Tahu Telor Pak Jayen Pusat

How could I just visiting the restaurant, after several years in Surabaya. As tahu tek tek lovers, the restaurant is a must visit restaurant. Though a bit pricey compared to kaki lima version, its really recommend for you to try.

The terasi of peanut sauce was not overwhelming, it just okay. I myself always order double fried egg. 🤤.
The only thing that overwhelmed was the cracker or kerupuk they gave, too generous. Better you ask the kerupuk to be in separated plate.

The restaurant was bit small, but still adequate. They only provide mineral water and tea bottle as drink, so you could not order another drink. The service was fast, enjoy the tek-tek sound when they cut the tahu from its scissor.

Well, better to prepare cash since I was not sure you could pay by QRIS or by other electronic payment or not.

The location was in Darmahusada area, easy to access from Surabaya Pusat or Surabaya Timur. The parking lot was a little bit limited, so if you bring a car, maybe you will ended parking at the roadside.

If you look for tahu telor, not the fancy cafe or atmosphere, this is the right place.
They only have one menu, tahu telor, what you can adjust is the spicy level only.
The food is so simple, fried tofu and egg with peanut sauce, beansprout and cracker on the top.
Many people just do takeaways, but the place still crowded especially on the weekend.
Definitely my place to go for tahu telor.

The legendary Tahu Telor in Surabaya.. I guess because I've been a loyal fan of Tahu Telor Pak Jayen for decades. The texture and aroma of Tahu Telor Pak Jayen is just different from others, the authenticity is there. It's flavorful and delicious too. They are known to be generous with their kerupuk and thanks to the kerupuk, it adds extra flavor that makes it extra Yummy. Economically priced food and it's a must to try this Tahu Telor if you are a fan of Tofu, potato🥔 and eggs .

The finest tahu telur or tahu tek-tek (East Javanese tofu and egg fried with shrimp paste-peanut sauce) in Surabaya. The price is inexpensive, and the merchant cook the dish really quickly.

if you are tourists in Surabaya, you must have tahu tek (tofu with scrambled egg), for ylthe first time I recommend you to order no chili, because you may be get a stomach ache if you didn't familiar with the petis ( traditional sauce from shrimp)

Most of time the place always crowded, usually I ordered through Grab, but like most of the dishes which it always better when we eat it hot directly from the kitchen so once a while you should try eating in here,
when it come the plate fully cover with crackers so make difficult to eat, TIPS: when place the order to asked them to separate the crackers in different plate,
You should tell them how much chilies you want, TIPS: if you not like spicy then better to tell them to add only 1 or max 2 chilies,
In 1 portion contain fried eggs, tofu, potatoes, and rice cake, TIPS: to order "2 telor pakai tahu dan kentang, tidak pakai lontong"
The taste of the sauce was so rich and tasteful, I believe the key is they used a good quality of shrimp paste

Really scrumptious egg-tofu-potato-lontong dish. The portions is really suitable for hunger person

My go to place for tahu telor fix for quite a long time. Probably one of the best tahu telor in town. Ask for some cabe to give more kick to the gravy. They serve generous amount of keropok which are really crunchy. I mostly order for takeaway and packaging is good too

Never disappointed with their food. They sell only 1 menu with various combinations. It's called tahu telor (fried scrambled egg & tofu with peanut sauce). So if you like fried things with peanut sauce and kerupuk (chips), this place is a MUST TRY. You can choose your level of spiciness here. They served standard bottled beverages like Teh Botol (instant tea in bottle) and mineral water.

De tahu telor is endol takendol-kendol. Once you try this delicacy, its savory peanut sauce mixed with petis will be lingering in your mouth for a long long time. I know I may sound lebay but trust me it's worth trying.

The best Tahu Telor in Surabaya I've ever tried, what makes it the best because I of the authentic taste and also the spice of the food makes it taste so delicious. This Tahu Telor is available is several place in Surabaya including East Surabaya, West Surabaya, And South Surabaya. I've ever tried some in different location and their taste is consistent and still delicious though.

Definitely the best tahu telor or tahu tek, whatever everyone call it. The place is nearly always crowded, serve great food, the price are pretty affordable. But since it's just a street vendor that rent a car wash place that's closed at night, don't hope too much about the hygiene and cleanliness of the place. Remember it's just a steet vendor

I think the taste of peanut sauce is just different with taste of the street one.
The street one has a strong taste is Petis sauce mixed with peanut sauce, but here the taste of sauce is lighter.

The best place to know more about Surabaya's traditional fried egg-tofu served with fermented shrimp sauce. Free flow crackers! My best destination of having a culinary travel. Price so low!!!!!!!!

One of the best tahu tek in Surabaya. Relatively cheap price compared to it's taste. You can order with as many chillies as you like and they generous with the kerupuk for you. Open from about 5.30 PM to about 10 or 11 PM

My favorite tahu telor in Surabaya (even I always return home with a bad garlic smelled mouth and make me brush my teeth at least twice before sleep). Always crowded during dinner time. The place was not really clean, but that was the art of street food, isn't it? ^^
