Ketut Madra Homestay

Fantastic! We arrived late and the host was super gentle and understanding with us! The place is beautiful! The garden is perfect and clean :) they clean our room everyday and the breakfast is so yummy! Also I discovered is one of the first Homestay in Ubud,by the Balinese famous artist Ketut Madra (same name) and today his son show us his beautiful painting in his gallery by the house!🙏🏽thank you so much for such of good vibrations!

Perfect place! The family that runs the place are the most lovely people we have ever met. They are super helpful. The final day we had to leave early, and the host woke up earlier to make us breakfast. Definetly recommend staying here.

In the center of Ubud but very quiet. I was exhausted when I arrived but Komang and Made have been incredibly nice and patient with me and my kid. Komang cleaned the room everyday, the breakfast was delicious, the garden beautiful for a very good price

The room was so much bigger than I expected! Great shower and location, I was able to walk to the monkey rainforest and yogabarn no problem while also far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the street to be tranquil and peaceful. There’s a stream that runs in front of the rooms/buildings and you can admire the wildlife and flowers from a little terrace out front of your room. The price for value is unbeatable and the host great. Everyone is friendly and there are books leftover from other guests to read during rainy days. The entrance is a little hard to find the first time but anyone in the neighbourhood is happy to help you out.

We wish we stayed here for our whole time in Ubud! The rooms are very large, clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this spot.

This is a very nice place to stay. One of the cheapest options that I could find in Ubud. Rooms with private bathroom (with a hot shower), fan, free breakfast, terrace, garden. Very quite and relaxing. The owners are very nice. Small minuses: no common area with tea or coffee (you have to ask for a kettle to boil some water), internet is not very good, the dog barks on everything that moves.

Hosts are fantastic and super friendly! I originally booked for 5 nights, stayed for 7 and then came back for another 5. Hosts are so welcoming and make it feel like home for me. I would absolutely recommend and will definetly be coming back here if I am to return to Ubud.

Stayed there 2 nights. A nice relaxed atmosphere in this accommodation, surrounded by trees. The garden is amazing and the private terrace 👌The hosts are kind and very welcoming. Thank you!

I have been staying at Ketut Madra Homestay when I visit Bali since 1987!
The place is lovely and quiet, and I am not seeing it on this thread of reviews, so I will mention it here,... This homestay, and it's owner Pak Ketut Madra, were at the Center of artisitic and cultural dialogue for decades. Art and music students would stay for months at Madra Homestay. There is a rich history here.
Ketut Madra is a renowned painter as well as an excellent Topeng (mask) dancer and musician. When you visit, please look at his gallery, and if you have a chance, see the performance groups that he is part of in Peliatan. These groups have an old school prioritization of skill and presence.
Ketut's son Made lives nearby with his family. As well as being able to help you with any practicalities about your stay, Made has a wealth of knowledge about Balinese culuture, history, and arts. I believe he even has a degree on this topic(!).
This is an affordabe accommodation in Peliatian, near to Ubud, and it is much more than that as well. Go see some performance art, browse the gallery, and enjoy your time there!

The place is really quiet and beautiful!The whole family is always polite and ready to assist you. Also the garden is amazing and the room is OK. Totally value for money!!

Esperienza meravigliosa in questo piccolo angolo di paradiso in mezzo al caos di Ubud. Proprietari estremamente gentili e di possibili, ci hanno dato tantissimi consigli utili su noleggio motorini, taxi, warung etc. le casette sono essenziali, per il prezzo pagato, molto pulite e circondate da un piccolo giardino che crea un atmosfera davvero speciale. Colazione veramente buona. Posizione a 2km dal centro, consente di vedere un lato di Ubud meno internazionalizzato e fuori dal centro. Comodo se si ha un motorino Consigliatissimo!

Но (!) расположен среди прекрасного зелёного сада, вот сад прям чистый, ухоженный, весь в цветах.
А ещё здесь отличные завтраки, особенно были вкусны блинчики).
Приятная улыбчивая хозяйка добавляет позитива

Très belle homestay, jardin magnifique autour duquel sont disposées les maisonnettes.
Les propriétaires sont très agréables, petit-déjeuner délicieux composé de fruits frais et un plat (pancake, œufs brouillés...). Possibilité de louer un scooter pour sortir d’Ubud.
L’eau chaude est quasi inexistante par contre.

Отличный, недорогой отель. Добродушные хозяева, уютный номер. Горячий душ, вайфай. Красивый садик с небольшим прудом. Традиционный завтрак. Мне понравилось. Выспался и дальше поехал. Спасибо!

Harga murah. Pemilik ramah. Kamar lumayan luas. Ada taman luas dihalaman dan kolam ikan. Mayoritas yg menginap disini adalah turis asing
