Warung Kongde Mbak May

Warung Kong De is one of legend street culinary in Surabaya. I came here 2 times and always crowded eventhough the location is in small alley. I ordered nasi madura selulup and krengseng. The combination between all meats, noodle, serundeng, and mackarel gives you unique sensation. But their sambal is the main reason I give 5 stars. It is very spicy, sour, and refreshing in the same time. Their price is also very reasonable (25K). You have to try when you visit Surabaya.

Absolutely a hidden gem that you must try! The food tastes great and considerably cheap if you compare to other Madura rice stalls, such as the one near Atoom market. The owner is also kind and funny. It's a little bit hard to find because the location is not on the main street, but if you go by car you can reach it from Alun Alun Contong street and park your car there. The seats are limited so expect to wait for a while during lunch time.

It is located in a small alley in Surabaya city. They serve some choices of Maduranese cuisine with very spicy chili paste.

At the same price with the one in Pasar Atom, taste-wise Warung Kongde is the winner.

Wow... the nasi cumi... is excellent. But if you are not spicy food lover, just tell the seller not to put sambal there. Believe me, the sambal, although is good, but very spicy... could spoil your cumi (squid) taste... my husband and I really love this place

The Price I deem as medium up, but considering the Very delicious taste you get, Thats Worth it.

My Favorite are Nasi Madura, Nasi Cumi Hitam and Nasi Krengsengan.

Basically this stall providea varies of food. Start from beef meat, squid, shrimps, mackerel and beef intestine. All this kind of foods was cooked with traditional recipes. The flavor is awesome..
Each portion usually will cost from 25 untill 30 thousand.
Btw, if you like seafood, you can just say "Laut" for the food and they will five you a plate of rice with fried shrimp, spicy mackerel and squids and fried noodle.
Or you can say "Darat" and the will provide a plate of rice with fried beef meat and some beef intestine and fried noodle.

Many choices of food menu. The most interesting part of this place is the seller. It become a unique experience while we eat the delicious food. Although I'll give 4 stars for hygienic but this is a very interesting place you have to go.

Interesting place for culinary lovers

Their chili is the best but make sure u xan hold up to hot food .if u not dont asked for their chili , the food if like buffet but its street food vendor . I can only tell one think its dang delicious 😀

Good taste with fair price, you can even request the portion 15k, 20k or 25k rupiahs
