Pesona Guest House Jakarta

a very nice, personal and quiet place in a very busy Jakarta city.
It is a beautiful house and hosts Nana and Mel make everything possible for you from booking a trip into the jungle over arranging drivers or serving an excellent delicious dinner. The rooms are big and clean. The staff is very friendly as well. We had a lovely stay that we even came back already 2 times.

I stayed there for three weeks in January 2018. The hostess is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and the staff at Pesona is top notch and extremely helpful and polite. Everyone there is extremely friendly and willing to ensure that you feel at home in every way possible. Pesona is, by far, one of the most memorable and beautiful places that I have had the pleasure to stay at. They have a pool and treadmill and there is an outside patio upstairs that is beautiful. If you want to be able to visit all of the main day and night attractions in Jakarta, and then go back to your quiet room afterwards, then this is the place to do it.

Hands-down the best guest house experience we had in Indonesia. All staff we very courteous and friendly. We hand a wonderful host who's local knowledge was very beneficial in helping us plan our trip. The rooms were spacious and the whole premises was very clean. Had a very wonderful time staying here thanks to the hospitality of Ibu Nana and the rest of the household. Perfect for a big family, it really felt like staying over at a relative's luxurious home. Close to a lot of culinary fares in the southern Jakarta area.

An absolutely stunning guest house, with tasteful decor and quality furniture, the perfect blend of traditional and western. The guest house is in a beautiful, quiet location, but a lot of cool places are nearby. Pesona breakfast (Continental or American) can be provided at any time and simple Indonesian meals can be served in-house for lunch or dinner. They have various drinks available, including alcohol. If you have Grab or Go-Jek on your phone, you can order in food from local restaurants. You can do your own laundry, or the staff can do it for you. Ibu Nana is so warm and friendly, with genuine conversation and helpful local advice. Her niece Laras was also lovely and very helpful, giving much-needed assistance with setting up my new Indonesian phone. The other staff have limited English (better than our Bahasa Indonesia), but all were very sweet. On a lonely day, Nana took me to a very good women-only beauty salon, where we had body scrub, massage, hair and nails. Such great value for terrific service! The bed we had at Pesona was divine, like sleeping on a cloud. There are lots of delightful sitting areas, both indoor and outdoor, so you can choose company or privacy. All in all, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pesona Guest House. To Nana, Mel, Laras and staff, thank you for your wonderful hospitality. We feel like we've made lasting friends! In a word. Fabulous!!!! Mel and Nana’s house is beautiful and is actually much nicer than the pictures. The rooms are large and quiet and the internet is fast and reliable. The breakfast was amazing with a beautifully presented plate of fresh fruit, bread from the nearby French bakery, and your choice of eggs, pancakes, cereal, etc, or my favorite the best Nasi Goring in Jakarta and your choice of coffee, cappuccino, tea, juice, etc. And on almost no notice, they will prepare you a top restaurant quality dinner.

But as nice as the house and food are, Mel and Nana are the reason to choose the Pesona Guest House. They and their wonderful staff simply take care of you as if you were their best friend or closest relative. They were always available to provide assistance or great conversation, but at the same time, unobtrusive for those nights where all we wanted to do was have a quiet evening to ourselves. They have a wealth of information of places to go, best restaurants, etc, and seemingly can provide you with any needed services. In our case, we needed a driver because we were seeking to find old schools, etc. my wife attended growing up as an Ex Pat in Jakarta over 40 years ago. We would go over our itinerary each evening with Nana and she would provide the list and instructions to her driver the next morning. She even gave us a local cell phone so that we could call the driver (parking is not easy so he could not always park where he would drop us off) or to call her if we had any issues.

If the Pesona guest house was in my hometown, I would book a few nights each year simply to get to experience the incredible hospitality of Nana and Mel.

Pesona Guesthouse was a delightful surprise – it is gorgeously furnished and really comfortable. It is quite spacious - even though there are just 3 guest rooms, there are about 8 different seating areas: many couches, a porch swing, tables by the pool and on the roof, antique plush chaise longue. The mattresses are opulently comfortable, and everything is kept immaculate. It is also very quiet and there is plenty of privacy. The most special part though, is the family – they are welcoming and helpful, but also non-intrusive. We didn’t expect to join the family for dinner so often, but we loved the lively conversation, the food, and the sense of belonging that we felt. They also helped us arrange transport (at times even giving us a ride themselves), and were invaluable resources on navigating life in Jakarta. 5 stars doesn't even do Pesona Guesthouse justice. We will stay there again and again.

Though we stayed at Pesona for one night, it gave our first trip to Indonesia a memorable beginning. Right from the airport pick up to the impeccable guest house and a host who only knows how to give, this was unforgettable. Met some amazing people, had divine food and got a taste of Jakarta's unique night life with karaoke and Nana. It was blissful through and through. For anyone going to Jakarta, we recommend look for another place only if Pesona is full. An unexpected perfect oasis.

What must i say. Everything was marvelleous. The food,
the room and the house. In the house are so many interesting
details. The owner couple are very pleasant and nice to talk with.
We’ve been in 17 hotels, guesthouses and what ever in Indonesia. This is the most beautiful place we’ve been. Is there anything that was not good in Persona. No there wasn’t. Nana and Mel we hope you to see once again in this lifetime.

An opulent Jakarta Suburban home. Much attention to detail. Staff highly attentive. Host extremely accommodating. These are lovely people and this is a lovely place. Do be aware that it is about 45 minutes from the center of Jakarta. But then the center of Jakarta is not a place you really want to be unless you're here on business.

This is an absolutely gorgeous mansion with a very reasonable price which is about 40 USD. The owner is extremely warm and kind. The stuffs are very well trained. One point which I like the most is the terrace inside guest room which is rarely equipped even at five star hotels. You can indulged yourself there before going to sleep and that feeling is so peaceful and refreshable.

Jakarta's best place to stay with outstanding hostess and personell. Whether you are staying for weeks or just for a few days (as i was travelling alone on my way to Bandung and Yogyakarta) the best hostess Nana will help you out with everything. One of the best places I have ever stayed (and I have traveled a lot...). Beautiful house and big, clean rooms. Breakfast is excellent. But the best thing is the owner: incredibly friendly and helpful. You really feel at home there!

Ibu Nana is really a great host and teacher as I attended the cooking class at her place. She is very helpful in making sure I understand the recipe and ingredients and all the cooking is just absolutely delicious. 2 thumbs up!

The place to stay with the nuances of typical Indonesian housing. The facilities provided there are also quite numerous and good. There is a swimming pool too. Then many crafts in the inn room

A beautiful house in a charming neighborhood but the true value of this place are the people: We were blown away by the warm welcoming and the hospitality of Nana, Mel and their staff. And even with a very hectic morning (we overslept and almost missed our flight) - Nana was perfect to organize everything and even a coffee on top without losing her charming smile and friendly face !

Beautiful decor, lovely clean rooms, delicious breakfast, super comfortable atmosphere and the hosts are simply awesome.
Highly recommended, will definitely stay again.
