Great Japanese BBQ place in Jakarta! Delicious meat offerings, great service and private rooms! Would definitely bring a jacket and order hot tea as our room was really cold! Recommended dinner spot to come with friends and family.

Still one of the best Japanese grill in Jakarta. Very old establishment, don’t expect a modern & chic décor. They have private rooms which I always prefer to dine in there.

Their meat are delicious, succulent and tender. If you’re feeling lavish, order their variety of wagyu A5. I enjoy this type of meal than the buffet style which has lost its meaning for the sake of binge eating. Use Kawano membership to grab 10% disc and a 50% on your birthday week (Mon-Thur only).

A Jakarta classic, it has certainly earned its 5 star badges. Has been around as long as I can remember yet the place stays consistent and yummy, with the space being refurbished continuously without disrupting service. Today we enjoyed our meal at their newest and very spacious private room that has a restroom inside. A very thoughtful convenience.

It was a pleasant and enjoyable dinner provided here.
The grill offers japanese style yakiniku and a variety type of japanese food, and I can say that all the food provided here is superb.

Guests will be served in japanese style private room for 4 people and you can choose to grill the meat in the room or have it cooked in kitchen and served directly to you.

My favorite is to order some meat (harami, rosu, or karubi) and one-two tongue meat (gyutan) then eat it with white rice.
You can also order some soup to accompany your meal (e.g. wakame soup)

The atmosphere is good, and this place also serves very high end wagyu meat if anyone is interested to try it.

Great quality of meats. What I like the most is how they have a lot of private room (a nice one with sofa inside too). Very spacious restaurant with fast service too.

For almost 20 years we have been loyal customers of The Grill. During that time it has never failed us. The best choice of meat, soft and juicy.
And excellent service

However, during the C-19 pandemic, we had never been there. Tonight is our first visit after a long absence.

We ordered jou karubi, gyutan, hanetsu karubi, garlic rice, wakame soup and ogura ice cream. They were still as delicious as ever.

My favorite grill restaurant for many years, at least 15 yrs since I know them. Serving good quality selections, good service, cozy atmosphere with a few private tatami rooms. I like the exhaust system, where smokes is sucked thru the bottom of the grill keeping the room uncluttered and free from smokes and odors.

Lost count of visits to dine in here. Only order Jou Karubi, Yukejang (oxtail soup), bibimbap. For its premium quality of meat, the price is still considered reasonable.

Their meat never failed! Whoever I bring to this yakiniku restaurant, they always satisfied.

Very private place for dinner, good place for having a private business dinner. And the food is great.

I have been to this place since at least around 20 years and quality was always their top of the list together with cozy private room named after the ingredients.

Their meat quality are second to none and there are not many other restaurants around the city that can compete at this level of ingredients.

Both Australian and US wagyu beef are super juicy and slightly marinated charcoal grilled for that extra smokiness taste accompanied with fresh raw garlic and dip sauce/spices.

Also you get 50% off total bill up to Rp.4jt on your birthday which is nice.

This place might be quite old and spacious with so many private rooms but it's and advantage for you and your colleagues having lunch together without any disruption.
The service is great, but the meat portion is quite less, only 100gr each. You might ordered more because of that. But they have very reasonable price.

Fantastic Japanese BBQ in Jakarta. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and service provided in this restaurant.

Getting here is easy and you can park at the basement parking. It might be a bit of a maze at first to find the place.

Reserve your spot for a private room if possible for maximum enjoyment. They have lots of private room areas, btw. Meat quality is superb! It is expensive but so worth the money spent.

Just found the place this year..turns out the restaurant already old enough. The meat is so good and the service is great also. They have many private rooms, while the dining area outside is not too big. Lunch package on weekdays is really worth it and includes dessert and ice coffee.. perfect.

Simply the best Yakiniku restaurant in Jakarta.

Love to back eat here again. Portion wise is smaller but taste wise still satisfying esp yukkejang.
If you order set menu, you can get appetizer (edamame, salad, kimchi) also dessert (coffee/tea and ice cream).
