Shady Shack

Absolutely love this place!!! If in Bali would be a Michelin stars it will have one for sure. Every year we visit Bali, we come to Shady shack and the quality of food is same - outstanding! Respect for the owner and staff, you are amazing! It would be great if you open a new cafe in Uluwatu. We want to have holiday in Uluwatu, but every time come to Canggu because of you :)))

Everything about this place reflects what I'm looking for in Bali! The staff was very friendly, they all have such lovely smiles and such positive energy. The food was absolutely wonderful as well! I think
I'm going to be their newest regular 😁
As for the atmosphere... well, it was fabulous. The place is gorgeous and comfortable, and the playlist playing was perfect!
I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice lunch or breakfast! I look forward to trying out their dinners!

Visually : The Greenery ! great for those plant lovers ! Gorgeous views and amazing food ! I’m out of words ! I got the protein bowl visually at first I thought I might not enjoy it! But boy I was wrong! Extremely tasty and well put together! 10/10 ! Great music , shady place with fans .nice and helpful staff! Very happy! I wish I would have taken a pic of the bowl before ! 😉😅😋

Unlike the name, it wasnt shady at all!
The food was good tho a bit pricy.
The burrito portion was quite big.
Feels so healthy.
The ambience is like youre sitting in your grandmothers house looking over paddy field.
The pecan piece was just okay.
Burrito was delicious.

Nice vegan/vegetarian restaurant.

I usually order from Shady Shack via Grab and the food is always great! They also follow every change/instruction.
Dining in is also nice and quiet, if you are okay with more sitting outside than inside.
Def. recommend to order the Nori Bowl (changed tofu to Tempe here). Everything is so fresh. You also find plenty of smoothie options and sweeeeeets!

Nice breezy garden, super cozy.
Food was great! Tasty and fresh.
Had the fresh rolls, lentil soup and vegan caramel and chocolate pie and loved all of the dishes.
Will definitely come back to try more items.

This very green restaurant has a beautiful low key vibe and a few vegan options. They also have a good amount of vegan desserts

The composition, choice of vegetables of the dishes is creative, but they seem to slightly miss the mark for me looking through the photos. For instance the cauliflower steak could have had roasted and crispier kale instead of boiled. The caramelized onions were always welcome. Very close to being great, hope they make some modifications in the future

Found some plastic in the food (likely from a salad container), the staff were apologetic, and offered a free vegan cake slice which I really appreciate, because these kinds of things are bound to happen, but not all places are willing to do more than just a verbal sorry 😊

Please include this in the list if you looking for healthy food at Canggu. I had the nicest breakfast here after staying almost 4 days trying out variety of food, this cafe is by far the best with the fresh ingredients and best taste.

One of our favorite vegan spots in Canggu! This place has such a cool vibe! The nachos are a must as is the vegan burger!! All of the pastries are great!!! Cool how they make the food so health yet tastes so good!! Such friendly staff too!!!

Had an pineapple 🍍 drink 🍹 some really good potato 🥔 with rosemary fried - and cauliflower cheese fried round things - and gluten free bread - sauce to the potatoes was nice 😋 no symptoms- gf - save for celiac - with picture

One of my all time favorite, coming here since 2020 and was never disappointed. I tried many dishes but my favorite is the big breakfast. Coffee is good as well as the vegan burrito, the nori bowl, the burgers or the vegan lasagna.

Amazing place to have lunch in Bali!!! I informed staff that I have to eat gluten free and they were really considerate of my dietary requirements. Food was delicious!

10/10 experience. We’ve heard so many good things about Shady Shack and the experience and food exceeded our expectations. The food was great and the ambiente was very relaxing, the service was also great. Defiantly our new spot!

Stayed 10 days in Canggu. It can get a bit crazy. The Shady Shack ended up being my fav spot. Just a hop and a skip from the main drag and beach, situated opposite a paddy field.
The ambience is lovely and relaxed. The food though is next level awesome. Nothing traditional unfortunately, but so fresh, with thoughtful and creative gastronomic combinations that delight the palate.
Nothing on the menu would offend. But I loved the Jamu Jamu juice, the egg omelette bases, and the condiments. I would like to see some sambal options on the menu (there are a couple). In general, I find the food in Indo a little unspicy.
However, the coffee is great, the juices spectacular and it all goes together with beautiful service. Thanks slim Shady (not so slim now!) xxx

One of my favourite places in Canggu. I just love how fresh the food is. Not every dish is full of flavour but most of them are delicious. I love the lentil soup with sourdough for lunch. Also I got a probiotic shot every time because I was getting over sickness and loved the taste! Felt soothing.
Oh and the staff are all so lovely too!!

Absolutely love this place! Went during dinner and it was not crowded, there were fans to keep bugs away/keep you cool.
Food was amazing! Got a fresh cold coconut (it was huge, I recommend getting it here than at a beach or off the street), bbq tempeh burger (w/ side of fries), & edamame. The burger was delicious and the sauce was the perfect addition. Portion size of edamame was perfect and dipping sauce side of wasabi mayo was good.

Definitely one of my favourite spots in Canggu. The food is heavenly delicious and very healthy. They have a lot of vegan and glutenfree options. The restaurant has a very chilled and open atmosphere. Service is friendly and always smiling.

Probably one of my favourite cafes in canggu! The staff are absolutely excellent and the food service is quick despite it being a busy place. The options are amazing especially as someone who is gluten free and vegan. And the food is absolutely incredible especially the falafels!!!!

The best vegan lasagna in all Bali. Love this place. So many vegan and vegetarian healthy options. Free flow water too
