Ombak resort at Ekas, a luxury surf and kitesurf destination.

I would love to give more stars. Leaving Ombak was so difficult that we ended up extending our stay. The owners, Leeanne and Tim, and their team are just wonderful.
From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome, and it was clear that no request was too much trouble for them.
The resort itself is a gem, everything is cleen and well kept (not so common in this area). Swimming poll was also clean. Food and coffee was really enjoyable. The rendang and cheesecake are must-tries.
For surfers like us, the pick-up rides to different surf spots with other guests, including boat rides to Ekas inside, was super helpful and really fun. Thanks to them we met great people we could catch waves with and enjoy the spare time in Ombak. Somehow this place attracts really nice and interesting people.
I don’t want to overhype it, but it feels like paradise.

Came to Ekas a few times and OMBAK has most likely the best price/quality ratio.

Lee Anne and Tim have been wonderful, the staff is great and super friendly. Rooms are nice, clean, AC runs very well.
They have the best coffee machine in the entire area 🤩

They provide free boats for surfer to get to Inside Ekas.

This little resort is absolutely magical - we enjoyed every minute here and were lucky enough to stay a blissful 7 days which didn't even seem like enough! Everything was just right. Our room was wonderful, tidied every day and the beds were very comfy. The included breakfasts were a nice touch, always quite a few choices, fresh fruit and amazing coffee. Not to mention the delicious lunch and dinner menu, everything is made fresh. By the end of our trip we had tried just about everything and we were never disappointed. There is a mix of Indo and Western food options and we especially loved the corn fritters, nasi goreng, rendang curries and pizzas. We travelled as a large group for a bday celebration and Tim & Leeanne are so friendly and went above and beyond with staff to arrange special birthday dishes and lots of coconuts too. They also have lovely homemade cakes and drinks which were nice to order for afternoon tea while lounging around. The bar area is very cruisy and a lovely place to relax, there's bean bags and a pool table. There's plenty of options for things to do ... surfing, going out in the boat/swimming, snorkelling day trips, massages without having to leave the resort, sunset drinks at the beach etc. Internet and reception could have been better but it truly felt nicer to be off the grid at times. The staff are so kind and positive too, we could not have felt more welcomed. Thank you for having us in your paradise! Ombak was a perfect place to celebrate and slow down.

What a brilliant resort we have had an absolute ball. Every aspect of this resort is outstanding.
Leanne and Tim could not have done more for us. Thinking about our needs at every moment of the day and night. Nothing was too much trouble they went over and above every single time.
Tim's surf knowledge is priceless and Leanne's attention to every detail is second to none.
Outstanding food we only ate elsewhere on day trips as nothing compared to the quality and variety on offer.

Nothing was a problem, surf / Sup / sunsets on the beach . Pink beach excursion… a real highlight for our group. The local market tour , also a great morning out . Massages any time of the day . Masseuses , both terrific!

To celebrate a decade birthday , our group ages , from 22-70 years young. You made it special , for that we are all grateful. Special thanks for allowing us to consume 10 bottles of French bubbly , lots of duty free liquor and not charging us for byo ! Wow … unheard of . Your home …Ombak , staff and food was tops ! Not to mention the birthday banquet , joke and magic tricks from Tim , Delicious Leeanne cakes /best coffees and fresh fish feast.

This resort located in eastern Lombok is a diamond in the rough. It is a slice of paradise surrounded by authentic unspoiled lands of Indonesia.

On arrival you enter through the Tiki Bar which has a sensational vibe at all times of the day. From the excited surf congregation preparing in the morning, to the chilled dinner crowd at night, the surf bar is the heart of the resort in which the owners have created a soulful atmosphere.

As you move deeper into the resort, luscious beautifully manicured gardens surround a Balinese style pool and the immaculately presented villas. The resort is comprised of only 8 rooms set around the pool which creates a feeling of exclusivity.

It is no exaggeration to say that the food at Ombak is the best on the island. It offers a selection of western and local cuisine which is made fresh from locally sourced supplies - including coconuts harvested by staff while you watch to chickens raised on local farms. A wide selection of breakfast options are included in your stay, and the lunch and dinner options are very reasonably priced. The desserts are to die for! (Highly recommend the Belgian chocolate cake and lime cheesecake).

Although the food and grounds are a prize, far and away the best part of the resort is its staff. Tim and Leeanne are laser focussed on making every stay enjoyable, and nothing is too much. The local staff always greet you with an authentic smile and cheerful disposition.

You cannot go past this nirvana if you’re going to Lombok.

Ombak is hands down the best surf resort Ive ever experienced. Staying here will be the highlight of your trip. From the great food, comfortable rooms and common spaces, to friendly staff. Tim gave me so much valuable insight into surfing and Leanne always made sure I was taken care of. I made some great friends from my time there because of how much more chill and close knit it was than other surf camps. Hope to go back one day!

