I’d give it more stars if I could! We had such a wonderful morning with Gusti. We booked a batik class and he was such a patient and kind teacher, with the emphasis being on having fun and learning a new skill. Gusti is very passionate about art and sharing his knowledge and skills with other people. We booked via WhatsApp (number on their website) and went for the 9am class and there was just 3 of us, how lucky we were! Thank you so much for teaching us, we will treasure our master pieces!

Such a fun morning learning about Batik and getting to paint our own was a lot of fun! They turned out beautifully and a really fun experience and can’t recommend it enough.

This studio is magical. We did the batik class and our instructor Gusti was so so lovely. He also happens to take amazing videos and pictures!
The class itself was 10/10. We also ordered lunch there and it was the most delicious, home-cooked Balinese meal I’ve ever had. I will hold onto this experience forever, truly recommend it.

Amazing experience at Five Arts studio doing a batik class. The process was so relaxing and enjoyable. The team is so friendly. We talked about many things and shared our similarities and differences between Bali and South Africa. All in all, a worthwhile experience. Gojek did drop us off there but we struggled to book a taxi to go back. The art studio happily arranged a taxi for us to go back to central Ubud.

Amazing experience, 450,000IDR for the class and was super fun!! My painting looks amazing I was so happy with it and super surprised how cool it turned out, great for a wall hanging. I will come back next time for more art classes. Even got to try some random Indonesian fruit.

Great activity and opportunity to learn about Balinese art. We did the batik painting workshop and had a great time. Instructor was patient and funny, really pleased with what we produced and got to take home. Great for kids and adults alike, and the studio is located in a quieter area north of main Ubud if you’re looking for something away from the more touristy areas.

We had a wonderful time to do a peaceful activity after all the adventures we had in Ubud. This place offers the full experience of Batik Painting, with a whole team of dedicated guys to guide you throughout the whole process. There is no prior art skills needed - they provide you with stencils to draw over so it will still look nice to take home! They offer transport to and from the studio, and will also deliver your batik work to the hotel on the next day so there is no need to wait for it to dry on the same day.

The space itself is lovely and peaceful as you can do art whilst being surrounded in nature. The whole team will help you throughout every step and ensure the end product will be a great gift to take home.

They even gave some yummy Balinese finger food and you may also ask for coffee too. There is no time limit on how long you’d like to spend here, they are happy to host you for the whole day if needed ☺

Tip: best to bring mosquito repellent!

Spent half a day here doing a batik workshop. Wayan and his team are incredibly knowledgeable, skilled, and friendly. We really enjoyed learning about batik and creating/combining our own patterns in a beautiful natural setting. They were very professional and supervised us well, offering help when needed even before we asked. However, a point of consideration (especially for young children) is that my friend spilled the hot wax onto herself, but the staff were not properly trained in first-aid measures. The batik we made was done within an afternoon and Wayan even dropped us off at a local restaurant. Pleased with the experience and would recommend.

I spent a wonderful day learning batik and Keliki painting with Gusti. It was a first time attempting either and he was so kind, funny and patient with me. I felt so at ease.
Gusti himself is a very talented artist and shares his learnings.
The location is beautiful, in a small village just outside Ubud which adds to the whole experience.

I had a great Kelitik Painting Class with Wayan. He showed me great painting technics and helped me a lot. I am not super artistic but he was so patient and we had lots of fun. 😎 I would go back another time when I am in Ubud next time 🙏🏻

I did the Keliki painting workshop, everyone was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share their expertise. If you want a personalised souvenir, I would definitely recommend doing this.
I booked directly off their website, paid cash on arrival. Pick-up and drop-off were included in the price (for hotel in Ubud).

Great experience. I booked throught their website the day before and they contacted me through WhatsApp to arrange for free transportation. I woke up not feeling well and had to cancel, they were very nice and understanding.

I booked another day and they picked me up right on time. The place is really nice with beautiful rice padis view. I chose the batik workshop and the instructor was really good. He is a great teacher and speakes very good English. It lasted close to 4 hours for less than a half million.

This was one of the highlights of my trip and I wish of I could do more activities with them.

This is the best experience I’ve had so far in bali ! Spent the afternoon drawing and learning batik skills. Our teachers were so welcoming, patient and kind. We got yummy homemade snacks and got to take our artwork home. Had the best day !! Love you Wayan. Cantik !!!

It had been an unforgettable day creating my own piece of batik. Wayan had been very knowledgeable, patient and so sweet during the whole process.
Not only that the outcome had been lovely, but also the whole stay there was like a bath and friendliness and sweetness. So I can highly recommend this experience.

Best experience of Bali! Attended the Batik painting class. Instructors were incredibly helpful and friendly. Allowed us to take control of our art and create memories we could physically take home with us. Will never forget this experience. Must do for everyone in Bali.

10/10 recommend these activities. Gusti and putu are amazing teachers. So patient and welcoming. Batik making was sooooo incredible. Very relaxing. Best thing I did in Bali. ❤❤❤
