Such a gem! It was a highlight for our 9 days trip on Bali. Everybody in the group of 17 people said that it was the most authentic, beautiful and quiet place on this busy island.
The traditional bungalows are lovely and cosy, they are in the middle of rice fields and you get an incredible view.
The grounds are beautiful, they have two very nice swimming pools, you can find variety of local teas and coffee in bungalows - that was very nice.
Good food in the restaurant with nice variety and fabulous breakfast. Nice spa with good and inexpensive treatment.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
It is a perfect getaway for a couple of days - if you want to get away from noisy and touristy places on Bali.
I am definitely coming back and recommend it to anyone.

Amazing service and the most relaxing, unplugged atmosphere. Excellent food and spa treatments too. We spent 2 nights there but it felt longer since the pace is so relaxed and enjoyable

Wonderful hotel and very friendly staff. Bungalows are beautiful and super clean. The pool area is just perfect and more than relaxed. I would highly recommend this place! Make sure to check out their trips and spa (we did the local adventure buggy tour and it was so much fun!) and if you can rent a scooter to explore munduk the local way :)

Beautiful, tranquil place and excellent service! Took the recommended trekking tour through the local villages and to the waterfall with Ariana, who is a local, very friendly and knowledgeable about his village. Super helpful too! Access to the accommodation is a bit difficult especially if you use Google Map - so make sure you ask the accommodation for a recommended route.

An oasis in the middle of the rice fields in one of the most beautiful areas of Bali, off the beaten tracks. The slightly longer journey is definitely worth it. Sustainability means a lot to the owner and management and you can feel that everywhere. Definitely a 5 star recommendation, we'll be back!!

This was one of the best hotel experiences we had on the island. A beautifully designed (many art pieces inside and outside) large retreat of only 11 quality villas with infinity pool, spa, and absolutely breathtaking views over rice fields and mountain ranges. The staff was very helpful and friendly. You can enjoy your meals either in a beautifully set restaurant overlooking the infinity pool, the rice fields and mountain ranges or you take it on your private villa terrace watching your kids swim in your villa pool (we had the 3 bedroom villa, highly recommended).

Simply amazing !! Tranquility in a beautiful resort with stylish villas in large natural garden setting surrounded by breathtaking views over rice fields, mountain ranges and forests. Lots of attention to interior and exterior design with plenty of art decor everywhere. Lovely well designed and maintained garden settings. Lots of space between the buildings. Children can play outside or inside without disturbing tranquility of other guests, a nice play area above the restaurant and plenty of space in the vast gardens. Countless spots for beautiful pictures. Friendly professional staff. Good food selection. Many excursion spots with hikes, waterfalls around. A place hard to leave. Relax pure.

This place is absolutely stunning. It was without a doubt the most beautiful place we stayed in Bali. The staff are incredibly friendly and happy to help with anything you need.

The views are nothing short of spectacular and you can sit at the restaurant watching the sunset with some delicious cocktails.

The swimming pool is great, with lots of sun beds and towels places around. It's in the middle of the retreat and easy to access.

Our villa was perfect, cleaned to perfection and a pleasure to sleep in. I couldn't recommend this place more.

The quality of the rooms, spa, restaurant is great. It’s a hidden gem in the middle of Bali. The place is quiet and surrounded by rice fields. All you can hear during the day is the wind and the birds being chased from eating the rice nearby. The staff are very kind and they adapted all food to my gluten and lactose intolerances, which is very rare. Even the guide they connected us with was genuine and led us into some great, non-touristy places. We will surely go back next time we are looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat.

Really nice and beautiful hotel in the middle of rice fields! It is a quite place but when we visited was fully booked, so the quietness can be spoiled by more noisy guests. Something that hotel cannot control.
Nice one bedroom bungalow with lots of space, with a really beautiful decoration!
Food and drinks were amazing and staff very friendly and helpful!
Laundry service also good.
We also try the spa, body scrub, facial massage and Balinese massage, totally recommended!!!!

Absolutely in love with this place! I recommend to anyone visiting Bali.

I love the authentic spirit and the charm of this place! I don’t want to leave! Not only is the place beautiful with very nice people but it is also a place that is highly engaged in environmental and social projects. For example, 90% of the amazing food is sourced locally and another 7% comes from other part of the island. It is also a plastic-free place. If you go there, try to spend some time in the cabin with bamboo ladder to relax and contemplate the beautiful nature around. This is heaven!

What a great place! Nestled into some rice paddies just outside of Munduk, this retreat is truly relaxing. It's been built with the locals in mind and apparently will be gifted to the local village once the philanthropist who built it has broken even on the investment. They've got only 11 bungalows which are made up of mostly one and two bedroom with only 1 three bedroom bungalow. The pool has a great view down the the rice paddies and the restaurant above it serves delicious food made from local ingredients. The staff however make this place, particularly Mr Gusti. He was a great help during our stay and always genuinely happy, the man's smile is huge and infectious!

The hotel provides an infinity pool where you can watch bali‘s beautiful sunsets on the mountains from.
From the cute little pavilions you can hear and feel nature all around, allowing you to feel even more connected to this unique environment.
The spa also doesn’t miss: I got a balinese back, shoulder and neck massage, which was sooo stress-relieving and soothing.
The Sanak Retreat staff showed once again how kind and caring Indonesian people are.
You can really feel at home here.

I am so lucky to have stayed here, this place is amazing. Set in a relaxed and peaceful location, the views are just stunning, local guides are willing to help explore, the menu in the restaurant is excellent. and the rooms are exceptional and the staff are superb, Highly recommended.

Super relaxing and peaceful in the mountains and rice paddies but also offers many great opportunities for adventure such as jungle walks, kayak trips and cookery courses. The food was excellent but not a huge variety in the restaurant so may get a bit 'samey' if you stayed for a while.

Great hidden gem in the north of Bali! Excellent room in the middle of the rice fields. Great pool. Nice food. Take the walk with guide to the waterfalls: a nice walk to hidden waterfalls without tourists! Highly recommended place!

Amazing small cluster of villas in an exceptionally peaceful environment. Surrounded by rice fields, lush vegetation, coffee and cacao plantations. Perfect to relax and explore the local area. Breakfast was generous and tasty, service excellent, and the views unparalleled. Ask for Berly, local trekking guide to show you around. Favorite place in Bali so far!

Amazing little gem in a rice field setting north of Bedugal. Fabulous modern style wooden chalets, refreshing pool and tasty food served in the restaurant. Prices higher than other properties in the area but it is excellent value for money if you want 5 star service and accommodation in North Bali
