Popular old style Chinese food in Surabaya with affordable price and great service. If you want to eat here during weekend, make sure you come early (otherwise it will be crowded).

An old school chinese restaurant that's well known among the locals. I would absolutely recommend ordering Burung Dara, Sayur Asin Soup, and Kungpao Chicken. Good luck with the parking though, it's quite packed during lunch/dinner and there are not a lot of available parking spots.

Almost all of the dished here are in a great taste. Considered as an old chinese food restaurant, people come here usually for the signature dish which is fried pigeon. It was a hit. Juicy, salty, not smelly, and no other restaurant in town can beat this.

This place is not as big as the one in Mayjend. However, it has the same crowd. It is completed with high chair but not a wifi service. The price us fair, compare to the taste and the portion.

I recommend not to eat here alone to be able to try more than one delicious dishes. For the beverages, try their es jeruk, it is so refreshing.

This place has been opened for a long time and yet still consistent in flavor. Their best dish is the fried pigeon. It is the best in town. The pigeon is crispy on the skin but the meat is moist. The fried rice is also a favorite.

The restaurant is always crowded and very busy so parking is a challenge. The service can be better especially at the cashier when the young owner is sometimes a bit moody.

Really nice foods, if you want to eat old style chinese foods, this place is best choice, just hope the place is bigger so we dont need to sit near other people..

An old classic indo-chinese restaurant. Foods are very tasty, especially their fried pigeon (burung dara goreng) , and kodok batu sayur asin. Long time to serve the food. But it worths to wait. Will come back here again when visit surabaya

Halim is arguably THE most well known place for Surabaya’s classic indo-chinese style cuisine that have been ingrained as part of the city’s culinary world. When Surabayan think of their comfort indo-chinese cooking cravings Halim will always be on the list for other restaurants to be compared to.

Their Burung Dara (Pigeon) dish is Legendary and for first timers to indo-chinese cooking can offer a strong glimpse to what it is all about.

Note: They have a branch location in West part of Surabaya, but this place is the oldest and offer the best version of Halim restaurant. It is best to carpool or take a taxi as parking is VERY LIMITED.

All time fave chinese food resto in sby, u can’t get Halim taste in other Chinese food restaurants. Burung dara goreng and Song Mie ayam is their must eat food

This restaurant is one of the old restaurants that sells various kinds of Chinese dishes. The taste of the food is good, the service is pretty good. It's just that the cashier service is annoying. 99% of payments by credit card or debit card were refused on the grounds that the edc machine was broken, even though a sticker was printed on the door that accepted payments by credit or debit card.

For me, this is the best chinese-food restaurant in Surabaya. You have to try Nasi Goreng (fried rice) and Koloke (sweet sour chicken). The price is acceptable and the service is good. They also have VIP room if you come in number (more than 10 people).

Pros:
Good family's restaurant in Surabaya city. Easy access by local taxi. Various food with local culture.
Its a clean restaurant and helpfull waiters.

Cons:
They do not have many table to accomodate the guest.
You should be queue in the busy hours (lunch time and weekend) for seating.
Quiet pricy for the food and there are some food that can be sharing.

my favorite place to eat chinese food. the quality of the food is so good. the taste also fits me well. but remember about the price, its very expensive. prepare your budget around 50-100k per person
