Tugu Pahlawan

A beautiful monument and statue, surrounded by Park, museum, and many interesting landmarks.

I came here early in the morning on my way to the airport before leaving Surabaya.

This is a great place to learn more about the history of Indonesia struggle against colonialism, as well as the history of Surabaya city. Beside the monument, it also has the statue of our proclamators, Soekarno Hatta, as well as Museum of 10 November, our Heroes Day, commemorating the Battle in Surabaya. There are many reliefs which depict some historical moments, complete with its stories and information.

The park is also spacious. Love to see the green field.

Parking spots are available.

There are ramps on the entrance and there are areas which can easily be visited by those using wheelchairs ♿.

The history of Surabaya's people struggle during Indonesia independence movement era.

It was easy to get there. Tugu Pahlawan was in one place together with the 10 November museum. The tariff to enter the museum is only IDR 5,000/ person. It reminded us of history. How the heroes protect Surabaya from England. It's attractive and open everyday.

"Tugu Pahlawan" A monument or Landmark with a long historical of both culture and exemplary for the people of Surabaya, East Java. Heroes who have fought for their nation who become the spirit of fighting.

"With a deep Heroic motto, namely "Only a Nation that appreciates the Services of its Heroes can become a Great Nation" - Ir. Soekarno (The Founding Father of Indonesia).

Actually, this is one of the most important landmarks in Indonesia.

The entry is cheap, its only take 5000 IDR (per Jan 2022)

Unfortunately this educational historical site is lack of curator and tour guide

So we have to learn the experience on our own.

This place has a lot of historical object regarding Battle of Surabaya - November 10th, 1945. Aside from historical objects, there are also statue of national heroes, museum, and library. This place also has musholla, decent number of restroom, and canteen just in case we need a drink or place to sit down to enjoy the view.

Nice place, full of history, comfortable, cool, clean, well-maintained. Good for children to know history. This is a place of recreation and education that is very very good. I will come again someday with my wife and children.

The most famous place in Surabaya, The monument we call Heroes Monument to remember the heroes who died on the war every November 10th. This place become tourist spot. I took the photo with drone during Aerial Photo Drone Competition.

A perfect place to learn about Indonesia. Tak kenal maka tak cinta. History made Indonesia unique culture and beautiful people. The short film inside the cinema help us (tourist) understand better.

The Hero Monument of Surabaya was to remember the struggle of Indonesia's heroes in the battle of 10th November 1945. We can also visit the Museum of 10th November and see many relics, diorama, history telling and many more. On the second and fourth week of the month, there is a play on the centre court, presenting the efforts of Arek-arek Suroboyo in order to keep the national independence. The play is very well presented and speaking of the truth, it makes you go back to the past.

Its a historic place and a good place to learn about the war in surabaya. When we go there the elevator is broken. We bring family member with special needs so we must take stairs. Bathroom is upstairs. Over all it was good experience

It such a nice museum, there is a short historical movie during world war, and how Indonesia git their freedom. There's an inheritance such as guns, and cloth during war.

Neat, pretty clean, cozy enough for the afternoon hangout while introducing the history of the Battle of Surabaya to your kiddos.
