Sopo Ngiro Japanese Food

One of my fav japanese street food in jakarta. The food is really worth the price, but you have to come early because the queue is 😪
I ordered beef yakiniku, chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu
You can come here with public transportation like MRT and stop at Blok A station, and walk about 450meters
You can payment with QRIS here

I tried their yakimeshi (25k), and the chicken katsu (35k).

The yakimeshi was really good. You can taste a margarine in the rice, and it's really fragrant.

The chicken katsu is a must try. Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. And as you look on the pic, the portion was very generous compare with the price. I think the chicken katsu was a lot better than other japanese restaurant in mall.

Overall, really worth to try. But you have to be patience on the queue. And in case it's raining, prepare for the leaked on the tent.

so far this the best japanese street food that i’ve found in Jakarta. being named Sopo Ngiro, i guess this is the place where javanese culture can blend very well with japanese food. 😆

although now it’s located right in the MRT Construction area, but you don’t have to worry about the hygiene as they cover up the place with tents.

Sopo Ngiro (who knew - translated to english from javanese), is the best 'localized japanese' food stall on Jakarta, from my view. It's my kind of comfort food; tasty and cheap!

Their must-try menu is the nasi goreng, beef/chicken yakiniku and of course shrimp tempura. The tempura's dipping sauce is perfect 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

One more thing, their home made mayonnaise is a treat!

even though it’s still crowded at almost midnight, the place is good enough for a street food. the fried rice is decent but not disappointing, but the chicken IS THAT GOOD. they cook in batches, so be patient for your food to come.

been dining here at least once a month I guess? 😅 though I always came 10 minutes late and the queue hmm I dont know let's say we should wait for about 15 tables ahead of us, the food served would pay our times off. yes you have to wait at least an hour until it's your turn. my partner and I actually enjoy waiting until we get our table ready.

as for the owner, since you guys read our google review and feedback, please do the necessary cooking steps beforehand, you can fillet the chicken and prawn back at your warehouse and anything else you can get ready before opening. it will save your time preparing and cut half an hour of our time lining up will be highly appreciated

i guess, you'll have good food, here. make sure you have strong stomach, enough snacks, because you'll have to wait in a looong line before enjoying the food here.

The food is really tasty and affordable. Btw the line was long and theres not enough table for customers. Hence many customers order takeaway and eat in their car.

I really recommend the chicken wafuyaki (chicken teriyaki PLUS stir fried bean sprouts).

Long queque, up to 2.5 hours. It is recommended that you should come right when the stall just open, put your order, then leave for about 1.5 hours.

Chicken katsu is cheap, large, crispy, perfect balance between meat and dredgings, and the sauce is great. Very recommended.

Best taste for the food, regarding it only by the street side place to eat. Value for money. Need patiency to eat here, but it's worth your time for the food you will eat.
