A very homey hair studio. Prameswari is a really good hairstylist. She cut my hair based on my hair character, and give some easy styling tip for me to apply everyday. I am one happy customer 😁

My first time visiting Moonstone – been knowing them for quite some time but it’s hard to find the matching schedule and luckily I got a spot on these last few days of 2022. The salon is really based on appointments only – please take note.

I picked the express Olaplex treatment because I feel like my hair seems so tired with heat treatments and Jakarta’s greatest pollution of all time. Also, my scalp was dry and flaking so Kak Prameswari offered me the scalp detox treatment which seemed to be the right option for me.

For such an experience, the price is affordable at least for me for having the space for a personal hair consultation before the treatments, supplied coffee and tea, massaged hair wash, greatest styling, and blowout. Kak Prameswari also did the treatments very persevering in doing each hair strand with a gentle touch which I love! She also didn’t mind to chit chat with the customers, and loving her energy plus she wore this beautiful Kebaya and traditional cloth with the prettiest accessories, loving her style so much!

Although it’s far away from my house, I’m considering revisiting for another treatment, maybe a haircut when it’s time? Oh! Interestingly, they have this book swap spot when I looked around each corner while doing a bit of waiting on the sofa.

I went for a much-needed haircut and color refresh. I already have 7-months of regrowth and you can really see from my before photos, my hair color is already all over the place.

What I love about Moonstone, the owner (who is also the stylist) is definitely knows what to do and not only listens to your hair color wish, she also advises you what suits the best for your hair condition.

She is going to make a "special blend" for your hair based on your hair. And as for me, I asked for my hair color to be an ash-tone color.

And voila! She made it! Thank you so muchhhh I will definitely enjoy my new hair :))

I have come here twice and I must say they offer the best service for haircut & color with such affordable price (and this already includes wash, blow dry & styling).

During my first time coming here for a haircut, Prameswari, the senior stylist, first looks at my hair condition first. I was so satisfied with the result of my layered haircut type and decided to come here again for my first hair-coloring experience!

I chose babylights for the style and she chose the right color which complements my skin (and makes it even more glowing!) and my wavy hair. Since the beginning, she is always very considerate while washing my hair and choosing the products to apply to my hair.

Moonstone’s appointment-based system is also very convenient because I can freely consult my hair condition, without needing to be shy with other people’s presence.

I had a satisfying experience here. Mba Iput (the owner and the hairdresser) is very kind. She treated me very well and listened to my hair concern carefully. I really like the result as it suits perfectly with my request. It’s rarely for me to love the haircut right after it gets done but Mba Iput’s is one of the exceptional. Will definitely come back here again ;)

Added for 2022: Iput moved to her new place in Kemang. The spot is bathed in natural light and it's gorgeous! I did my first color appointment with her because I'd trust no-one else with my hair after the magic she casted on me in June of 2021. What a lovely experience! I arrived unsure of what I wanted. She was able to help me narrow down my vague vision into something solid. I was anxious at the change of colour after bleach and she was super reassuring. Needless to say I'm SO PLEASED with the results. 10/10 recommended💕

Coming again to this place. Had a hair cut, new hair color & scalp treatment. The result is beautiful and I’m very satisfied & happy with it. Great service & really helpful are the most important things for me. Not only that, you can also have a consultation about your hair & hair care!

small hair studio owned by Prameswari. She was very warm and humble, we had good chats and 4 hours of hair works doesn't feel as long. If you love dogs, she can bring Kenzo around. Yay!

Colored my hair teal last week: bleaching balayage and vivid colors. It was VERY fun day. Iput was very welcoming and answer all my questions. She treated my hair with gentle care. Will definitely doing my touch up there and recommend this to everyone who would like a cut and color suited to their want and need.

Comfortable studio with a cute little drink corner. Beautiful result and my hair did not get dry or damaged at all after the coloring. 10/10 will be back again.

The owner and her team are very very nice! Before you got your hair treated they do a check up first to make sure on which treatment suits you best. I got the hair fall treatment when i visited and i love how their team handled me. They were very gentle but also firm during the treatment process (if you could imagine)! Also got my hair a bit styled after it got dried and honestly i think it made me look a bit like Eloise Bridgerton from Bridgerton netflix series 😝 so i was thrilled since she’s my fave! I always go for the normal layered haircut, but it’s very rare for me to find a hair stylist who can do this perfectly (considering my hair is thick, dry, and wavy). It’s not a difficult hairstyle, but a lot of people had failed spectacularly in translating my (literally) boring vision. But the hair stylist in Moonstone, Iput, has a keen eye for details and beauty, and Idk how she did it, she really knows how to transform my Jesus mane into a mermaid goddess look! Okay, I may be over exaggerating tho, but it is literally the right amount of layer, and right amount of bounciness, I’m just so happy with my hair right now. I would highly recommend Moonstone if you want an intuitive hair stylist who really understands what your hair needs and knows what kind of hairstyle that fits your look and personality.

Very recommended hair studio, feels so comfort and homey. The owner as the hairstylish, Iput is such a warm person. She knows exactly what to do to make your hair looks gorgeous and extra yet keep your hair away from damage. I dyed my hair here, and I ended up can't look away from the mirror. Too in love with it :)

Had a very very pleasant experience here! Iput was really really nice and absolutely patient with all my whims and indecision, even when I had a last minute change of heart to chop even shorter!

I really love the private studio setting, the discussion & talks, and she was kind enough to let me play with her lovely dog!

Haven't tried anything but a haircut and styling, but from what I heard, Iput is your go to girl for beautiful coloring treatment.

Unbeatable value, professional service, cozy and zen space, it's more than I need. It's difficult to find a hairdresser who understands my curls' special needs, and I have to say Iput has managed to met them well.

I'm giving 5 stars because of the personalized treatment (1 client only for each appointment) and the hairdresser's wonderful knowledge of hair + attitude that empowers people with different, natural hair types.

I initially came here to get my hair dyed purple, but I came home with a totally transformed look.

Long story short, I consulted the hairdresser about my hair problems, how it always look like a thick, somewhat straight but super frizzy, puffy, shapeless lion mane, and the fact that my hair only cooperates when I wash it, with beautiful waves that disappears almost immediately as soon as they dry. The hairdresser listened well without judgements, unlike many other hairdressers in Indonesia who hold strong judgements against people whose hair isn't straight and smooth. She didn't tell me that my hair was 'broken'. Nor did she tell me to straighten it or try to 'tame' it in any way. After she listened she asked me whether I was okay if she didn't brush my hair after washing, to see the natural shape of my hair. I've never done it or even thought about it before, usually I brush / comb it immediately because I was afraid of how it would look like when it dries. But I decided to trust the hairdresser. So we did just that, and we both found out that I had natural curls, which simply never 'popped out' because I've been treating my hair as if it was straight all along by brushing, combing, etc (pic attached). As soon as she told me to stop brushing my hair after washing, my curls began to show and became more defined. The day I am writing this is a month after my visit to this place, the improvements I saw on my curly hair is unbelievable. Less frizz, more definition, wonderful amount of volume. 💖

The hairdresser managed to figure out what I never did in over a decade due to misinformation and a lack of knowledge on how to handle natural hair. She managed to do what other hairdressers failed to. It was clear to me that she really embraced different hair types. The way she treated me as a client with 'unique' hair condition made me feel truly empowered.

I was really satisfied with the whole experience. 💖💖💖