Excellent stay, clean rooms and working AC, food is tasty and you get real coffee from barista machines.

Ombak resort at Ekas is an amazing place to stay. I spent 5 days by myself. I enjoyed the chill vibe of the resort and of the town. Much more peaceful than in Bali 😉 The owners are great people! Super friendly and welcoming. The food was good and the kitchen was clean and professional. One of the first places in my trip that I felt safe eating raw vegetables (aka a yummy salad!) Tim is an English surf legend. It's been sick hanging out and surfing with him! He gave me great advices to improve my surfing. We usually go surfing altogether (all guests who want to join). A quick pick-up ride followed by a quick boat ride to Inside Ekas. Usually possible to go out twice a day. I would love to come back on another trip. Maybe for 1 month this time 😅 I 100% recommend this place!!

When you find the perfect resort why would you ever want to be anywhere else. From the moment we landed in Lombok, Tim and Leanne went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Anything was never too much trouble for them. The friendly atmosphere they create with all guests creates one big happy place to the point where some of the local boys joined in with some of us guests to put on a show for them to express our appreciation for their efforts.

We had the best stay one could wish for with Lee-Ann and Tim! Unfortunately, we only stayed a couple of days so we couldn’t explore everything this area has to offer, but we will definitely come back to catch up on that! We felt so welcomed and got great surfing guidance/lessons from Tim and Dedy, which was a lot of fun. The rooms are clean and comfortable and this resort feels like a little secluded paradise garden where you can hang out all day if you want.

We stayed more than 3 weeks at the Ombak resort at Ekas and it was just fabulous. The room was lovely furnished and cleaned every day. The people were very friendly and courteous, the food was very delicious and it is a perfect holiday oasis to go surfing, Kite surfing, relax and enjoy. We felt good from the beginning and enjoyed every day even more. We are Kite Surfers and drove with the scooter through the rural vicinity to the Kaliantan Kite beach or when there was no wind we learned surfing with Tim and Dedy. It was fun to went out with the boat to the different surf spots or just to the beach break. Tim & Lee-Anne from the resort are very lovely and friendly, helpful and hilarious personalities. We enjoyed our stay so much and looking forward to come back anytime :)!

Utterly amazing stay! Tim and Leanne are great hosts, the rooms are immaculate and very good quality, the food is great, the calm and relaxation contrasted with amazing surf and the best snorkeling ever at Pink Beach made for a perfect holiday. We ate every meal here for a week and we’re very well nourished. The vibe is chilled and open. The place is everything you need. We will be back!

Lee-ann and Tim are very welcoming, helpful and easy-going. Tim’s expertise and knowledge of surfing and surf breaks was outstanding. The rooms are like new and very comfortable. All the staff are great and very friendly and the food is excellent, with home-made desserts to top it off are 10/10, I’ll be back thanks again Mike

Spent one magical week here and had the best time. It wasn’t long enough!

The resort staff were so friendly and thoughtful ensuring every last detail was considered so all I had to do was relax and have fun. The rooms were clean, functional and so lovely. Every day you could enjoy delicious meals at the Tiki Bar and chat with everyone while surrounded by the most beautiful views. Great local knowledge for surfing and everything water.

Can’t recommend visiting here enough!!! It’s the place to go in Indonesia for sure!

I went to Ekas to surf and Ombak was the perfect place to stay. I was looking for a clean, peaceful place with some garden space so my wife could relax while I went surfing. Ombak ticked all the boxes. The rooms were very nice as well as spacious. They take you to the best surf surf spots for the day. The waves are quiet and the overall vibe is very chill. My last session there was amazing. There was only two of us out there. It is worth noting that it was very hot so we were happy for the steady breeze that passed through Ombak Resort.
We highly recommend going to pink beach, getting a boat and going for a snorkel trip. It is about two hours long and cost 400k. It took us about 40 mins on the scooter to get there and was easy using Google maps. Very cheap for a private boat and the guides were very helpful with my nervous wife. The fish and the coral were amazing.

Thank you Tim and Lee-Anne for an amazing experience in your stunningly beautiful bespoke resort. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and clean with each looking out onto the inviting pool and lush gardens.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious, especially the homemade desserts and sensational coffee.

Ombak is like a home away from home. The resort pets, Coco, Jessie and Hunter were super friendly and I miss them already.

I did not stay here but I definately would stay hers next time when visiting Ekas. We had dinner hete twice and had the best beef rendang ever! Would also recommend their cheescake. The owners are super friendly and welcoming.

We just had a fabulous stay at Omack. Tim and Lee—Ann were wonderful hosts from our arrival to departure. The rooms were clean and lovely, the food good and of course the surf. Appreciated the tips Tim gave and all the attention to detail. I hope to be able to return again in the future.
