not only for honeymooners but also for families or group of friends who are after experiencing Bali as it should be.
